Avatar f tn It most commonly happens during bowel movements, period cramps, when hit by sudden hot water (like a shower or hot tub), when forced to stand in one spot for a long time, or when doing something that takes exertion and causes you to sweat a lot. It is basically just a few seconds of your blood pressure tanking. Sitting down, putting your head between your knees, or laying down can help it go away if you feel it coming. Also, salt can help bring your bp back up when it happens.
917177 tn?1243354247 t think its particularly heavy bleeding either, but my cramps are so bad it makes me feel like fainting w/e that means? lol I have a physical to renew my prescription for adhd medicine so i'll try to mention it at the end. I'm just so scared to mention it, i don't know why its so hard to bring it up. But at least just my mom is going to be there. Thanks again!
Avatar n tn Up until about 6 months ago i never even had cramps during my period, and it lasted maybe 4 days. Now i get unbearable cramps the day before it starts and they last all 6-7 days of my period, and the 1st 2 days im very heavy. But this is what scares me: for the past 4 months, on the 2nd-to-last day of my period, ive been fainting when i shower. i start to feel really dizzy and light-headed, nauseous, and my vision starts to go, and a few seconds later my legs give.
Avatar f tn Hi, I’m 22 and I started my periods when I was 14, they were fine easy periods with no real cramps. Some when in the next year I started fainting on the first day of my period including sometimes throwing up. During the next few years it got worse, to the point I would faint then have to stay lying down for over 10 – 20 minutes at a time. During that next 10 hours I would throw up continually until I would fall asleep with exhaustion.
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks also and I am really dizzy first thing in the morning when I wake up as well as nausea. Sometimes it seems like I will just feel better if I did puke :( I have some cramps too, not bad but just like minor period cramps. I was told as long as the cramps don't stop you from doing your daily activities then it's perfectly normal!!
Avatar f tn I started getting these cramps which I thought were because of my period which is two days late. I went to the toilet and I was fine so I went back to wait for my suitcase and the pain came back but was worse. I started feeling dizzy, turned pale and fainted. Once I got to the hotel the cramps were still there and diarrhea started to occur. Started off having to go every 5min and now I'm feeling better and have to go to the toilet less. Does anyone know what it can be?
Avatar f tn Im 5 weeks pregnant with my seond child, i was having really bad cramps but no bleeding the other day and i went to the ER, they said everything looking and seemes fine and normal. I woke up in the middle of the night last night with excruciating pain in the left side of my back and i tossed and turned until i couldnt lay there anymore and had to get up. Just curious if this is normal bc i didn't have these pains with my first child.

Avatar f tn I'm also due June 18th!! Congrats! Yes it's normal to have light cramps. If they are more like AF cramps see your Dr. I've been having slight cramping for about a week now and Dr said it's OK, it's just the uterus stretching.
Avatar n tn Hello, I'm 23 years old and ever since I first got my first period I've had menstrual cramps on the right side of my lower abdomen. I've never though much of this, until recently when I realized most of the women I know say they feel cramping on both sides, or just on the lower abdomen.
Avatar f tn Has anemia been ruled out in the blood work up? Anemia due to heavy periods is a common cause of fainting in menstruating females. causes of leg cramps may be dehydration, dyselectrolytemias, medications like diuretics, statins, an injury like overstretched muscles, shin splints, atherosclerosis of arteries causing claudication pain, deep vein thrombosis, cellulitis, arthritis or gout, nerve damage as in diabetics, smokers and alcoholics, osteomyelitis or corticosteroids use.
Avatar n tn Hi there, I am a 36 year old single woman who has always suffered from severely painful periods that sometimes include fainting. Just yesterday it happened again. This time though, it came suddenly. No pain, no warning. I AM due to get my period but haven't gotten it yet. But, yesterday i had a sudden fainting spell followed by about 20 minutes of torturous pain. I am not on birth control and have not have kids yet... I have made an appt. with both my gyno and doctor. What is up with me?
Avatar n tn They come and go. They get much more noticeable after walking around a lot which is what I have to do at work all day. It's like on my side's by my hip vines as well as like lower abdomen. It's just random as to where it hits when it does. They rotate spots of cramping.
Avatar n tn I got a swedish massage Saturday afternoon and about a half hour after started to feel a little sick. It felt like cramps/nausea and came in waves. I had my period for a few days, but was not feeling bad before the massage at all this month. About 2 hours after the massage while I was shopping I felt really sick and fainted. I've never fainted before in my life. Do you think it was the massage? Im hoping its not something more serious.
917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.
403255 tn?1278813266 I have had a poo (sorry TMI) at 4pm both days with cramps just before (normal for me) but this is an hour after it happens and I asked if it could be this. She said preparing to poo lowers your blood pressure so could be. if it is this, how on Earth can I do anything about it, can't force myself to poo when it's not ready!!
Avatar m tn Has any one had fainting with IBS? This has happened to me 4 times. Last time fell forward and broke my check bone. Always follows a bout of IBS,i.e., cramping, stools, sweating, etc.
Avatar n tn I have the same problem, I have fainted from stomach cramps, period cramps, etc. Sometimes ending up in the hospital overnight because my bp and pulse would crash. I think the only way to stop this is to nip it at its source, stop the pain from occuring. Do you have some kind of colitis? Your doctor will have to give you some kind of anti spasmodic for the cramping.
Avatar f tn My last fainting was Dec 2007 when I had cramps when I was asleep. My first symptom for mvp is being lightheaded and the feeling that I will faint anytime. My doctor said that it was because of my mvp and also anxiety. Today, I don't feel fainting spells so often. But still, I am not comfortable being alone and definitely not confident going out without companion.
