Common Questions and Answers about Fainting nausea children

fainting

Avatar n tn I have copied this out for you, it happens quite frequently While there are uncommon serious causes of passing out in children, the majority of fainting episodes are brought about by reasons that are neither serious nor life-threatening. The most common reason for fainting in children is called vasovagal syncope [VAY-so-VAY-gull SEENK-oh-pee). Vasovagal syncope is an abnormal reaction of the nerves to otherwise normal circumstances. These nerves dictate the heart rate and blood pressure.
Avatar m tn My 12 year old brother has experienced 3 episodes of syncope, 2 of them happened 3 years ago and the last happened today. He was doing fine all through this time interval. the symptoms he had in these 3 episodes in addition to fainting are dizziness, nausea and 'chest pain' (according to him... i cudn't make sure if he had a real pain or just tightness) and this concerns me the most. What cud be the cause? HOCM? Long QT syndrome? cud it be just vasovagal attack?

Avatar m tn I am a 43 yr old male, not overweight and in decent shape. Ihave had fainting problems over the past 4 years. I used to think it was stress/anxiety issues but now I am not sure. I started going to my family doctor and the doctor diagnosis was vasovagal syncopy. I have been tested for the following and all came back normal: EKG's 2x a year Eco- cardiogram CT scan Blood work 1x a year Heart Monitor for 2 weeks - of course i did not faint when I had it.
Avatar f tn Yes! If I wait to long to eat it's nausea, weaknesses, dizziness, then fainting. But it all happens in a matter of 30-40 Min. My doctor said it was my sugar dropping from not eating enough.
Avatar f tn After eating the med (magnesium trisilicate, metoclopramide and paracetamol) given to me to ease my discomfortness, my fever had gone down, sometimes i still have dizzy spells (but no fainting), but my nausea and frequent urination doesnt improve, instead the nausea got a little worse. For my nausea, i kept having there's "something stucking" around my chest area. When i tried to expel it out, little blots of white phlegm were seen.
Avatar n tn Nausea is a serious symptom. It is impossible to know what it "is" without an evaluation. Yes, it could be "feminine problems", but you really don't know. I'm in the United States and am a firm believer in the Emergency Room of a teaching hospital. These people are really good. Not a visit to the "local practicioner".
Avatar f tn but i had to chew peppermint or sparemint gum to help with the nausea and that helped me and i also talked to my doctor about nausea medicine too and he gave me zofran for nausea. and i was 16 and pregnant at the time but had him at 17 a month in a half after my bday.
Avatar n tn Since the beginning of February I have been suffering fainting and near fainting spells. Sometimes I can feel it coming on (tinitus like sound in my ear, blurred vision, can't hear or speak properly and headaches), sometimes it comes on so fast I can't tell till it's too late (One time I was talking normally to a friend and was feeling fine, then turned around and fell feeling horrible). This happens all the time at work, outside on the street, in the mall, etc.

Avatar f tn I sort of know I'm going to faint/blackout as I start to sweat and get a severe headache, the headache feels like a preaxure that has built up and the only way my body can relieve it is by "Fainting/Blacking Out".
Avatar f tn My daughters symptoms are mainly low blood pressure, low heart rate, low blood sugar, headaches, dizziness, fainting, weakness, and occasional seizures. There are too many symptoms to list really though. Her treatment right now is Florinef, Ritalin, Midodrine, and saline hydration therapy through her PICC. I just take Florinef.
Avatar f tn Ive been fainting and have nausea constantly which doesnt help the fact i have to constantly eat to prevent from fainting. People say its because im having a boy. Any opinions?
Avatar n tn I tested positive in home pregnancy test on July 10. But I still do not have any pregnancy symptoms like nausea, fainting, etc. I'm meeting doctor only on Aug 15. I'm not sure if I'm really pregnant and everything is fine with the baby. Is that fine if I don't feel any change or is there anything I can do at home to confirm my pregnancy health?

Avatar m tn heavy sweating, paleness, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea or , fainting. If these condition persists, it would be best to see your doctor for proper management. Cooling measures that may be effective like drinking plenty of fluids, breaks from work, cool shower, and light weight clothing could help.(http://www.medicinenet.com/heat_exhaustion/article.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have fainted several times per year since I was a very little girl. More seizure like than faint, told not epilepsy, but "just phrone to fainting". I learnt to have high salt diet and reads the signs of when one was coming on, often laying down with feet up seemed to help...but not all the time. Was told I'd grow out of it, which seemd to be the case when started to happen less (ie only once a year)....but during my late 20s I started to get them around every 4-6mths.
Avatar m tn My mother has had bouts of fainting and light headedness. Sometimes they come weekly and other times not for 2 months. This has been going on since 2007. She has been admitted to hospital on a number of occasions but each time they have not come to any conclusions as to a diagnosis. These attacks of light headedness last 2-5 minutes. She slurs her speech, gets pins and needles in her arms, and sometimes but not always faints.
