Avatar n tn but pain persists, only feels better when cold pack nums area. Unable to take pain killers due to nausea and fainting. Doc advises will send me in three days to pain clinic. Do other women expierence? Will I always have pain? Any other methods to deal with this?
Avatar m tn For larger hiatal herinas, symptoms can include chest pain, nausea, belching etc. It is quite possible that you suffered a vasovagal reaction secondary to the chest pain you experienced, which may or may not be the result of a hiatal hernia. The good news is that during your recent hospitalization, they were able to determine that your symptoms were unrelated to your heart. During your stay, did you happen to mention or wasit mentioned to you that this could be from a hernia?
Avatar f tn I always used to get stomach cramps and abdominal bloating/pain just before fainting. Sometimes I would get diarrhoea and vomiting in place of fainting. I have since cut out all wheat from my diet - and amazingly - no more stomach pains, bloating or diarrhoea! This may not work for everyone - but definately worth a try. If you want to give it a go, cut out all wheat products (check those labels carefully!) for two - four weeks.
Avatar n tn There are metabolic syndromes in children presenting with nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. If there are other manifestations, sometimes undiagnosed cause of abdominal pain is something called porphyria, for which specific testing exists. Also, if there is suspiscion based on multiple other symptoms, mitochondrial disorders can present with neurologic abnormalities along with GI symptoms. Conditions such as Cyclic vomiting can also present with episodes of vomiting with no underlying cause.
Avatar m tn in addition, i had pretty much constant intestinal movement, gases, and diarrhea for 1 day, no abdominal pain. the following day fever started, i had no appetite at all, and i was getting heavy night sweats and one night i was restless and fainted. i had emt over and their conclusion was stomach flu and malnourishment/dehydration. i went back to my doctor the following morning, and he pretty much said the same and prescribed substances with electrolytes.

Avatar f tn They confirmed POTS, autonomic neuropathy, abdominal pain, chronic nausea syndrome. They are not sure of the cause of the nausea. When they ran a 'stick' (for lack of a better word) over his left abdomin, it twitched and reacted. There was no reflex or reaction on his right side, where all of his abdominal pain is. This has piqued the doctors interest. Has anyone else, who experiences the abdominal pain, had this happen? Are the nerves damaged, so they don't respond?
Avatar m tn Nerve pain throughout my body, swollen lymph nodes, fainting, nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain. All blood work has come back clean and it's been an exhaustive list. I had a cardiac study with echo and inpatient evaluation and there were no abnormalities. I'm a 25 year old male and have always been healthy. Im so scared that I'm on a downward spiral that will lead to my death. Please help me.
Avatar f tn My 20 year old daughter has experienced abdominal pain off and on for the last 5 years. She has been treated for GERD, IBS, Ulcers and stress. She has had gall bladder ultra sounds, an endoscopy, an upper GI with a small bowel follow through and most recently a gall bladder ejection fraction test. All tests have been normal, but the episodes continue to become more frequent, more intense and longer lasting. She worries constantly about when and where these episodes will occur.
Avatar f tn t worry about it too much because our family (and myself personally) have a history of fainting, so I ignored it. In about May (I think), I started having problems with abdominal pain. It got pretty bad, so we went back to the doctor. She told me it was probably related to too much acid in my stomach and gave me some medication to take. Well, that didn't help, so we went back.
Avatar n tn Could be intestinal virus.
1994720 tn?1352742233 t eat, had severe around-the-clock nausea, some vomiting, loss of appetite, and abdominal pain spread beyond the usual SOD ruq pain (later determined to be pancreatic pain). It got so bad I was so malnourished I was fainting and dizzy all the time and was down to 93 pounds (I am 5'4" and usually 130 pounds). Eventually, I had to be tube fed through my small intestine to bypass the duodenum.
Avatar m tn Can stomach pain from h pylori also cause pain in the intestines (which is where the right sided mid/lower pain seems to be)? Also, about a year ago I had colon resection surgery for diverticulitis in my descending colon. Is it possible that diverticulosis may have developed in my ascending colon? The pain in my lower abdomen is not like the pain I had when I had diverticulitis but I can't help but wonder if this is what I have again. Thank you.
1265994 tn?1270146877Abdominal or pelvic pain or tenderness. It can be sudden, persistent, and severe but may also be mild and intermittent early on. You may feel it only on one side, but the pain can be anywhere in your abdomen or pelvis and is sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting. • Vaginal spotting or bleeding. Avatar f tn abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fainting, dizziness, chest pain, weakness and tremor. I had acute pain at the bite site,102 fever, felt cold and fatigued. Within about 24 hours the fever had subsided to @ 100.0. Within 48 hours my fever was about gone. My swelling and fatigue is still persistant 5 days later. I was bitten on the top of my foot.
Avatar n tn Since the beginning of February I have been suffering fainting and near fainting spells. Sometimes I can feel it coming on (tinitus like sound in my ear, blurred vision, can't hear or speak properly and headaches), sometimes it comes on so fast I can't tell till it's too late (One time I was talking normally to a friend and was feeling fine, then turned around and fell feeling horrible). This happens all the time at work, outside on the street, in the mall, etc.
Avatar m tn I'm a thirteen year old female, with chronic abdominal pain that has been coming on and off since i was born. Doctors could never determine what was wrong, so they just labeled it irritable bowl syndrome, but recently i was in the hospital for about a week. Before, I spiraled into trouble for about a month, of feeling continuously nauseous, tired, and on and off extreme abdominal pain.
