I like to know as much as I can about my meds. I know the lethal dose of lithium is about 5gs or 5000mgs which is about 5 times what I am prescribed. I also have looked up the symptoms of lithium toxicity (not fun). But I can't seem to fine anywhere how long after a lethal amount or a small overdose (such as 1 accidental extra dose) on top of toxicity symptoms would start to show or when death would take place. So my question is when would symptoms begin to show and when would death occur.

that is an extremely high dose...you should know that barbiturate tolerance is very different than tolerance to other things. you need more and more but the lethal dose remains the same...so if 1gm is the lethal dosage, it won't change just because you've built a tolerance to the effects of it. i would find a taper plan immediately. you are very close to that lethal dose mark. barbiturates are so rare that most people don't understand the addiction.

Was he on methadone prior to going and if he was how long was he on it? What do you mean by the doctor misread the labs and started him out on triple the amount?How high was his dose? an effect of wd,youll probably have the shakes bad, sometimes minor to Violent convulsions, people on relaly longer term use with extremely high dose can have lethal seizures, general bad feeling/mood, muscle pain,aches, and spasms, and theyre are alot more but it depends on the severity of use you had, let me know how much and how long?..you could also be tapering your dose a little too fast, the best bet is to take it slow and at your own pace..

What your describing is not methadone withdrawals and that is a HUGE amount of clonapine dont know if thats enough to make him act the way he is or he might very well be mixing it with something else.....the clonipine at that dose is lethal and if he got pulled over by the cops he would not be able to pass a sobriety test.....

I think the Xanax would just put you to sleep, that's a fairly high dose.

It doesn't produce "immediate lethal effects". It will be slow and you will fall asleep. There's another word for what you did. It's called an overdose. If you really took that much Ibuprofen and Benadryl, and I assume you did, you need to call an ambulance.

You need to see your doctor right away to have those meds reviewed,I have never heard of anyone taking that many Kpins at once--that is an extremely high dose--please see your doctor asap.

i agree. that amount of oxy is dangerous. alot of us have gotten through disk damage through other means. found other ways of pain management. please feel free to PM me if you want some input. i did it all. i knwo the insomnia is hard. and i don't think anyone here can tell you if it's a lethal dose - that mix. it is for some, not for others.

how much seroquel are you taking? try to lower the dose, seroquel is used as sleeping aid at around 25 to 100mg approximately. You can try some antidepressant to control your appetite. I definitely do not recommend ambien or lunesta, for long term treatment of insomnia. They have a very short life in your body and it which builds up tolerance quickly. The so called "z" drugs ambien and lunesta (zolpidem, zopiclone, zaleplon and eszopiclone) are for short term insomnia only.

25 mgs its safe to go cold turkey and if its too bad for you then switch over to 5-10mgsw of valium a longer lasting benzo that would be equivalent to your dose on xanax(.5ngs)....even if you did go CT from the dose your at now it wouldnt be lethal, it would be discomfort for about 5-7 days, and then its over. i would do this medically supervised with your therapist or doc....stay strong and defl get off xanax its one of those terrible drug out there on the market..

Did you get one dose, or two doses of the MMR? I'd call your doctor as bnl suggested. Rubeola isn't as risky for the baby as the other measles covered in the MMR, which is Rubella, but you need to ask your doc what to do about possible exposure.
