Avatar f tn I had moderate endometriosis (caused heavy painful periods)so I had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, d and c, and another HSG and the following month and any other time it has been tested, it has been in the 5 to 6 range. So even though the drs wont say one way or the other in my situation I think my endo. was making mine high. I havent researched it or anything but I have no other explaination except that. Maybe something to look into.
Avatar f tn dosage was increase to 375 ui for 3 days and still, estradiol is low and no follicles seen. doctor advised to cancel the ivf due to abandon cycle and try next cycle again with an increase dosge of 450ui. Why is it that my body is not responding to gonal f even though the dosage has been increased? Is there a problem? How sure i am that i will respond to next cycle if its already 450 ui? What would be my other options if i am really not responding to that med?
Avatar n tn I had a hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy and appendectomy due to severe endometriosis which had infiltrated my ovaries and was all over my other organs as well (plus a lot of endometriosis was also removed that had adhered to my bowels, bladder, and appendix) . To help me avoid radical menopause sypmtoms, my doctor immediately started me on a .5 mg. Vivelle-dot estrogen patch after surgery, and I felt fine. Two weeks later, he added a 100 mg.
1820675 tn?1317183244 t want any left over endo to start growing again from supplemental estradiol, but there is a ton of info out there on ways to combat that and still be on the supplementation.
Avatar f tn To me if I was to read this it sounds like it is implicating possibly Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. If you are in pain it should be removed depending on the symptoms you are having. What made you get the ultrasound pain?
1809377 tn?1316520328 Even so, sometimes they will atrophy about three to six months after a hysterectomy and so you might experience a drop in Estradiol and a drop in Testosterone. If, of course, you have your ovaries removed, then you have lost your ability to create the sex hormones and will most likely choose to use supplemental estradiol and a little bit of testosterone. That's what I have done and it's made a world of difference in more ways than just in the area of sexual response.
Avatar n tn I have to guess at what your doctor is thinking, but to me it sounds like he wants to do a day 3 FSH and estradiol level, and yes, I suspect he is trying to rule out premature ovarian failure. It is possible that your ovaries were damaged by the endometriosis surgery. Has anyone considered Metformin for you? Just an aside.
533193 tn?1289727345 i'm not sure what all of those results mean.. hopefully someone else can help ya out! : ) i'm on pill too and frustrated, i'm spotting and cramping and still have a week of pills left , think the cysts are still there :( ughh!
Avatar n tn After the miscarriage the doctor removed the large cyst from my ovary and told me he found endometriosis. I never knew I had that disease and I don't suffer ANY problems from it unless it is the cause of my cysts and irregular periods??? The doctor that performed the surgery also did not tell me that it was a chocolate cyst, but this new doctor based on the U/S pic I brought to the appt said it was.
Avatar f tn Norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol – Significantly impacted severity and duration of migraines, but provides no protection against other PMS symptoms and cause me to be a rageful, emotionally insane person for 3 days.
Avatar n tn I just found out I have a day 3 FSH of 16 and estradiol of 29. I ovulate every month according to the ovulator predictors. My ob told me I have a 5-10% chance of pregnancy. I just started taking 100 mg of Clomid. My husband refuses to go through any infertility treatments like IUI. I had my 3 year old daughter at 40. Got pregnant the first we tried. All of this is a shock. Has anyone had success with just Clomid with a high FSH?
659607 tn?1247116266 The use in my arm and had back and all! I just am getting bloated and the weight jumps up and down like a yoyo. hope someone knows what to do..
Avatar n tn The estradiol supresses this mechanism, allowing multiple follicles to mature, and making your chlomid or other drugs a better shot at producing multiple eggs.
Avatar n tn am....I had a hysterectomy in 2005 for endometriosis...and have not stopped sweating since.....I now take .5 mg of Divigel (I went up as high as 1mg of estradiol, but the ENDO CAN come back, even without the parts...those dang implants left over still can cause problems.....I wear light clothes ALWAYS.....coffee, hot foods, alcohol...all those fun things only make things worse. For me. For you, things will be probably different a bit.
Avatar f tn Sorry! 30 year old female no meds. History of endometriosis. Endo ruling out secondary hypoT and looking at my adrenal levels. My endometriosis specialist confirmed no PCOS. Thanks for help!!!!
Avatar f tn In the past three days my beta increased from 186 to 534, but my progesterone and estradiol both dropped. Progesterone went from 93 to 73.3 and estradiol went from 520 to 503. Should I be concerned? I'm 15 days post-transfer. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Hi, My partner and I have been together 7 years, after 3 years of been together we decided to try for a baby. I had problems prior to this decisions, which after numerous test etc I was informed I have polycystic ovaries and endometriosis. It's been 4 years now and still no luck. Ive just recently changed my GP as didn't find mine was taking this at all seriously.
1386249 tn?1303092096 I need some feedback on my hormone levels since this hormone testing is new to me. I haven't heard from my OB, but this is what my Progesterone and Estradiol levels are according to my family doc: tell me what you think ON CD10 taken February 24 Progesterone level is 0.7 Estradiol level is 1.71 What this means...I have absolutely no clue. I tried reading on it, and it seems as if I should not have tested on CD10. I should have tested on CD 3....is this correct?
Avatar f tn Hi. This was my first time doing IVF. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and have been trying to conceive for more than a year with no success. I am age 34. Anyhow, I started mly IVF cycle in January. It is really hard work! Aside from taking all the meds that make me so bloated and cramped all the time, I have to give myself Lupron and Estradiol injections into my own stomach! Ouch!!!! My stomach is all purple from the shots. Then there's the extremely painful egg retrieval!
Avatar f tn My gyno ordered a ultrasound to check the thickness of my uterine lining and make sure that I did not have endometriosis and/or ovarian cysts. I did not. /she also prescribed low dose vaginal estradiol tabs that I could use to stop a cycles if it went beyond 7 days. She also ran lab tests on the FSH, LH, estradiol, progesterone and other things. to make sure that I can was having pituitary related issues vs other things. It takes time.
216278 tn?1308861082 , it has been determined that I have sub-clinical hypothyroidism and my estrogen levels are low. This is the first month that I have worn an Estradiol patch and am just getting concerned! I know that the best advice and words of wisdom come from those who have experienced it, so I thought that I would start here... Is it possible that this patch can raise my Estrogen to a level that would hinder my chances at pregnancy this month? (I wear it for 10 days after I ovulate!) Thanks!
318181 tn?1336443496 I am on Clomid and estradiol. I was told that the estradiol is to make sure your lining in nice and thick to help the egg implant? As for the price of IUI's mine is $273. My insurance doesn't cover any of it so it isn't horrible. Much cheaper than IVF.
Avatar n tn For menopausal reasons and especially at your age, I am glad to see your doctor gave you estradiol and only that (no other estrogens in the mix). As far as the patch goes, use trial and error if you have problems with it sticking. Also, sometimes if you are exercising frequently, you may be metabolizing the estradiol rather quickly, so keep a list of symptoms as they occur so that you can share this info with your doctor in case a dosing change has to be made.
1134811 tn?1284550821 The change in cervical mucus I did not notice. However my doctor prescribed estradiol at the same time with my 150mg of Clomid. The estradiol helps to create more of the beneficial ewcm. I also did the 150mg of Clomid with no IUI. The side effects at this high of a dose were terrible for me though... Ugh!
