I have had jaw pain for many days, only on one side, now i have ear and throat pain on the same side, and my jaw hurts so bad, like I had been punched (or so I assume) really har din the jaw. It hurts to eat, and I have pain in my ear and a sore throat.....can anyone give me advise? Bad sinuses? Time to go the Dr?
A few lymph nodes in the neck/under jaw/left side between ear and jaw (not sure if parotid gland, masseter muscle, or something else) are slightly enlarged. The jaw is slightly tender (if I touch it, I'd rate the pain at 0.5). Also feels like my left ear is clogged, very rarely I get a popping sensation with no particular rhythm (doesnt mimic heartbeat, pops are between every 5-20 seconds and lasts for 4-8 hours so far).
I know many people with this and it can cause headaches, neck pain, ear pain, all kinds of pain in your head/face area. First I would talk with your regular doctor then maybe a referral, if your doctor agrees, to someone who specializes in TMJ disorders. Also, you might go to a dentist specializing in TMJ disorders or a maxillofacial specialist, because a problem with the jaw is strongly suspect with headache on the side with jaw pain. Do you clench or grind your teeth when you sleep? I'm a clencher myself and I have both joints with arthritis and joint disc dislocations, with one of them out of place even when I open my mouth (called without reduction, I believe).
Two weeks ago I felt a releltless pressure on my left ear for almost a week. Then I had severe pain on the two broken teeth I have on my left side but no ear pressure. Then the tooth pain eased completely but now the ear pressure is back. This is sometimes precedeed by neck/throat pain.
Is this teeth problems or ear, eye nose and throat problem?
I have an appointment with a dental surgeon on tues but I don't even know if I that's the right kind of doctor.
e 3 i got sore lyumph node on the left side of my neck , behind the ear and it goes down to the neck . Then i got sore throat on the left side . These symptoms comes and goes. In the morning when i get up sysmptoms n soreness is not there and then comes during the day.... i went to the ENT specialist he said i dont hAve sore throat i have sinus problem . He gave me some antibiotics, nasal spray, sinus medicine .
Honestly I dont feel any pain around my jaw, But when I open/close my jaw I can feel a cracking sound in the left jaw (yes around my left ear) but still no pain. The pressure I feel is comes very quickly either when I rest the back of my head on the chair or when I lay the back of my head on bed. Also this discomfort is very noticable when I close my eyes! Sometimes the valsava manuveur makes me feel better only for a few seconds.
Started having major stuffiness in my left ear and pain behind and in front of my ear and when i would open my mouth my jaw made cracking noises. Some mornings when i would wake up my jaw on the left side would be locked. Dr recommended seeing ENT about my ears and throat and the fact that while all this was going on i was constantly having allergy problems. The ENT did scope down throat said everything looked inflamed and diagnosed LPR and allergies.
It started with mouth ulcers and feeling of fullness and swelling around the ear (towards the jaw) on my left side. The pain and pressure was almost unbearable. I went to the ent and he gave me an antibiotic and steroid. They helped and the pain went away for the week I was on them. As soon as I came off of the medicine the problems returned.
Next I went to the dentist thinking maybe I had a hidden tooth problem.
Now im having deep throat pain on my right side everytime i swallow including the jaw and inner ear pain at once. That pain in my throat hurts whn i turn my head to the left but not the right. The pain is literally one the right side. this is all becoming too much. It wont go away and im a little worried irritated and becoming agitated with the whole thing. Im am just giving up on going to the doctor and hear the same thing about the inflammation.

on sunday my ear started to have the muffled weirdness feeling again. in the morning and the whole morning i felt. today i have again the ear like my left ear. its like im in a very quiet room with a kinda weird ringing wooo. like noise? like muffled covered ear. stiff neck and bumps under jaw. its like im hanging upside down with blood rushing to my head or something. feels like my vein neck is pressure or like someone holding my neck cant hear????
t bother me, but in very similar positions on the other side of my throat I have the same pattern of markings but they are raised and swoolen like yours. They bug my throat and i feel like that whole side of my neck, jaw, and even ear are involved. My ENT suggested I go off dairy, but that hasn't done anything. I've had scans of my glands and thyroid - none of which have amounted to anything to help diagnoss anything.
I am 54 - 2/18 contacted my regular dentist - after discussion what I was feeling she called in an antibiotic for me with instructions to come in Monday (was after hours). On 2/20 when to my regular dentist with pain it was from a previous root cannel tooth that had cracked on the side and become infected. They referred me to an oral surgeon. On 2/23/22 I had #31 molar removed on the left side.
) My pain and lumps are primarily associated with my right side of my jaw ear and neck area. Often times the whole side of my neck feels tight and swollen on the inside and under my tongue as well. I feel like something is pressing on nerves causing tingling soreness and discomfort.
I asked the doctor if antibiotics would be a consideration for treatment 6 months ago and I got the talk about the over use of antibiotics. I have still not taken any type of antibiotics in regard to this problem.
Sinus allergies also cause neck muscle tension and pain that spreads to the scalp, causes lymph nodes to swell and put pressure on nerves that cause ear and jaw pain. Allergies can trigger pain in the face, ear, neck, head/scalp and jaw/tmjd, as well as put pressure on the perotid glands and salivary glands. I've had some triggered by using prednisone to help treat sinus and lung infections.
Over the last month, I developed salivary gland infection slight swelling on the left side and people notice only if I tell them. I fell constant blockage in my left ear and sometime when I press the gland I feel some relief as either mucous or blocked saliva goes through my throat. The left jawline is quite different to the right as there are slight bumps or skin is more tight.
The same symptoms, fullness of ear, more in the one ear than the other, the crackling of the jaw, sometimes I get a feeling like my throat muscles pulls stiff. I move my jaw constantly, sometimes open my jaw as big as possible till it sounds like a piece of bone breaks off. Went to dr. about 5 time with this problem. Everytime I got nasal spray and sinus pills. he said it would go away, but its been like this for more than 2 years.
Sometimes it seems to ache under my neck and jaw, sometimes in the front of my throat, and the achiness seems to get worse as the day progresses, I will often feel a lot of pressure by my ears, a headache on the right side, feels like my ears pulse sometimes, achiness all in neck. Sides of my jaw sometimes ache too.
