Dog sneezing with runny nose

Common Questions and Answers about Dog sneezing with runny nose

sneeze

We actually give ours the regular kind (non-drowsy of course). Works like a charm and stops the itchy skin, watery eyes, runny nose, eye boogers & sneezing. Late April through August is allergy season for our girls, so we stock up on Benadryl big time during those months!
Your runny nose and fever could be a sign of pregnancy??? Paracetamol or panadol is harmless and my doctor has recommended it if pregnant, but not aspirin.
My dog has been excessively sneezing for over a year now. She has had no respiratory problems until around then, and has been to the vet multiple times since. She is always sneezy with watery eyes and a runny nose and very occasionally coughs up mucus. She also has a problem with "reverse sneezing". We've tried giving her small doses of benadryl and some human allergy medication, but nothing provides long term relief for her.
My Jack Russell, Eddie has had a snotty, not runny, nose for nearly 3 years following a bout of bronchitis. This is both nostrils equally. Thick, ranging from green to clear. Sneezing snot, reverse sneezing and obvious post-nasal drip due to the hocking and gagging and lots of other unpleasant trying to breathe noises that keep everyone up all night. We have been to three veterinarians. After suggestions of "only" $1800.00 for a rhinoscopy and an unnecessary dental.
the sneezing is just part of it. along with the runny nose. i don't know why. i went thru that about a week ago. it is one of the shortest lived symptoms of withdrawal. i have been off hydros since the 11th, and it is much better now. hang in there.
Will the hydroxycine help to clear or dry-up some of the excess fluid she's trying to clear out of her nose and throat,(knowing of course that some of the fluid is blood) or is there something else that will help with that? Benadryl perhaps? I don't know what I'm dealing with yet, but if I can treat some her of symptoms maybe she'll feel better. She's miserable. So am I. I'd be so grateful for any thoughts or assistance you could provide. Thank you.
My mommy guess (which is the best guess - so go with your gut all the time) dont hold her nose. Infants breath through their nose so that will not be good for her to feel that way. I gave meds before by putting her nipple in her mouth and when she starting sucking I would shoot the liquid in there. She woudl suck it right down. Or if you have the little squeezer just put it in the corner of her mouth and squirt a little at a time but dont hold her nose.
So i have the common cold, sneezing, runny nose, itching throat, and coughing up mucus.... My dog sleeps with me every night, n i share most of my food with her, i just wonder if she will catch my cold??
I don't have any trouble with sneezing, runny nose or sore throat. Is there any way they can stay in the house and get my symptoms under control? What steps can I take to keep them in the house? Also would Alegra help with my rash and itching or is that just for sneezing, stuffy nose and stuff like that?
a high-pitched whistling sound produced during breathing out -Rapid breathing with a rate of over 40 breaths/minute -Tight breathing(your child has to push the air out) -Coughing, often with very sticky mucus -Onset of lung symptoms often preceded by fever and a runny nose -An average of 6 months, always less than 2 years -Symptoms similar to asthma Cause The wheezing is caused by a narrowing of the smallest airways in the lung (bronchioles).
I have the same symptoms as many of your with a little swelling and sore tender to the bridge of my nose... I'm going to get it out today and report back with findings...started with sneezing a few days back... headache.. fluish feelings.. could be sinusitis... I'll let you know when I get back.. going to get some pro advice on this at 4:30 pst.
How dare you say the "A" word!!! I am sooo miserable! Coughing, runny nose (when it's not stuffy), super sore throat, waaay too much sneezing, and my chest is achey. I'm taking a tylenol for my throat pain along with those Luden's cough drops (that probably aren't even really working) and also LOTS of OJ and a vitamin C drop a day. My throat hurts alot less today that it has but everything else is still just as bad. Ughhhh!
Dust mites feed on dead human skin scales and inhaling their waste products can trigger a runny nose and sneezing. Waste products of cockroaches can also cause nasal allergies to flare. In case you need any more information, then pls post us.
Chronic mouth breathing can not only affect your quality of life, but your life, period. As an ear, nose and throat specialist with years of experience helping people breathe better through their noses, I have seen hundreds of people have dramatically improved lives. One of the most important reasons to breathe through your nose is because of a gas called nitric oxide that's made by your nose and sinus mucous membranes.
If she had been hit with a faceful of mace or pepper spray, she would have been in obvious distress. You'd see swollen, watery eyes and lots of sneezing and a very runny nose. You need to speak with your vet about this. There could be something like a cyst or tumor putting pressure on the optic nerves. Obviously something happened, and you need a pro to examine your dog.
Non-chelated minerals are usually associated with lower quality dog foods. And lastly, this Beneful dog food product contains menadione… a controversial form of vitamin K linked to liver toxicity, allergies and the abnormal break-down of red blood cells.
Now I feel a particular place in my nose that is cold/wet and is runny with clear mucus discharge to the back of my throat. When I flew on an airplane that made me feel better, interesting how that worked. I had a tube in my ear, it worked for nine months and the infection come back again. I then had the tube changed, didn’t help. This is a terrible disease that interferes with the quality of my life. It affects my physical activity, my job, family, etc.
She loves animals, but her reaction includes runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, and eyes swelling shut. Is it safe to have an outside dog? I have two other children that are begging for another pet. I've heard recently of brain inflammation due to allergies and it really scares me to allow her around any animal. Thanks for any help or info you can give.
The following days my head became cloudy and then i got little sand like bumps on the roof of my mouth (happened today) I looked in my mouth my uval looked red and back of throat inflamed with looked like a drip. Started feeling like a head cold minus the sneezing and runny nose and cough. I know I just stated a lot, but this has been my life for the past month. The fatigue and melaise (feeling off Ill as I felt my body being attacked badly).
The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after. I notice if I catch it early (which means I carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc. All different specialists seem to have a different prognosis and the recommended pills over the years have not really done any good.
My dog has had severe nasal allergies since May. She has had congestion, runny nose, sneezing, wheezing, and what sounds phlegm in her throat. The vet has prescribed an antihistamine and a steroid when necessary. The antihistamine does not seem to be working anymore and we don't like to give the steroid unless necessary. Can you tell me what other options are available?
Went through sweats, and chills runny nose, sneezing, THE FLIPPIN RUNs, Stomach Cramping muscles screaming....you all know the drill. Today I'm feeling sad... I haven't been out of the house since Xmas Day...so I decided I was going to face the world as a drug free individual. Physically, I'm not feeling so bad and of course, being new to this withdrawal thing, I am analyzing every fiber of my being at every given moment. I'm digressing here.... I get in the car...
I was really going through it with my husband and I started buying them everyday to deal with my emotional problems that I was having. They made me feel great, and not so emotional about the fact that this man was treating me SO BAD. Ever since then, I'm addicted. Now I finally go rid of the loser, and I have another loser to deal with. This addiction. I decided last night that I was going to quit today. Unfortunately, the withdrawal was unbearable.
I have been experiencing difficulty in breathing through the nose since 2008. The last time I had this problem was from 1993-1997. I am allergic to dogs, & the nasal congestion was resolved only after I underwent inferior turbinectomy in Apr 1997. (After the procedure, I began bleeding non-stop from my eyes while on the recovery table, & the surgeon removed some of the nasal packing -- he said I am "prone to bleeding". Post-surgery, I stayed 5 days in the hospital.
Plus, it's hard to call something 'allergies' when there isn't a huge component of allergic-type symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itching). How old is your daughter? For young kids, this could be teething pain. She could have bad acid reflux. There could be something else going on too. My advice would be to see a different doctor (any Pediatric ENT specialists in your area?) and get another exam/opinion.
My hair has started a second round of thinning and the new hair that's coming through from the first round is now long enough to tickle my face, sooooooo irritating! Have started experimenting with scarves, even tho they really don't suit me. Temperature is a little raised today, my cough is a little worse and still feeling dehydrated despite upping my water intake. Will try again to drink a minimum of 3 litres, and am trying to drink 650 mls as soon as I wake up to get things flowing.
My allergies to dogs cause ichy skin, runny nose and constant sneezing within 10 minutes of being in close contact with them. I was wondering if Zyrtec would significantly help to relieve these symptoms. Have other people had success with it? What are the common side effects of Zyrtec? The current medications I am taking are Zoloft and Trazodone, would it be ok to take Zyrtec with these 2 prescription drugs? Thank you for your information.
I think this would be the perfect drug for me to use to finally get off of these pills and take my life back! Used in conjuction of course with other treatments like N.A. etc. I keep hearing here and on the web about "suboxone." Is this a drug like that? I have an appt with my doc on monday to confess everything to him; I am pretty sure he already knows.
