Avatar f tn I found a stray kitten and I have noticed he is very playful eats and drinks normally but he seems to be sneezing quite often, watery eyes and nose (the water is not green or anything its just clear) can I go to a petstore and get him something for the sneezing,is that a cold?
Avatar f tn My neice and I found a kitten a year ago and when we found him he had matter in his eye's and had a cough and was also very under weight ! We took him to my mother because she has other cats outside and he took up really good with them so she keep him ! We named him Boots ! He never leaves the yard and eats alot dry cat food that my sister feeds him and all the others cats !
1101325 tn?1321253073 Still is a good idea to contain your kitten until the sneezing has stopped. Make sure the kitten is eating and drinking well (sometimes when their nose is plugged they can't smell the food and stop eating). Lysine supplements will also help. Hope your kitten feels better soon!! PS I use to work at a shelter so I've been through this with numerous different cats and customers that come through the pet store I work at now.
3170462 tn?1344717552 Three years ago, my husband and I adopted two cats. They're brothers, Alvin and Simon, and were a year old when we got them. Before they came to our home, they lived with a friend who runs a Second Chance operation from her home. She found them as kittens (mum was killed by a possum) and weaned them. Both cats were well treated. When we first took them, our friend mentioned that Alvin had started sneezing. We didn't think anything of it. Cats sneeze.
Avatar f tn When there is heavy discharge, the best treatment is antibiotics, like Clavamox would be one. It could be they have feline herpesvirus or feline calicivirus. Feline chlamydia, a bacterial infection, can also result in upper respiratory tract infections. I am going through that with my own cats, sneezing being the only symptom. Clavamox works well at killing the bacteria that causes this type of URI.
1232362 tn?1333135406 My cats have upper respiratory infections (being spread amongst themselves by violent sneezing despite my best efforts) and I'm wondering if I can pick this up from them. I have asthma and am prone to these infections myself and have had both walking and regular pneumonia a few times. I'm taking all the regular precautions: washing my hands, etc.
Avatar f tn My 7 year old Female cat has been sneezing on and off for 2 weeks, and has had one watery eye for two days. She is currently on clavamox. There are no other symptoms. She eats and plays normally and is up to date on all vaccines. The vet did a complete blood work and only found the cats white blood cell count to be slightly elevated and her lungs sound clear. She displays no other symptoms. What could this be?
152660 tn?1291755571 Herpes if very common and it will bring repeated colds, watering eyes, runny nose, and sneezing. It seems to be brought on by excess stress, and will hang around for a few weeks. This is something cats can handle unless there is yellow discharge from eyes or nose, then they will need to see the vet since it has turned from a viral to a bacterial infection which needs antibiotics.
17712281 tn?1459363808 Quick query. My cat has developed some slightly raised black stuff underneath his nose. Can't seem to find anything close to it online. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts of what it could be? It just started appearing one day about a week ago and has increased in size since then. Picture attached.
Avatar n tn My Border Collie used to suffer terribly from sneezing and snorting resulting in the bleeding nose - the walls sometimes resembled the scene of a mass murder. We thought it was due to allergies - mainly grass - but the vet said that dogs did not have allergies and booked him in to have a camera up his nose - this was after he gave us tablets for everything going. The camera showed an infection and the nose was rinsed through, anti biotics given etc.
Avatar f tn Im 10 weeks and sneezing like crazy lol
Avatar n tn Upper respiratory infection is the reason your kittens are not healthy. At so young an age, they need to be cared for constantly. That means the vet, food and the time you take to care for them. It does not sound like you have the resources for much if any of this. My best suggestion is that you re-home them with someone who has the time and money to raise them.
Avatar f tn They have many names for it, but lots of women report having sneezing, stuffy nose, etc symptoms. All the extra blood can swell your sinuses and make you sneeze! Sneezing constantly has been my only prego symptom, thankfully, but yes it is kind of crazy. My office says I'm allergic to work now. Ha!
1499174 tn?1327231194 my nose hasnt itched yet. im 4 weeks 3 days. ive just been sneezing ALOT for the past couple days lol and i mean alot!
Avatar f tn Omg. I'm 23.5 weeks and I sneeze all day everyday! From what I'm told iy doesn't stop until the baby is born. I actually just read your post to my boyfriend and we had to laugh. I'm sorry it's no fun! My doctor told me I could take medicine for it and I took it for a few days and it didn't do anything so I stopped taking it. I guess since your nose is so much more sensitive you are prone to super allergies even if you've never had allergies before!
Avatar f tn This was never happend to me before, when I sneezed a mucus with blood and when I search it in google, others said that if you sneezed a mucus with blood, you must stop blowing your nose. Is it true?
Avatar f tn t realize it caused sneezing too! Was working outside the other day and kept sneezing so hard my knit cap would fall off!
Avatar n tn Out orange 4 yr old tabby has black spots in his mouth and now on his nose. He isnt showing any signs that it bothers him, but should i be concerned?
Avatar n tn You need to give him some vasoline-put some on his nose for him to lick off-you need to lube up his digestive tract so that he can vomit (I Know eww) or pass it in his stool. If you have any hairball gel that will also work. Feed him some wet food-that will help lube up his tract so that he can pass the grass. Get rid of all the Easter grass in the house!!! Its very toxic and dangerous to kitties. Monitor him to make sure he is pooping and you will see the grass in it and the same if he vomits.
609540 tn?1257316841 When I wake and I start to sneeze, the whole day I will sneeze and my nose is very itchy and my eyes become red and watery.Sometimes I don't know why I sneeze, but sometimes when there is a dust I sneeze a lot, so thus this means that iam allergy with the dust?
Avatar f tn It did ease off but not till about 20wks or a bit after for me. I still have a very sensitive nose but not sneezing as much. Im now 25wks. How far along are you??
645800 tn?1466860955 I've been having a problem with sneezing for quite a while now. I'll have fits where I'll constantly sneeze for 15 - 20 minutes at a time. The sneezing fits happen for no apparent reason and throughout the year and almost daily. Nothing that I have tried seems to help at all. My doctors have also tried various things to help with this (Nasal sprays, allergy medications, etc.).
1356258 tn?1277664250 The kittens are very energetic, have gained weight (mostly in the belly) and are always playing (sometimes very roughly). They tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, were wormed, received feline distemper shot and Revolution (for fleas and ear mites). Today I noticed a bump or growth on the nose of one of the kittens.
Avatar f tn Is it bad to plug your nose when you sneeze while pregnant becuase I stoped my sneeze and I cramped up does that affect the baby?
Avatar f tn I usually have the reaction to grab my stomach instead of covering my nose. I guess it's good I'm not in public that much.
Avatar f tn It will be our third. Not I can not stop sneezing. I mean I have sneezed at least 2 billions times today. Now my nose is very running and stuffy.
Avatar f tn I am sorry to hear that your cat is so uncomfortable--I worry with the spreading lesions that her problem is not just feline acne, but potentially something infectious (ringworm, or feline demodex), auto-immune (feline pemphigus), or allergic (food allergy). I recommend having your veterinarian perform skin scrapings for parasites and a fungal culture for ringworm. If no infectious organisms are found, then consider a hypoallergenic diet trial for possible food allergy (ie.
