I would be more curious to find out why only one leg is swelling. Norvasc should affect only one leg. I would want to rule out a vascular problem with that leg before it gets worse.

Diovan can rarely cause muscle breakdown and associated muscle pain and cramps and it is advised to consult your doctor to rule out the possibility as a cause. Diovan also causes increased level of potassium. Both increased and decreased levels of potassium have been linked to muscle weakness. Also, though leg pain can be caused by depletion of potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium etc.

Chest pain is not a known side-effect of diovan/hctz. Given the fact that he had a recent bypass I would urge you to take him to the ER ASAP.

When I get up in the morning, I am bloated pretty much all day when I stand up or walk. I have also noticed internal tremors in my right leg when standing or sitting, they have even come on up to my right arm. At night when I lay down to sleep, my body starts to get these weird strong spasms up my right side to the point that I have to get up and move around until they disappear.

I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for about 2 years now. I started taking Diovan 40 mg about 3 years ago, but my doctor thought it wasn't working so he increased it to 160 mg. After a while, I started feeling dizzy or light headed and We decided to cut down diovan to 80 mg. the dizziness went away for a few monts then it came back and was getting worse. I made a big mistake of stopping the Diovan all together.

I have a @uestion please : After 6years on Toprol xl and Diovan , my Doctor switched me to another medication - verapamill and maxide - iv taken these before and had problems with them both !! fact is the verapamill ccb caused palpatations. and I was put on a beta blocker from that point on.. as to stop the palps and control the b.p. / the Toprol xl and diovan both lowered b.p well and stopped the palps for me.. but iv been living life in pain and suffering for 6years now..

I was slowly weened off Toprol xl and Diovan - about 8 months ago - and put on ccb -verapamil and dieretic maxzide iv been on them for about 4 months - and have been having problems, such as ankles swelling. and closeing throat when eatting! as well bloating belly conditions. over the past month iv noticed my face is always red in color. and my left eye has been twitching off and on.. I seem to dehydrate rapid and cant hydrate fast enough - even when I cutt down on the dieretic med.

I am 73 and take Warfarin for atrial fibrillation. I also had a hip fracture nine months ago. I also take a blood pressure medication, Diovan, and Metopropolol 25 mg. Would any of these drugs cause the elevation in liver enzymes?

ve lost 12 pounds and my bp has dropped from 148/98 to 135/88. I am also taking Diovan though hope to be off it as I continue to lose weight. (2) I don't smoke and rarely drink. (3) I did have a stress test a year or two ago that turned up nothing significant. Any further testing I should consider? I'm taking Lovaza for my triglyceride, zoror for my cholesterol and diovan for my maintenance. Do you know of any sickness related to this symptom?

ve had some pain in my upper left and right chest area at different times and not lasting long. The pain is not bad and it doesn't last long and it is usually accompanied with belching or gas. I also have a history of asthma too. Any idea of what might be causing this pain since initial test seem to rule out cardiac problems. No one in my family has a history of cardiac problems either.

? . I have high blood pressure. I was taking diovan 320 and dilitiazem 360 & metoprolol 100mg. With this my blood pressure averaged 130-140 over 80-90. Now all of a sudden my blood pressure was down to 85-90/50 with a pulse of 50'ish, i was dizzy and felt weak. I dropped my diovan to 160 and dilitiazem to 120, but my pressure is still running about 95/55 w/a 60 pulse. I feel my blood pulsing? thru my body, and am sweaty. Whats up???

8 I have high bloodpressure and have been on Diovan for 2 months . But My Dr. is giving me Toprol and Zocor too while I wait to see the ENDO . I am kinda scared to take all these meds along with what the Endo is gonna give me. Anyone with hyperthyroidism taking any of these meds and do they have bad side effects?

I have some kind of nerve and muscle problem for just over a year, that has worsened in the last 6 weeks. It began with disruptive muscle tiredness and cramping, only in my legs at first, the right leg being the worst. It has progressed to constant never ending muscle twitching and rippling in my legs, feet, arms, and occasionally in my abdominal and rib muscles. I now have severe cramps after a very vigorous episodes of these twitches and rippling areas.
