Common Questions and Answers about Diflucan for athletes foot

diflucan

) pain -ringworm -athletes foot -shingles (at 12 years old!) I tested negative for HIV about a month ago after possible exposures 6-9 months ago. I was so excited about the results I forgot to ask any questions like what was my cd4 count, etc. Now Im finding it hard to believe they actually ran the tests! (It was a clinic, and they hardly took me seriously.) now I have oral thrush which I think is very uncommon for people my age unless u have AIDS or cancer. I am 22.
I am assuming you must have athletes foot? and that is why yoiu mention the toe? I would think you had a yeast infection on ur penis.... from your wife??? not because occationally your tool box stretches all way to your toe? (sarcasticlly) I hope that doesn't get me in trouble? but I think maybe you should see a doctor, perhaps the one your wife went to, for some yeast medication, like diflucan? and maybe get a std check while there for peace of mind?
I agree with Sunny911, it sounds like a fungal infection. Could be as simple as athletes foot, or it could be an infection in your toe nail beds. There are herbal remedies for fungus which can be found online. Have you tried soaking your feet in epsom salt?
It can grow on your hand. You can try an OTC athlete's foot cream, or get an Rx for diflucan if you think that's what it is. Sometimes you have to be persistent with your Dr. to get results. Sad but true.
When I was about 19, I had horrible athletes foot on just one foot. It lasted for two years, never responded to treatment, then suddenly disappeared. In my 20s, I had vitiligo (white patches on back). This was treated with lamisil and resolved quickly. I have always had a predisposition for vaginal yeast infections, though after childbirth this is much better. (Avoiding coffee and sugar helps). About 10 years ago, i developed the first ringworm on my body (hip).
My pediatrician prescribes Lotriman ointment(over the counter in the powder and medications area of a place like Kmart or Walmart) It can be used for jock itch or athletes foot because yeast is a type of fungus. It ususally clears it up after 2-3 uses. Go to the Pharmacy and buy Resinol it helps keep moisture out and drys up the irritation. You will spend 10.00 on all of this. and the products will last forever.
Let me just say first - You're Welcome. I'm happy that my answers/suggestions/advice has been of some relief or help to you. Second, go to another Dr. Tell Him/Her that you are having a recurring yeast infection which continues to get worse. Tell that Dr. that you want your boyfriend treated as well because you feel it's possible that he is just passing the infection back to you over and over again. Tell the Dr.
I went to my doctor who prescribed me 100 mg of Diflucan for 7 days and gave me a prescription anti fungal cream which seems to be working on the groin skin fold problem. I applied this cream for three days to my scrotum and realized that the problem on my scrotum may not be fungal at all. Alittle back ground on myself in May of this year I did something completely out of character and had a drunken fling with someone I did not know.
i used monistat (with prescription)and it takes a while to cure it,for me about 4-5 days. but i have to wear loose pants for the meantime, because if you wear tight pants, it doesnt not get better,it help. i know not much help, but i hope you feel better.sometimes it really takes time to cure it.
If it is a fungus, it would respond to antifungal creams, the kind sold for athlete's foot, or for vaginal yeast infections such as Vagisil.
Doc has also given me some Double Base cream that will act as a barrier for when I wash up and shower. I need a cure very badly for the itching - I seem to wake up in the morning vigurously scratching my inflamed hands. I hope this doesnt happen on my wedding day - the ring wont fit!!!!!!!!!!!noooooooooo! Help If you have the same problem, I DO ALREADY PUT ICE CUBES IN A TEA TOWEL AND HOLD THAT FOR A WHILE, BUT CANT ALWAYS DO THAT IF IM OUT!
She had an ear infection for 2 weeks had oral, ear and injectable antibiotics and her ear drum ruptured 3 times and then she got a fungal infection. They have painted it and tried lotrim drops which are used for athletes foot. Well it cleared up for 1 day and the dr. said stop all treatments and now it is back and she has a perforated(hole) in her eardrum. I am at my wits end. She has had an infection in her ear for 4 weeks now and she is only 3 yrs old.
I have tried lots of things to try and rlieve the discomfort and heal- i have tried canisten cream, hydrocrortisone cream, anusol- the best thing so far has been athletes foot powder (strange i know) used after showers on the area like talc- seems to dry the cuts up quickly and helps healing. hope this helps.
H-E-L-P!!! I've had this uncontrollable itch on my outer labia's for the past 7 years. Everyday I itch, I feel like a freak because I am always scratching (not in public). My labia gets sore from the scratching and I break skin often from scratching. I have tried everthing, but it doesn't go away. I know it's not an STD because I went to the doctor's and have been tested. However they haven't helped me none.
The taste only got worse. Saw an ENT in June who put me on Diflucan, for thrush/fungal infection. I was on it for 20 days and in about 10 days, the smell was GONE! However, he said I had a deflated sinus with infection and said he felt the rotting taste was coming from there, plus I have not been able to blow my nose, it goes backwards. I had surgery August 12, a balloon procedure to open up my sinus, had a lot of infection/pus cleaned out, and also had my septum straightened.
I have been having the same problem off and on for a long time and currently for the past 2 weeks. I do not have any bumps under or on the palm but the center of my palm itches all the time. You would think that the doctors would be able to determine what this is. When it gets really bad I take Benadryl and that seems to calm it down a bit but I do not have any know allergies. I hope someone finds out soon.
i was in the army for 4 year and right out of basic i thought i had athletes foot but ive had it for 4 years and did everything i could for it and it wont go away. 2 months ago i started to notice the web of my fingers start to itch and peel too and now my eyelids are peeling, red, and sometimes itch and its covered my whole eyelid and started to spread around my tear duct.
Try 1% clotrimazole cream (athletes foot/jock itch), over the counter. If your very red and inflamed use 1% cortisone cream, over the counter, until redness is gone, continue with clotrimazone. Prescription Lotrisone is too strong, not to be used on your face. Cut the sugar. Mae sure you're not iron-deficient. Buy good probiotics, ESPECIALLY if you'r taking or have taken antibiotics, or eat tons of FRESH, not canned, sauerkraut.
Well, right there on the spot he said I had a horrible yeast infection and wrote me a prescription for 2 Diflucan pills. I was to take one (they stay in your system for 3 days) and then repeat 3 days later. He also gave me a prescription for a topical cream. I took the first pill, and applied the cream. The itching became 100 times worse. I kept putting on the cream until the itching became unbearable (2 days), and then I took my second Diflucan pill after three days.
I had put up with the problem for 11 months, gradually becoming worse. And now after 2 months of it having gone away, it has returned again. This time it happened much quicker, starting on the right lower eye, then moved to the left. The right under eye is very red, sore and dry. It feels so rough to touch. I have not worn make up today and have only applied vaseline and aqeous cream. I haven't changed any toileteries or make up in the last 2 months. I am not sure what it could be?

Also prescribed Doxycycline(capsules). These both are for fighting bacteria. Have worked for me thus far. Itching has stoped since taking the meds.Legs and feet have subsided, with a little itching here and there. But I am also still on the meds. Hope this will help. It mite be a form of bacteria that some of you are dealing with. Rather than an alergic reaction to water as I was told by one dematologist.
also, the first endo started me on thyroid before checking my adrenals--i've learned this is not the right way to do it---no wonder i never felt any better with anything she did---she probably overwhelmed my adrenals and they never had a chance to catch up. i am exhausted--only good for a couple of hours a day, my joints hurt, my muscles hurt i cry every day--basically i am a mess!! i'm so cold, too half the time and my feet feel like ice when i take my socks and slippers off.
here i go....so for the last 6 months i have had itchy eyelids...my eye doctor told me it was due to mild allergies and prescribed eye drops which didnt help in the least so i turned to over the counter allergy medicine which hasn't helped either (so i dont think it's allergies) and in the last 3 weeks not only are my eyelids itchy but when i wake up in the morning my upper eye lids are bright red and swelled up so bad that its embarassing!!!!
natures way, 480 mg 2. clotrimazole, generic antifungal from cvs, same as lotrimine af for jock itch and athletes foot, any will work 3. 3 advil twice a day for the first 2 or 3 days, but take as long as u want if it helps? i'm not a dr...
For around three or four years now, I have been suffering from headaches some two hours or more after the consumption of any amount of alcohol - although typically as few as two drinks upwards of any kind of alcohol. The headaches come on slowly but persistently and follow a line from the left side of my neck across the top of my head to just above the left eyebrow. They are not sharp pains but more of a constant 'throb' and can go on for hours.
Its been like this for a little more than a month. A few years back, it was like this for nearly 2 years but went away for about 5 months the later part of 2007. Both reactions were right after I had sexual relations with a partner. The coincidence led me to believe std related but negative tests say otherwise. I myself feel lost and not sure what to do because from what ive been reading, it seems like the creams/moisturizers and medications do not really help so much.
