I bought the oregano oil and used it for about a week - didn't swallow, but put on my wrists as directions said you could take through the skin. Of course I saw no difference in a week and didn't continue..so after I see the ENT I may start that back again. I have always eaten a lot of junk (candy, pies, cake) so I'm sure I'm feeding it well if that has anything to do with it.
I pretty much have given up, my dizzies are better because of diretics, flonase, and meclazine, but the distorted sounds, ringing fullness headaches.etc.. are all still there. I wish there was a surgery, but Doc's say won't help. I can't hear regular out of 1 ear anyway, so I'd rather not hear at all. other ear has ringing sometimes, and fullness always, I'm sure it is just a matter of time until it is full blown too. Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated.
I was so annoyed when he said there is no proven connection between allergies and dizziness. He's now ordered an MRI and additional balance tests and has started talking about ruling out tumors, etc. Thanks for sharing your stories. It always surprises me how many non-allergist MD's don't understand how allergies can affect the body.
I asked my doctor about the relationship of my ear face and neck pain and he says he's never heard of the relationship between bad teeth and all these symptoms. I have extremely painful teeth and am ready to have them all pulled. Can't afford it but willing to go through it some how. sent me for a CT of sinus and it was clear. Sent me to an ENT - gave me nasal steroid and antihistamines. No help. Been doing saline irrigation, vitamins. Am now on Prednisone (steroid pills) for 6 days. After 1 and 1/2 days feel better and pressure is leaving but scared because I know after this 6 days I'll be back to where I was and I'm extremely run down and need to rebuild to fight whatever this is. Scheduled for allergy testing the end of the month.

I have been dizzy now for almost 2 months, and my doctor has given me nasonex and allegra. I haven't started the allegra yet, but my symptoms are getting worse. The dizzyness is almost all of the time, and especially bad if I move to quick and from sitting to standing. Headaches are getting worse, hard to get rid of. I have had blood work and an exam, and all the Dr. noticed was that my nasal passages were extremely dry. Everything else has checked out great.
I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. A study published in the Journal of Family Practice in February of 2005 showed that there was no difference between the patients who received an antibiotic and the patients who received a placebo. That’s just one study, but it does cast doubt on the effectiveness of short-term antibiotic treatment for mild acute sinusitis. Taking antibiotics also increases the chance that you can develop a drug-resistance strain of bacteria living in your upper respiratory tract.

He told me that, rather than getting the expensive Rx for the guafenesin, use the Robitussin Guafenesin. So, between THAT and the flonase, I've been keeping that blocked feeling and the dizziness at bay. I ALWAYS have the Robitussin G. on hand, at least 2 bottles of it I've gotten away from the flonase. But, I know what you all mean re. the dizziness and 'squishy' feeling near your ears.
I've seen my MD and an ENT and they suggested flonase (supposedly they believed my condition to be allergy related), but this did NOT work either! Is anyone aware of any medication that can help? I've read the "vinegar" treatment in some of the comments and I will definitely try that (why not, it can't be any worse than CONSTANTLY clearing my throat!!).
2nd doctor did sinus x-rays and saw fluid in my right maxillary sinus and put me on flonase, still had the headache and starting having vision problems with both eyes. Once I completed the round, the blurred vision, and head pressure came back.. I have been using Alavert D12 and flonase for past week. Just recently, have had vision issues again and dizziness. I cannot even ride in the car, I get like- car sick, too much motion. Then I feel panicky, because my head is not clear and the ENT office states that dizziness is normal. I am now starting to feel pressure on left ear, and I just do not want to have surgery.
Have you not had treatment for your Sinusis other than flonase? Is there no operation? and do you get the popping and crackling noices too? I thought maybe the adenoids were blocking this, or even the the muscle behind the eustation tube was not working properly, because sometimes when i yourn, my right ear feels with air and i cannot get rid of this (sounds like an ocean). Im currently on Flixonase to treat any allergic allergies that may be causing all this, however, does not seem to work.
I agree that the only (and best) thing we can do is to continue to point out the inconsistencies between SOC and newer treatments on the horizon that have some medical basis in fact, and products that are not backed by research and are just a way for cyber conmen to line their pockets. mickythenose - I've seen some research that is a little similar to the physics article, and it will be interesting to see how all of this new research pans out.
Thanks to Duchess47, Wepst and JDanMan for your comments and suggestions. I will seriously look into all of your suggestions and hope that it's just some seasonal allergy thing. Thanks again.
So I went to see ANOTHER ENT last week and he gave me an Rx for nasonex and Cipro. To this day nothing has changed. I'm either fine one day and feeling that I may finally be over this, and then I'm sadly disappointed the next day when it's back. The only thing that seems to really help at this point is a steaming pot of hot water which I add a little cider vinigar to and hold a towel over my head, breathing the steam for about 10/15 minutes.
He said that I needed to stay on a drug like prilosec for as long as 6 months, and take it twice a day 1/2 hour before breakfast and dinner. I have been on it for almost a month now, and cannot yet see a big difference. Will let you know how things progress. good luck!

This has been happening on and off for over a year now. i have asthma, and am on singular, advair, and flonase. I have had all the cardio tests run...negative, i have had tons of pulmonary test done...all normal. Except one test, a VO2 test that showed that there was an abnormality between the respiratory and cardiac functions.
Then it still wouldn't go away, I then went to the walk-in again....they said I had Bronchitis and gave me Doxycycline and Prednisone. It still did not work, I went to my regular doc and had a chest x-ray and they told me I had Pneumonia and he gave me Levaquin. In the meantime I took some Asthma tests (per my doctor's suggestion) and found out I have Asthma. I was given Pulmicort and MaxAir. My cough still wasn't going away and my tongue was extremely swollen.
Neem Oil is very, very STINKY!!!!!!!!!! Yuck. It kinda smells like garlic. The Dr. H eye balm has a nice fragrance so it cuts down of the stinky Neem smell. One more thing: I've started using Neem on my daughter that forever has that nasty, eczema rash in the folds of her elbows. Gone! No more elidel, no more cortersone! I highly recommend Neem. The only thing I need now is the money to fix my stretched out, thinned out eyelids which make me look 10 years older than I am.

I think you should try for maybe two days and see if you notice a difference and if not go right back to enjoying food as I do.
I've tried drinking soda, swallowing air, etc, and it just makes me feel uncomfortable but doesn't make me burp. Instead, my throat gurgles. The best way to describe the sound is like a stomach growling, only in the throat. It's incredibly embarrassing and I can't prevent it from happening. It tends to happen a lot after I drink juice or soda, but also sometimes after meals where I only drank water.
