Going into this we were under the impression that my insurance company covered IVF. When I called my insurance company they told me that I was covered. So we meet with the doctors to find out we are NOT covered. I have a $15,000 infertility maximum, but that only covers testing, not treatments, which is was IVF is coded as. My husband's insurance has no coverage at all. I do work in Illinois, where in Illinois, it's a state law to cover IVF. But my insurance is Blue Cross of Iowa.

I currently have no insurance. I live in Illinois now but plan on moving back to Michigan to be around my family. Is anybody familiar with where I should try and purchase insurance? confused about where to set up ob appointments and how to to start this journey. First time mom to be. 7weeks.

Illinois you have to call insurance and let then know ahead of time you are pregnant I'm still under my dads insurance so baby can't be covered by it had to get the little one seperate insurance

I have blue cross blue shield ppo of Illinois. Our insurance pays all but 15%. So, if I have an appointment for a follicle check or IUI, I pay 15% of that total out of pocket, and they pay the rest. I believe we have a 20,000 lifetime maximum, but right now we are only on IUI. IT says up to 4 attempts so I don't know if that's with the IUI or IVF or what.... hopfully I won't have to find out as my second IUI is tomorrow!!!

I need to know if ill lose my Medicaid moving from Illinois to Florida and what I can do to get insurance in Florida, if I can at all. Is my mom right that I cant move just because I'm on psych meds?

Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... There are 11 states in the US where it is mandated that insurance covers fertility treatments, Illinois being one of them. I don't know if its worth a move for anyone, but usually the mandate is 3 IVF cycles, could help a lot.

Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I have been accepted on to my husbands already existing Medicaid but i have not received my card yet and I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant. I really want to at least make my first pre natal appointment, But I'm not sure when exactly I will have my card and I'm afraid that I'll make the appointment but not have my card yet by the time the appointment comes.
