10506901 tn?1431350757 However due to the circumstance I highly doubt what happened caused a concussion. I had a migraine while training at a martial arts gym and when the migraine symptoms lasted for 3 weeks I was diagnosed with concussion. The reason I do not think it is a concussion was because the only thing that could have caused it was me falling forward and stopping myself with my arms and it sort of jolted my body.
Avatar n tn I do not have any sort of cognitive issues though. Could this be a concussion? I do get migraines, and this headache does feel a bit like a migraine, but I am worried because I did hit my head. Should I be concerned? I do not feel awful right now, other than the headache. Thanks!

Avatar f tn A little over two months ago I had a concussion without the loss of consciousness. Nothing showed up on a ct scan. Ever since my vision has worsened, I have had horrible headaches, and today experienced the worst headache. I was vomitting and could not see straight. I also had tingling in my arms, hands, and feet. I also feel a numbness in my face and a strong pain in my neck.

Avatar f tn Hello, When it rains, it pours. I'm 40, F, in good health, and this week, out of the blue, I have two severe headaches that are blindingly painful with extreme light sensitivity. Light is blurring my vision. No history of headaches other than tension headaches which are about 1/10th as painful as these, and they are truly infrequent. One came on after taking a very short (1/2 mile) hike. Both have put me in a dark room, wincing in pain, for days. The pain is just exploding.
17075101 tn?1453495395 I had a really bad headache wednesday evening and thought it was just due to the hangover but now its friday and I still have a headache. Its quite bad, yesterday it was more like a migraine and today its slightly better but still pretty bad. Why is this and is this normal.
Avatar f tn Symptoms of a concussion include memory loss, headaches or blurry vision, nausea, inability to stand or walk or having coordination and balance problems. There is an entity of post concussive syndrome where there is inability to think and headaches, changes in sleep patterns and personality etc. This needs to be evaluated clinically, CT/MRI scan brain needs to be done to rule out. Take care.

Avatar m tn Migraine is a hereditary disease, which means that there is a good possibility that your child either has migraine headaches or could at one point in his life develop migraine headaches. Both of my parents, as well as two of my grandparents (one on each side of the family) have migraine headaches, and I have migraine headaches too! My dad has them because his dad had them, and my mom has them because her mom had them, and I have them because my parents have them.
Avatar n tn My son has had a number of concussions and both he and my husband suffer occasional migranes. They both swear by excedrine migraine - and chocolate. I know it sounds funny... but it really does work. When they feel one coming on, they take a small bag of m&m's and the excedrine. The additional caffiene helps the headaches. The doctor told us that really was better than taking a narcotic for the pain. For some reason the narcotics can make them worse (especially concussion pain).
Avatar f tn I have them but that's due to a concussion I had a few months back. I hear they are common in pregnancy.
Avatar m tn and i notice like the day after i come on the headache goes away. But the headache will go on for like two or three days before my period. and i always forget that my period is close to coming. now it use to not do that and i assume it was because i was on the pills but i have been off the bill for like a year. and i also have really bad cramps and bleed really heavy. so i really dont know what to do.
Avatar f tn Decreased vision(mainly at night or in dimmer rooms), sensitivity to really bright lights and periodic blurriness. I also woke up one morning with an ocular migraine aura( went awat after 10 mins). I get pain in my eyes and above them as well. I also have had a headache daily for the last month. The headaches vary in severity and are typically on my forehead area and on one side of my head. I've been getting dizzy spells and nausea too.
Avatar f tn If it is on the 9-10 pain scale range, this warrants further evaluation by your attending physician. This could be due to primary headache such as migraine or tension headache. However, imaging studies may need to be done to help determine the underlying cause and to rule out possible secondary issues. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn This could be caused by a variety of factors, including a migraine aura, an eye muscle problem, or a problem with the blood vessels in your eyes. If your previous medical evaluations haven't found a cause, it would be best to consult with a neurologist for further evaluation, especially given your history of a concussion and post-concussive syndrome. It may also be helpful to keep a headache diary to track any patterns or triggers.
Avatar m tn If your headache happens whenever you have an activity, this could be due to exertion headaches which occur during or following physical exertion (running, jumping, or sexual intercourse) or passive exertion (sneezing, coughing, moving one's bowels, etc.). Majority of these are related to migraine and cluster headaches but it could also be due to organic diseases (aneurysms, tumors, or blood vessel malformation), which were ruled out.
Avatar n tn t know where to turn next, is it just a headache, or in 6 months will this thing be grown big enough to dx?

Avatar n tn Dental pain can come once in a while, and may be related to either hot or clod food or to sweet food. If all this is ruled out then it could be fibromyalgia flare or tension headache. Keep a headache log and see whether you are particularly stressed out on days prior to headache. Also, if symptoms come only at night, then it can also be due to some sleep disturbance. Discuss these possibilities with your doctor. Hope you are headache-free soon! Good Luck and take care!

Avatar n tn I'm 20 years old and I've been having a lot of problems with headaches lately. I've had migraines off and on since I was about 12 years old (always with auras), but lately they've gotten quite worse. My eyes are the main problem. I've noticed lately that my vision will get blurry and that I lose my periphial vision with regular headaches, too.
Avatar f tn I occasionally have minor headaches due to dehydration or emotional distress, but there is no correlation whatsoever to those headaches and the lights. Headache or no headache, the lights remain unaffected. I was prescribed topamax and sent on my way. The topamax did not reduce the lights at all, in fact, they may have even been increased in frequency.
20842587 tn?1533254778 ve tried numerous headache/migraine medications, physical therapy for migraines and concussions and had my eyes checked. My right temporal area can be sensitive to the touch at times and the pressure fluctuates in intensity (it can be uncomfortable to lay on that side of my head while sleeping). When the pressure is more intense I can feel the right temporal artery pulsating without touching it. The pressure sometimes spreads to my right eye. I also endure eye pain there as well.
Avatar m tn So, if there is any possibility that there could be any physical damage or lasting or temporary medical condition as a result of the events that led to the PTSD, I think it would be important to have these other health concerns addressed and/or looked into because sometimes headaches can be the result of another medical condition or physical damage (e.g.
