BTW - the person has a history of heart failure (30% squeeze of the heart today), renal cancer is in remission and had a few areas on the lung, of which most have been targeted via laser (today, only one is supposed to exist), diabetes, weakness of muscles and experiencing extreme fatigue (sleeping most of the day), issues with trying to get food down them on a consistent basis. my step son is supposed to take vyvanse and clonidine, but he has been out of vyvance for 3weeks now and seems fine taking only clonidine.

Thank u! I have been thru wd before but from percs and oxys. This time its subs and I've been in them for 4 and a half yrs. I'm trying to prepare myself for what's to come. I've got myself down to 1 mg and plan to go lower but I've heard horror stories when it comes to getting off subs. The worse part of wd for me is the anxiety and chills. My heart races and I get very nervous feeling. I've heard some say clonidine helps when going through wd.

t have good health insurance and a standard physician prescribes their psychiatric medications which is not advisable. I am assuming you are seeing a psychiatrist and as for Clonidine and Effexor interacting I have not heard of that one but you should ask them to look it up. They all have a PDR and more importantly I know my psychopharmocologist has a palm pilot where he can look up any medications and see how they interact and has access to information that only a physician would.

Did the clonidine slow your heart rate down? How well did it work for reducing your high BP?

The doctor told me to continue on the clonidine and we would taper down on that once I was on a stable dose of suboxone. He said there are no harmful interactions between the two. But whenever I take the clonidine it feels like it is kicking me into withdrawal again. severe agitation anxiety racing heart dizziness and double vision. Whats going on please?

I am new to this site and am on my third day of weaning off of vicodin, hycodan...the works. :) i am doing pretty well so far...except for the guilt to the people i have effected and the fiance i will be affecting as he goes through this with me. My first question is has the weaning off of drugs been effective for people? i am nervous as i have tried ct at least 7 times. second, my doctor prescribed two clonidine patches for me for any withdrawl symptoms. What do these do ?

problem is i was taking around six mgs of klonopin everyday for three months and i wanna stop....someone told me clonidine will work for the benzo withdraw? it doesnt seem to be.....anyone got any ideas???

My Patty was diagnosed with Heart Failure 10 days ago, he had been doing pretty good, not liking taking his meds but now he is NOT wanting to eat and when we make it liquid and squirt it down his throat, it has started coming back up.
