The manufacturer has by law to list all known side-effects on their product data sheets, even rare side-effects. Remember many people get through their treatment without suffering any major side-effects and hopefully this will be the case with you. So I would relax and forget it. If you worry about a decrease in libido, you'll definitely get a decrease in libido!

Hey I'm 20 and have been on citalopram for a year and a half, I have decided to come off it because of the fatigue it caused which is not good for student life generally, also the loss of interest in sex is not great either. I think I do need to be on antidepressants at the moment. But citalopram wasn't for me. I realise all antidepressants have side effects but I was wondering if any missed out the 2 I mentioned above.

Do you think it wise bringing a baby/ child into that environment? It's a hard call and one only you (?and your husband, partner, so) can make in consultation with your own doctor. Ok i have left messages to others about how i have handled treatment with little side effects but, that has changed i have had 11 pegagus shots 180mcg weekly and 1200 riba daily . My hair is dry and it is falling out, i am depressed and my doctor put me on citalopram 10mg, i am tired alot and very unmotivated, and have lost 11lbs because i dont feel like eating, everything that use to taste good taste like ****.

Hair loss is sometimes a side effect of taking beta blockers. Not sure if there's a way to stop that other than changing medications. You have normal sinus rhythm but it's fast? How fast? If it's consistently over 100, you should talk to your cardio about that. It's not normal or healthy. Your meds may need to be adjusted.

If this drug is having you gain any excess weight, and I think that because you know what the side effects of both Wellbutrin and Citalopram are, (weight loss right?) you are more than capable of eating right and exercising. I also kept my hair with Gemzar. But I do have to admit that it was a hard chemo for me. I was also on the 3 week on and 1 week off schedule. And my mother does not want to leave this medication because its the only one that works for her burning feet. Hi, I am on Citalopram for years as was mistakenly diagnosed with depression (i am bipolar 2). I wouldn't say Citalopram is additictive . I would say it is very gentle drug compare to others eg Effexor. However you can't stop taking it once as it will lead into side effects. It happened to me that after just three days of not having it I was very depressed, angry and bit of out of myself. I was on 20 mg. I am still on it but started to take mood stabilaser as well.

s merely the remnants of a cold. However, I am losing an insane amount of hair, above the average hair loss due to postpartum. Is this the combo of thyroid, meds and postpartum... I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. I have been reading the posts on here about post treatment side effects and I was wondering how many of you have had severe hair loss? I only treated for 24 weeks but had lots of problems throughout treatment. I am 2 and half months post tx. Anyhow my hair will grow for about 4 to 7 days max then it falls back out. What's stodgy food? Depression can cause loss of appetite. Can also make one eat more. Funny thing, depression. There are also side effects when you start medication, and it takes a while before the effects begin. Sometimes they affect appetite -- can make you want to eat everything that isn't tied down or nothing at all. Can go both ways. Are you in therapy as well?
