Afterward b/c 30 day fungal culture neg.,and pseudomonas found in left maxillary sinus, ENT changed diagnosis. treated w/Cipro, no other f/u for fungal. I told them 3 wks postop that green thick exudate had returned w/smell, but they declared me "cured". ID refused to do another culture b/c ENT said in notes that I looked great. I got 2nd opinion from another ENT week ago.

I have been struggling for years now. I was hopsitalized with pseudomonas pnemonia in 2000. Ever since then I've had chronic sinusitis. I have had two sinus surgeries. I found a good ENT in Anchorage that took cultures - it was pseudomonas again. Been on antibiotics, etc. He said that I have biofilms. Been flushing like crazy.

I'm sorry to trouble any of you with these concerns, however, I do not know where to turn and am running out of peace in mind. On July 7th 2012, I went to the section of the Bronx and received oral sex (unprotected) from a younger streetwalker. She used the condom at first but then took it off because of the discomfort it had on me (too tight). Absolutely reckless, I know and am sweating with my dear life right now.
It took the doctors 5 months to diagnose me with bacterial sinusitis and instead told me I was just getting the flu over aver again and not to worry I would be better soon. After finally getting the diagnosis I was sent to an ENT who looked up my nose gave me a spray steroid and decongestant and oral steroids and that I would be fine in a few days. My symptoms of fever, major fatigue, nausea, headache, sinus pain and pressure would just magically go away. They did not.
I went to the doctor and was given Cipro. The next several days I was basically bed-ridden with a constant fever that spiked to 102.6 F and was fevered round the clock. Around the 4th day I began to feel better and my temp. gradually was reduced. However, in the late afternoon and every afternoon since, my fever begins to climb again. By around 6:00 p.m. it is generally anywhere from 100.5 - 101.6 F.
Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.
Also, I am being treated with Cipro, which I just took a round of that for a UT about 2.5 months ago. Should I be repeating the same antibotic so soon, and will it be as effective if I do.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.
Do cipro cause vaginal discharge and oder and disconfort in my stomach and back and sluggishness?

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). So yes---In fact--since you brought it up--I have a new group called side effects of medications. Feel free to post your side effects there.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
Now I have a lot of post nasal draninge down my throat a bad cough and did the z pac again but not much better. Was told to take cipro one pill nad it flared up my intersitital cysitits so now he has called in doxycline. Not a big fan of it cause I read it will lfare up my GERD which is very bad right now.
My question to the dr was I don't have a fever, I don't have colored discharge it is either clear or white. Could this be viral and not bacteiral?

i have this some sort of colds for about 2 months now and now sometimes i feel weak and fatigue, i have this cold mucus that doesnt come out and i feel sometimes stumbling or out of balance, and some dizziness and nausea.. is this sinusitis infection or ear infection.i have no fever...
Do you still have any of these symptoms? Sounds like a bit of bronchitis after having a virus. It takes a couple of months to go away unless you get antibiotics. Could be sinusitis or could have been. It usually resolves on its own. Humidifier helps. Sounds like a bacteria not yeast on the tongue. It is normal to get a lot of this. You can just keep scraping it away. I get it several times a day.
Can sinusitis cause vision focus and vision being blurry? One eye is very senstive to light. Does drinking vinegar in water help fight infection. I have been on zertec d and antibotic.

I had a CT and was told I had sinusitis. I have been feeling sick for a few months. I really wonder if I have had it for a long time. I was given some strong antibiotics and a decongestant to take for several days. I started taking them on Thursday and still feel really sick. I don't know if it's still the sinusitis or the antibiotics. Also, I had anxiety really bad last night. I have had problems with it being bad before while taking antibiotics.
