Cipro side effects dizziness

Common Questions and Answers about Cipro side effects dizziness

cipro

Avatar m tn I had anxiety, panic attacks, fear that other weird symptoms might show up, mild nasal congestion, some difficulty breathing, depression, insomnia, nightmares, tiredness, rapid heart rate, chills, a bit of back pain, sweaty hands and feet but mostly on and off dizziness/vertigo. The urinary tract infection is gone, but the tip of the penis is a little bit swollen. Most of the effects are gone, but I still get the on and off dizziness/vertigo and sometimes I get the sweaty palms.
Avatar m tn Both Cipro and Levaquin are drugs of a class known as quinolones. Of the two Cipro has the least side effects. The sore muscles may last for weeks or months or you may feel better in a few days. With that class of drugs there are ocasional reports of permanent tendon damage. This does not mean they should not be used. It is a matter of risk and benefit.
Avatar f tn the ER doc gave me cipro. Wish I would have known then what I know now. Had bad side effects for over a year from it. My belief now is that most UTI's can be cleared up by taking cranberry pills, and flushing out your system with large amounts of fluids. Don't take a drug that is given out for people who have been exposed to anthrax... sigh. Unless you need a drug to stay alive don't take any because our bodies were not made to take them. My thoughts anyway.

Avatar n tn Hi, How are you? Common side effects of ciprofloxacin are stomach pain, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset and restlessness. Rarely it can cause skin sensitivity to sunlight, rash, breathing difficulty etc. Vaginal discharge with odour and back pain are the manifestations of UTI. Since how long are you using ciprofloxacin? Feel free to ask if you have any more doubts. Take care.
Avatar n tn Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody or tarry stools; burning, numbness, tingling, pain, or weakness of the arms, hands, legs, or feet; chest pain; dark urine or unusual change in amount of urine; fainting; fever, chills, or unusual cough; hallucinations; inability to move or bear weight on a joint or tendon area; irregular heartbeat; loss of consciousness; moderate to severe sunburn
Avatar n tn Dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, tiredness, constipation, diarrhea, stomach upset/gas, nausea, trouble sleeping or unusual dreams may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Avatar f tn Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. I'm on Celexa and this stuffy feeling(like you are coming down with a cold) seems to be sticking with me. The med is working well except for this uncomfortable feeling in and around my eyes.
443434 tn?1255891233 What other kinds of eye problems is it supposed to cause? I took a lot of Cipro, and have a lot of eye problems, but there is no evidence that the two are connected. How did your doctor connect them?Have you looked up the side effects on WEB MD or somewhere?
Avatar f tn Cipro has a lot of side effects. Have you looked them up? I am not saying come off it but what you are experiencing could be from that. It stays in your system long after you take it. Are you still taking pain meds? I can't remember if Cipro causes constipation but pain meds do for sure. Are you taking any stool softeners to help? Ginger or peppermint tea help a lot with bloating as well as a heating blanket. When you mean blocked do you mean constipated blocked?

The Dr said they can be tough on some people that was it nauseating , headaches, absolutely no alcohol ect. And what did you do to help cope with any side effects? It would help me to know what might possibly be around the corner for me so I can work thru it. Avatar f tn They never mentioned anything in the literature about the side effects after the testing. Most of what I read was about the nausea, headach, etc at about the 1 hour mark, which I got almost immediately. Should I still be having issues with fatigue, and nausea 24 hours plus later? I get the test results on Wednesday.
Avatar m tn I have taken Flomax for a week, and am very weary of the side effects. It effects my vision - I can feel it in my eyes. It dulls my brain, I can feel it in my head. It caused the ringing in my ears to get worse. I've had minor chest pain for a few days. All of these are on the list of side effects.

Avatar f tn yes, it is Trileptal. Side effects I have had recently are neutremia, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headache....seeing my psych doc next week. I am very disappointed that she did not catch this. I will slowly reducing my dose (I'm at 1800 mg now) in order to go off this drug, AND, I will never go back to this psych doc again.
Avatar m tn My experience is anecdotal, but significant. I cannot tolerate Levaquin at all, but take Cipro without any side effects. I know at least four other individuals with the same tolerance for Cipro.
Avatar n tn The reason for the change was because of severe side effects. Dizziness, tremors, jaw pain, loud ringing in ears, nausea were the main issues. Now being off the med for 13 days, and have been off of work since Feb. 3rd, I continue to have problems. I cannot drive or even ride in a vehicle without getting severe dizziness. This also happens when watching TV when fast movements cross the screen.
