I have been suffering from dermatographia for the last 10 months. I have been on prednisone and 6 different anti histamines that barely help. I've went to 3 immunologist and a dermatologist and everyone tells me there isnt much they can do to find the cause of the problem. They seemed to get worse everytime after prednisone was prescribed. I've been on an anti inflammatory diet, keto diet,candida diet, leaky gut diet, alkaline diet, detox (Green juice) diet and those didnt work either.

This whole vicious cycle is getting me down. I saw a dermatologist 5 days ago who has prescribed 30mg cetirizine each morning and 300mg ranitidine each night. So far so good. Apart from feeling a little thick headed in the mornings, no hives or swelling at all this week! Is this safe to take long term?

Have a sensitive stomach and get burning pains especially if food has chilly or is strong in acid. Ranitidine has helped but from time to time suffer missing hearbeats. Having given up the drug for a while things improved but stomach started to suffer again and thus the reason to re-start the drug.

Im 33 weeks and seem to have horrible allergies. I have children's allergy relief that I was wonder if its safe to take. Active ingredient is cetirizine hcl 5mg.

For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.

My allergist from Cleveland clinic here in Coral Spring FL prescribe me CETIRIZINE 10MG 3 tablets a day for a month and then bring it down to 2 a day. I began with the treatment on March 2021 as today July 27/2021 I can tell you that I'm feeling 85% better before was every single day going to hell, today I'm not completely free, but feel much much better. Try it. CETIRIZINE is the same as ZYRTEC, but less expensive if a Dr. prescribed it . Good luck.

I got itching when I just got 4 weeks pg, and my doc prescribed CETIRIZINE as well. My boy is now 15 month old, happy and healthy and I'm still taking it daily other wise I could not stand for the horrible itching.

ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?

I get hives and I take something that is similar to zyrtec for it. Cetirizine 10mg given to me by my VA (veteran affairs) doctor. It's safe. Get well soon. I know the feeling and it *****.

you could try looking up those drugs online and see what they say about hurting baby. i can tell you that buscopan is a muscle relaxant and that that shouldn't hurt your future baby. i have been on ranitidine, still have some i think. but i had heart palpitations with it. but i am really glad to hear its working for you. because of my experience with it i would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about it. but my main suggestion would be sort things out with your body first.

Now, two years later my gastritis symptoms have come back (heartburn and nausea), and I read somewhere that I can take omeprazole AND ranitidine on the same day (but not the same time) so I've been taking the 20 mg Omeprazole in the am before breakfast and a 75mg ranitidine in the pm before dinner, which has worked quiet well.

Avoid heavy meals and take frequent small ones. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so. I also noticed when taking TUMS that I only need to take less than one tablet for it to be effective (say about 500 mg /day. Occasionally 750mg). One question I have is would it be better to only take Tums instead - even if I need to use ~500mg each day?
