Avatar f tn I am not an expert but did check this out on a "drug interaction" site. There doenst show to be an interaction between these two medications but..........since ativan induces sleep and so does the Diphenhydramine portion in the Excedrin PM, the two together can compound (increase) the drowisness. Therefor I cant know if it is safe for you, sorry.

Avatar m tn She gave me hydroxicin 25mg before going to bed and half a dose (12,5mg) at evening. Also cetirizine 5mg during morning. It is itching me less than before but it is still very annoying and my hands dyshidrosis is still developing and painful. She doesn't know exactly the cause. If the "hives' improve, you are most likely allergic to oxycodone. Report these symptoms to your doctor, who will switch you to another opioid analgesic. It is dangerous to take medication that causes an allergic reaction.

Avatar n tn Medicines like cetirizine are used to treat nasal allergies. So if one has both, the surgery itself will not make the allergies go away. Therefore, medicines like cetirizine may be needed indefinitely if symptoms are bad enough. Cetirizine is generally very well tolerated. You can look online for the list of possible side effects.

Avatar f tn I just want all of you out there to know that my friend took an overdose of diphenhydramine last night. He took 100 of the 25 mg pills. Within 30 minutes he had horrible halucinations, and then around 4 hours later he was violently throwing up blood and stuff. He couldn't walk well and coordination was bad. This morning he slurs when he talks. He has had a stroke. The reason he did this was because he was diagnosed with cancer. Pancreatic and lung. He was given less than 6 mos.
