My son has been under the care of a paediatric specialist since he was 2 and was thought to be asthmatic (this wasnt an official diagnosis but a feeling by his doctor) so and was prescribed a bunch of different medication including Salubutomol inhalers, beclamethasone, cetirizine hydrochloride, montelukast, nose sprays like flucticanose, and also the atrovent inhaler. All these medications were given in different combinations at different times to see if any combination would work.
I took Montelukast (Singulair) for about one month and began having extreme nightmares and panic attacks. I stopped the montelukast immediately, and the nightmares stopped. But the panic attacks continue. I know others have had similar reactions, but I wonder if anyone has found out how to make the effects go away? I have been off the medication for over 3 months now.

In short, anything is possible and many meds mixing together certainly make it harder to know what is doing what.

My allergist from Cleveland clinic here in Coral Spring FL prescribe me CETIRIZINE 10MG 3 tablets a day for a month and then bring it down to 2 a day. I began with the treatment on March 2021 as today July 27/2021 I can tell you that I'm feeling 85% better before was every single day going to hell, today I'm not completely free, but feel much much better. Try it. CETIRIZINE is the same as ZYRTEC, but less expensive if a Dr. prescribed it . Good luck.
I got itching when I just got 4 weeks pg, and my doc prescribed CETIRIZINE as well. My boy is now 15 month old, happy and healthy and I'm still taking it daily other wise I could not stand for the horrible itching.
I have been to several ENT specialsits but all of them prescribe me nasal sprays and a montelukast tablet at night which really doesnt help.
Symptoms:
1. Constant thick white jelly mucus feeling like its coming from the back of my nose.
2. Balance issues : kind of like swaying motion.
3. always drained out and feel like sitting down all the time
4. No mucus present in my nose ever. Its like my nose is constantly dry.

In part, the answer to your question is dependent upon the type and severity of the tachycardia. Your doctor should be able to clarify that and answer the question of safety vs. avoidance. In addition, only one type of inhaler called a beta agonist, which comes in a short-acting and a long-acting form, can lead to tachycardia or other abnormal heart rhythms.
I get hives and I take something that is similar to zyrtec for it. Cetirizine 10mg given to me by my VA (veteran affairs) doctor. It's safe. Get well soon. I know the feeling and it *****.
Hi, I'd see your doc for a look/see and PFT testing to see what's going on. You may need an albuterol and/or steroidal inhaler and the PFT tests will help determine what's going on. May be inflammation and night is when it rears its ugly head sometimes :(

Also --- croup can happen with a sharp change of temp. It's tricky so the PFT is extremely beneficial for your Dr.
At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml.

I tried different creams like Funbac A, Bethametasone N, Skipyem cream and several , ,, it only go and come back immediately I stop using the cream. I was prescribed drugs like Montelukast, Loratidine, Ketoconazole, Dexamethasone, it comes back after treatment. Please I need your help.
I notice there is a white head on the tip as well. really dont know what is it.. I have been taking antibiotics (a week) and cetirizine (one month) and isotrotinoin (few months time) for a while. i have a right side throat pain for two weeks. i had problem in swallowing saliva, food and drinks. i went to an ENT doctor and he said (after visual exam) tonsillitis in both the side. he prescribed me cefunonyme (250mg) + potassium clavulanate(125mg), levocitrizine (10mg) + montelukast (10mg) , povidone iodine gargle for 10 days course otherwise surgery is required. i have taken medicines for 4 days and 50% improvement is noticed. i am afraid of surgery, what to do in this case?
