Avatar f tn I've had a cysto done and I've even gone in for a thorough ultrasound of my bladder. The urologist found nothing and has no solution to the problem.
Avatar n tn If you are male, frequent urination during the night can be the result of prostate issues -- quite common among males after middle-age. It can be the result of drinking a lot of fluid in the evening, too. Of course, urination can also be caused by blood sugars that are not well-maintained. Best to keep a log of your blood sugars -- which are MUCH more accurate for your doctor to use as a guide to adjusting your medication than either frequency of urination or even urine testing.
Avatar m tn The one STD which might be associated with urinary frequency is non-gonococcal urethritis, which is diagnosed by demonstration of increased numbers of white blood cells in a urine specimen collected at the beginning of urination or in a urethral swab from the penis. In both cases you should not have urinated for at least an hour before your specimen is collected. You could have this done at your local STD clinic for little if any cost.
Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
Avatar f tn Also, any possibility of sending the copy of reports to you or seeing you in person with the reports. Of course this consultancy is on a chargeable basis.
Avatar n tn s urine in the shaft of my penis and i have to go to the bathroom several times, sometimes a lot of urine comes out, im trying to drink less liquids. I have to urinate frequently in small bursts, i can control it sometimes, but at night when i try to go to sleep i cant hold it. I have this feeling that my penis is constantly trying to eject the liquid, it's hard to explain but its like there's pressure. I recently had an achographie which showed a pblem in emptying.
Avatar m tn The trouble with STDs is that there is sometimes no symptoms at all and if there are symptoms they can be different for each individual. One in ten males would notice alarming symptoms with gonorrhea one to seven days after exposure and about half of men infected with chlamydia notice symptoms anything from one to three weeks after exposure. The symptoms are usually discharge from the penis which is more noticeable first thing in the morning and or painful urination.
Avatar n tn There are several causes for frequent night urination in men, the most common being an enlarged prostrate and medication. Google searches produced http://ezinearticles.com/?Frequent-Urination-At-Night-Can-Be-Treated&id=120620 http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003140.htm http://www.articlesbase.com/medicine-articles/causes-of-frequent-urination-in-men-503003.html There are MedHelp discussion too http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn In the case of surgery, TURP and resection, the sphyncter is somewhat damaged and during ejeculation the shyncter fails to close to outlet of the bladderneck. As a result semen in now forced into the bladder instead of out of the penis. Upon urination semen now is expelled out of the bladder and penis during the urination process. I have never experienced frothy urine as a result of this, and have not come accross any other males with the same issue who mentioned frothy urine.
Avatar f tn Hello, In your case, one important possibility to be ruled out is of interstitial cystitis which can be found in males and can cause pain associated with urination (dysuria), urinary frequency (as often as every 10 minutes), urgency, and/or pressure in the bladder and/or pelvis. You should discuss this possibility with your urologist. Apart from that, another cause which needs to be excluded is diabetes.
Avatar n tn Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Making a diagnosis of a urinary tract infection includes performing a urinalysis test, which checks for the presence of pus, white blood cells, and bacteria in the urine, which point to a urinary tract infection.
Avatar m tn There can be worms or parasitic infestation of the urinary bladder causing schistosomiasis which is infection with a type of Schistosoma parasite but it causes frequent urination, painful urination (dysuria), and blood in the urine as its urinary symptoms. I suggest you to get your urinalysis taken and a complete blood count also. The presence of parasites can be detected based on the increased levels of eosinophils in the blood.
Avatar f tn Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I seem to be skipping questions for no apparent reasons. The fact that you are not emptying your bladder may well be the cause of your urinary frequency. If you are only emptying a relatively small amount but leaving a large amount in your bladder it will not take long before your bladder fills again. An obstruction to urinating can have the effect of destabilizing your bladder and cause you to go frequently.
Avatar f tn frequent urination at night isn't a sign of herpes infection. You need to continue to follow up with your provider for this. It could be many things from too much caffeine/sugar consumption during your waking hours, nerves, infection or even something like diabetes. Stop assuming that everything in your body means herpes and continue to look for other causes with your provider.
Avatar m tn There are many possible causes for frequent urination. eg. Do you drink a fair amount of caffeine (coffee, tea or soda pop)? A urinary tract infection (UTI) would certainly do it. A bruised uretha could do it.
