Avatar n tn Lactose Polyethylene Glycol Listing just lactose (One Molecule of lactose consists of one molecule each of two other carbohydrates, i.e. galactose and glucose) and Polyethylene Glycol. I will give you this information and let you draw your own conclusions as the safety of the product. The dosage for production must usually be within 5% of the labeled dosage to be considered (for example) a 2mg dose.
Avatar n tn Some months ago, I started a specialized diet; it contains relatively few carbohydrates, and my persistent heartburn went away. I didn't think much of it until I discovered the writings of Dr.
163305 tn?1333668571 Newswise — Chemists at the University of California, San Diego have produced the first high resolution structure of a molecule that when attached to the genetic material of the hepatitis C virus prevents it from reproducing. Hepatitis C is a chronic infectious disease that affects some 170 million people worldwide and causes chronic liver disease and liver cancer. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hepatitis C now kills more Americans each year than HIV.
Avatar n tn from being stuck to a protein molecule. When the hormone is attached to the protein molecule, it becomes 100% useless! So you realy want the free isolated hormones that actually do all the work to be tested and counted. Also if you are fatigued and it is common for people with low thyroid to also be deficient in the following and you should be tested for these as well Vitamin D3, Vitamin B-12 Iron Ferritin back to TSH. TSH is a pituitary hormone.
Avatar n tn Pegasys is Interferon alfa-2a with a chunk of an inert molecule attatched. The molecular weight of the chunk is about 40,000 Daltons. The inert material is polyethylene glycol(PEG), a long-chain molecule or polymer which passes unmodified through the body. Pegetron/PegIntron is Interferon-2b with a different-sized chunk of PEG on it., I believe its 14,000 Daltons. (You will recall that 1 Dalton is the weight of a hydrogen atom.
Tbd This does not mean that all carbohydrates must be avoided but it is necessary to limit carbohydrate intake and to choose what are called complex carbohydrates in place of simple carbohydrates. The goal for a type 2 diabetic is to maintain their blood glucose within a safe range. Complex carbohydrates are broken down at a slower rate than simple carbohydrates meaning that the glucose is released into the bloodstream at a slower rate allowing more time for the uptake of glucose.
Avatar n tn Synthroid is a stereo synthetic molecule that mimics the real thyroid molecule. Because it is similar in the type of bonds but not the true thyroid molecule (like Armour) the body is initially fooled into believing (metabolically) that it is getting a new, adequate dose of what it needs. The body, however, doesn't accommodate the stereo mimicry (being "fooled" by a look-alike molecule) very long and responds with symptoms similar to chemical poisoning (e.g.
Avatar m tn Ferrous ascorbate is anytime better than feredetate because on breaking of the molecule ferrous Ascorbate leave iron and vitamin-c ,both of them are useful to the body.Secondly ferrous ascorbate is adviced after meals so that the pH of stomache is nearly neutral at that time. The charge of iron ion is shielded by ascorbate molecule and is easily transferred through stomache wall.

1266263 tn?1270153368 Hi, The best fuel for muscles is carbohydrates, either simple sugars such as naturally occurring sugars in fruits and juices or complex carbohydrates the starches in whole grain products, rice, cereal, oatmeal and other plant foods. These carbohydrates provide not only energy but also important vitamins and minerals. You store only carbohydrates not protein or fats in your muscles in the form of sugar called glycogen. During hard exercise, you burn this glycogen for energy.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Reviro 300 for 6 months and feel tired and did my Vit D test and below are results , please guide ways to improve Vitamin D plus profile (Serum,CMIA) 25 Hydroxy (OH) Vit D 7.90 ng/mL PTH-(Intact Molecule),serum by CMIA 162.
929504 tn?1332585934 Reverse T3 is the mirror image of the normal T3 hormone molecule. The body can only use the normal Free T3 molecule. As I understand it, the Reverse mirror image RT3 molecule will fit into the receptor. But it won't have any effect. So in extreme case for example if all your body's receptors or too many (whatever that is?) are filled and plugged with the RT3 instead of the active T3, then there is no place for the true free T3 molecule to go and your body is starving.
Avatar n tn Hi. I was wondering if there's is some free app for carbohydrates counting? I was never good at that. Thank you.
Avatar m tn Alcohol does have carbohydrates in it, but different types of beverages have different amounts of carbs. It has a lot to do with what is used to make the alcohol and how it is made. (ie: many beers are made from wheat, barley, corn, or rice...typically high in carbohydrates. Wine is often made from grapes or other fruits that are then fermented to produce alcohol) In short- alcohol does have carbohydrates, but the amount of carbs varies a good bit between various types of drinks.
Avatar f tn Has anyone found that using the bio-available forms of folate and B12 (methylated) instead of the synthetic folic acid and cyano-cobalamin (which contains a cyanide molecule) helpful in reducing the AD symptoms?
Avatar f tn You have EVERY right to be upset. The resident is not worth going back to! Please post your lab results with the reference ranges. With this information the folks here can better assess your situation. And you have BETTER have more than just TSH which is completely useless in basing dosage levels. TSH is a scanning/screening test at best, and is just short of completely useless once you are on thyroid medication. Also please list the symptoms you have now other than body weight concerns.
Avatar n tn i don't know too much about nodules. But hearing the words not milignant can't be a bad thing! The T3 & T4 numbers you gave appear to be TOTAL and not "free". and are outdated and of little value. You REALLY need to get the FREE T4 and FREE T3 tests done. They are "free" in terms of the hormone molecule not being attached to a protein and thus are "free". The body only uses FREE hormone molecules.
Avatar m tn Creatinine is a chemical waste molecule that is generated from muscle metabolism. Creatinine is produced from creatine, a molecule of major importance for energy production in muscles. Creatinine has been found to be a fairly reliable indicator of kidney function. As the kidneys become impaired the creatinine level in the blood will rise. Normal levels of creatinine in the blood vary from gender and age of the individual. Normal levels of creatinine in the blood are approximately 0.6 to 1.
