Avatar f tn Does anyone have experience eating rice cakes in your diet on a somewhat regular basis to replace popcorn. Have you found this to be ok?
Avatar f tn Also goes great over popcorn (buy the kernels and microwave in a brown paper bag). Any type of fruit. I make zucchini noodles. If you don't have a spiralizer, a vegetable peeler works great. Roasted veggies are amazing. Lightly coat garbanzo beans in oil, seasoning of your choosing and roast at 450 until they are crunchy. Lettuce wraps are a great way to increase your veggies, collard, and swiss chard also make great wraps.
Avatar n tn Definitely avoid all dairy, especially cheese. It is one of the worst things for people with GI problems of all sorts. I have IBS and Celiac, so I know about the blocking, even though I haven't had the kinds of surgery you've had. I also have GERD, so I can definitely relate to digestive issues. I wonder how many people with digestive issues have food sensitivities and don't know it? I had to discover the Celiac on my own.

Avatar f tn Maybe if u have a light salad wrap which you make earlier in the day might be good. Light foods often make you feel better, so even if they are just small. Or if that takes too long, have some fruit or nuts (almonds like the other post said ;) ) ... or wholegrain for some energy. complex carbohydrates will keep your energy levels longer. I find rice cakes are a quick choice too.

And, I believe that you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that it makes you feel depressed. The rash you get is a tell-tale sign that you are definitely reacting to something. Even if you were to get allergy tested and it comes back negative for a "true" allergy, you know you're sensitive to the stuff, so you really should avoid it, like a plague.

Avatar n tn It causes colon cancer, destroys Vit A and Vit B1 and causes exacerbation of allergy symptoms. So if you are allergic to carbohydrates in general and especially to refined carbohydrates then you can get sulfur burps and diarrhea. Keep a stress diary and note what you eat and when the burps started. Take Vit A and Vit B supplements and lactobacillus preparations for some time and see if this helps. Take whole grain breads and avoid burgers, sandwitches of white bread, cakes, pastries etc.
Avatar m tn Diabetes is the bodies in-ability to process carbohydrates properly resulting in high blood sugar (BG). ALL carbohydrates not just sugar. Your body turns all carbohydrates into BG . I dont know what your "diet" is that you follow. BUT it has more carbohydrates than your body can process. Even the ADA's diet has too many carbs for you OR/AND you need drugs to help your body to process the carbs.

Veggies and fruits, in their natural state, are also fine. Try increasing your proteins somewhat, especially when you're feeling hungry, as carbs spur hunger and protein helps control it.
