I was wondering if it would be okay to take some xanax or percocet before the procedure. The doc said to take 3 Advil but I'm very nervous and scared, would it be alright? If so, which one would be better?

After a trip to the ER, it was assumed that I had an alergic reaction to the medicine. You could still have some inflammation left, so give it a few more days, take some advil if you can take it safely, and go from there. I took a few advil which helped and lower back pain went away in couple of days. then on friday the pain is terrible and it hurts to swallow and i feel like i have a fever, i feel immense pain in my neck and the side of my tooth my lymph node on my neck has exploded. i start taking doxycyclin and advil . on saturday i notice a bunch of ulcers in my mouth- one on my lip like a small circular one but its kind of flat, then another one under my tongue it looks like more of a white line, then one on my cheek near the wisdom tooth, and another ulcer behind the wisdom tooth.

Also, it seems to get better if I up and moving around sometimes you almost can notice it when I am. It never gets severe enough that I can't stand it or prevents me from doing anything. It's just enough that you can notice it.

Did your vet mention why they prescribed an antibiotic? Doxycycline can stay in the system for months after stopping the medication. I don't take pills/supplements and rarely take advil and thats only when I have migraines....which is fairly often but I say I rarely take advil because it isn't everyday and sometimes I can go 2 weeks without. I would rather not take anything even for the pain, I just deal with it. There are many days that I hurt so bad I don't want to move. All tests were normal including an EEG...the brain one. The neuro didn't have an explaination, he said everything was normal.

I would say it is , but if it keeps up I'd tell the doctor. It can't be to good for you! sorry this isn't more help.

It'll be awhile i still have about 15 or so days left to take these pills but i will. I'm not to encredably worried, i was just wondering mainly if anyone else had these kinds of problems and what kinda issuse it was with them.

It comfirms that i had inflamation. I had been given antibiotics and advil for 10 days and I had stopped taking coffe/tea. At the end of antibiotic treatement and advil. Swelling got reduced a lot. But my epididymis head still had a pea sized hard swelling I went to urologist in Sep 10th. He said no bacteria and it may take some time (a month , 2 month or years) or it may stay for ever. In oct 6th I had gone for another visit to the same urologist after an 2nd ultrasound.

and uncomfortable feeling in my urethra and sometimes pain at the tip, usually after I urinate... So I don't know what it is. Hopefully you can respond because I've got a few days before my doctors appointment to think about this....
