Got rid of the dizziness/unsteadiness and faint feeling within 3 days. I now still have some eye pain, and only hear the 'whoosh' when my eyes are really tired. This was triggered by a varicella vaccination.
I get the sensation that my eyes are moving rapidly (not saying that actually happens, it just feels like that), and I have a sense of dizziness overcome me. I have to open my eyes wide to try and stabilize, but even a second or two of this episode is enough to hinder me for a period of 48-72 hours. About a minute after opening my eyes, a sweat breaks out over most of my body, I become clammy very quickly. For the first day, I can barely move due to the overwhelming sensation of nausea.

I'm 24 and within the normal bodyweight for my hight though I would like to lose about 10lbs and still remain healthy. I did have my blood sugar checked a while ago and nothing came out abnormal. I wonder if it could be brought on as a side effect of wellbutrin? If not that, we also had the heat turned up for the weather which may have made it far worse. I seem to suffer this more in the winter. But it shouldn't be that dry in the room. I have lots of house plants and keep them fairly moist.
I'm taking Wellbutrin for Menopausal symptoms, not depression, having switched from Effexor. After two weeks of headaches, nausea, and dizziness, I am finally over the initial side effects. Not to mention no more hot flashes and desire to "bite off heads". Oh ya, sex is great again! My Dr. did say a benefit was weight loss and a higher libido. I said it was a no brainer. However, I got weight gain, not loss, plus a sensitive stomach.
The single biggest mistake that I ever made in my life was taking my Psychologist’s advice and starting Wellbutrin (Bupropion). It completely destroyed my life. The anger and irritability that it caused were definitely a part of that. If I were you I would avoid it at all costs. Be careful the withdrawal can be nasty.

I finally have a dr who thinks I've been having seisures. My sister has Epilepsy. I am 39 years old and have had dizziness so bad I have not been able to function. my dizziness is gone. I feel a little stupid from the meds. The dr assures me that will go away. I've lost 7 pounds which is okay since I packed on weight while the other doctors treated me as crazy. My last diagnosis was MS and I was so relieved not to have MS.

Medications in this category include nefazodone, venlafaxine and duloxetine. A medication that also works with the brain chemical dopamine is bupropion. Bupropion is unlikely to cause weight gain, and in fact, may cause some weight loss. It is also used to help people quit smoking.
So I have been taking venlafaxine (effexor) 150mg for 3 years now and bupropion (wellbutrin) 150mg for 3 months now and I recently had to go to surgery.I had an ovarian cyst that needed to be drained and my appendix taken out in the same operation. Should I expect withdrawal symptoms? I woke up this morning feeling awful, and I have recurring headaches and dizziness. My chest hurts and it hurts to take deep breaths... I don't know if this is the result of a cold/flu or withdrawal. Is it possible for me to withdraw after only taking the drug for 30 days? Please give suggestions as to what I should do... thank you.
And now I feel HORRIBLE. Constant headache, dizziness, eye pain, and derealization are the worst bits and they're really bad. Is this typical? And if any of you have had a withdrawal syndrome from Wellbutrin, how long does it usually last?
Wellbutrin is the version of bupropion often prescribed and intended to treat depression, while Zyban is used for smoking cessation. (Though some Docs prescribe Wellbutrin to help stop smoking too..) Good luck stopping smoking! I'm sure you will feel better!
I am now experiencing a moderate amount of fatigue and dizziness, both of which are somewhat annoying though a bit disconcerting. Am I wrongly attributing these symptoms to withdrawal, if not, how long do you think it will take for them to abate?
In many cases, taking a good history and asking some pointed questions can solve a medical problem without resorting to medications. For example, I saw a man in his late 30’s who came to see me with 3 days of left ear sound distortion and reverberation with mild fullness. He had no other problems, including hearing loss. His exam was completely normal.
The first day or so, not too much trama, however, by day 3 the nausea, head-spinning, tingling sensations, dizziness and just plain feeling sick-in-the-head and out-of-it feelings took over. Since I am new to this kind of med transition, can you tell me if what I am physically feeling is pretty usual when changing medications. I just don't want to lift my head up, it's like the hangover from down below, that won't go away or lessen.

He said he has prescribed Trazodone to thousands of patients and I was the only one who ever had this problem.

Changes in appetite, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, weight loss or gain, dry mouth. Those are some of the side effects, and are side effects of a lot of meds like that. And what your describing sounds a little like your getting agressive, which is one of the more rare side effects of some of these meds, and a doc should be consulted! Does it feel like your feeling aggressive? Can you name any other side effects you may be having?

My memory is becoming faulty to such an extent that I got up this morning and my kids were talking about a movie we watched last night and I had absolutely no recollection of what they described. My memory loss and inability to see things right in front of my eyes has been a running joke, but today it feels like a crisis. All I want to do is sleep to escape and right now, just cry. It seems that the Effexor was doing an important job after all.
