Hi. Since May of this year (2011) I've suddenly got this persistent itchiness on both my eyelids. It started out itchy then it swelled the next day which lasted for a couple of days with the help of hydrocortisone. Then when the swelling died down, both my eyelids became flaky. The itchiness remained and travelled all over my face. Only my eyelids showed visible flakes while the rest of my face just turned blushed from the scratching. It really feels inflammed.

I am a little concerned about my 18mth old.. when she was 6mths she had the bump on her upper eyelid. I asked the pedi and he at first thought it was a sty and it wasn't going away so I took her to a different pedi for a second opinion and they said it was an enlarged blood vessel. Finally when she was one I took her to a dermatologist and he also said it is an enlarged blood vessel, or so they think and just to check in every six months to monitor it.
like bumps, 2 around the same area on my lower eyelid, and one on my upper eyelid. Again on the outside of the lid, not underneath. My eye does not itch, is only mildly red, and just a little bit swollen, my lower eyelid became very dry and flaky. I am a nurse and I asked a PA what he thought they were and he said styes. I don't know if I believe his diagnosis. I thought styes only developed around the inside of the eyelids?
I went back and saw a different doctor who suspects Nephrotic Syndrome which is a kidney condition that causes leakage of protein from the blood into the urine and leads to oedema, ie puffy eyelids. He started me on good old steroids Prednisolone and that has helped a lot, the swelling reduced in 2 days. I'm also on Chloromphenicol for a conjunctivitis as my eyes are watery during the day and dry and crusty in the morning when I wake up.
( I have small eyes and small eyelids. I have swollen eyelids that seem to disappear when I wake up but after awhile it will droop or become thick and heavy. It is very frustrating! I look tired all the time and having bigger eyelids don't suit me! I was wondering how long did it take for your swelling to go down?! Also my doctor told me to use Zaditor. I have and saw some change but then all of a sudden it looks like my GPC got worse or my eyelids did. I bought a brand new pair of glasses.
I first knew something was wrong when I noticed that when I rubbed my eyes, even slightly, little pieces of skin would come off of my top eyelid. This happened when I was putting on my makeup. Throughout the day, my eyelids (my whole face really) felt really heavy, thick, and uncomfortable. When I took off my makeup later in the day, my eyelids were burning, stinging, and incredibly dry. So, I put on Cerave's night moisturizer for dry skin and an eye moisturizer around my eyes.
I had dry eyes and my doctor installed plugs on my tear ducks. Then I grew white bumps (tissues) on my tear duck. My eye doctor had to perform surgery on me to remove the foreign tissues and plugs. My eyes were aggergic to the plug material according to my eye doctor.
You need to see an eye medical doctor to have the white bump removed. It's a simple no pain surgery.

A few months ago I received unprotected oral sex by someone I barely knew. I knew I messed up because I'm not sure if the person was clean. it's been exactly three months since then.
My total serum IGE count is 74 (normal is less than 120
I have had allergy testing done but they are not congruent... Blood I am allergic to dogs and cats (I get rashes to dogs which I knew before hand) and nothing else environmental. And skin I'm allergic to dust mites and birch/popular but not dog or cat.
I have never had issues with allergies before and do not experience any respiratory symptoms other than reacting with hives when petting most dogs.
We think it is from him playing and caring for our dogs. Well the spot has not cleared up and they seem to be spreading. He has four now. Could it be ring worm? There are no bumps. They are smooth. Please help it is so funny looking and he is getting worried.

My dogs eyes are continusuely watering and red. I check her eyes almost everyday to see if she has anything in them, but I see nothing. She never scratches at them, I just want to know whats wrong with her. Please help. Suggestions and cures would be nice.
my dog, now about 10 months, has bumps on top of her head. they are hard, but i can move them around a little - so I guess, they don't seem to be "attached" to anything? they have appeared over time, not all at once. one of them is starting to part the hair slightly so i can see the scalp... i was told it was an allergy, but not by my vet, which i will take her too soon... but just wondered if you've heard of anything like this.
My son who just turned 1 years old a few weeks ago has had stye like bumps on his eye lids for almost 5 weeks now. He actually has four, one on each lid and they are pretty close to the lids. I've been using topical eye ointment and warm compress for many weeks now and they sometimes appear to be getting better, then worse again and have not yet gone away. Now his lids are pretty swollen and red and I've started giving him oral anitbiotics (Cefprozil) which are prescribed for 10 days.
