I wake up at night wheezy,coughing up white or clear phlem . I also have chest heaviness and itchiness in the chest area. I feel like there is phlem stuck in my throat and my nose feels stuffed.When it is hot out I get these same symptoms.could this be asthmatic bronchitis or something else. I took antibiotics and they didn't help so the doctor gave me avelox(a stronger antibiotic)I am afraid to take it because there are so many dangerous side effects.

Avelox... I went yesterday and saw a lung specialist, he calmed me down and told me that i only have a little pneumonia in my lower left side it's nothing to be worried about. It's the bronchitis that's causing a lot of pain in my chest and back that I did not have prior to the antibiotics.

I am currently waiting on my second lap surgery for my Endo and my doctor has decided to start me on Lupron. I have a lot of worries about this medication but he assures me it will help with the pain. Can anyone that's been on Lupron let me know what you thought of it, and what side effects you experienced/how you dealt with them? Thanks!

m curious as to what happened with your side effects from Avelox. Did they eventually go away.

Is there something that I can do to combat the yucky side effects? Also, what about surgery? I do have a Dr. at Mayo that suggests a consult with the Neurosurgeon. I'd appreciate any feedback or ideas... Thanks much!

they put me on a 2 wk regimen of avelox. i am not having any side effects from it, but infection continues to get worse. at this point i feel no end in sight for this infection. it is feeding off the antibiotics and in my mind i will never get well. and i am sure with being on 4 sets of antibiotics, this bug has just grown resistant to anything and will kill me. i don not relish a long suffocating phegmy death. any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am freaking out and i can not sleep at all... do you know how long the drug will be in my body..? the side effects are pretty bad and i had nightmares when i fell asleep..

Hello, My name is Anatoly Petrov and I have I had a heart attack on 09/21/09. After my bare metal stents were clogged and I almost got another heart attack, a DES was placed inside those two. Since then I have been having chest pains. I am currently on Plavix, Aspirin, Simvastatin, Lisinopril and Carvedilol/Coreg/. Stopped Lisinopril for a little bit and felt much better- unfortunately my blood pressure went a little up.

I was reading about Avelox and it mentioned serious heart rhythm side effects - a rare heart called prolongation of QT interval. I am scared to death to take this. I did disclose to the doctor that I suffer from SVT but she didn't mention side effects or warnings. My question is.....has anyone had any reactions to this antibiotic? Are there any "heart friendly" antibiotics out there that I could ask to substitute?

t state whether your concern was side effects or efficacy it is hard to answer you. However, if you are reading reviews online then you are only getting what people prefer or don't like. It is not scientific information about the drug and its effects. The only way you will know if it is the right drug for you is to try it. Some of the commercials are scary because they have to list the serious effects that may have only affected one person.

I have been on Wellbutrin for 3 days and have severe insomnia, constipation and dizziness. Will these side effects last long? Will they go away eventually?

Also cannot see close up with my old over the counter reading glasses, and I have to wear my driving glasses with which I am able to see the text on the computer and phone clearly. Have not been informed before surgery of these possible side effects of cataract surgery. Can anyone tell me about the flickering and could that eventually go away and why do I see clearly with my distance driving glasses on the computer and not my old close up glasses. very peculiar for sure.

s not expensive, there are no side effects besides being able to breath again, much less pressure and it really helps with the headaches. Sinus infections are notoriously difficult to get rid of due to the fact that the sinus cavities are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria..........dark, warm and moist.

Glad you are feeling better. New and improved meds are not always better for everyone. We can't assume our doctors know or remember every med we are taking and so many meds are toxic to the liver for us that have liver damage. "Patient be ware". Of course when we are ill and out of sorts that last thing we want to do is read the "Cautions" and "Possible Side Effects" on our prescription bags.

Go and look at the reviews (woman who have had it done and some have had severe side effects) its better to be very well informed than not at all. I'm getting my tubes tied after this baby !! Good Luck to you all !!

I am scared to take the AVELOX because I have panic attacks and this medication causes nervousness, suicidal thoughts, nightmares, confolsions, and other bad side effects and I am afraid to even take it. should I go to another allergy specialist? I have an ENT app on the 8th. what should I do??!!! why do I have this cough? it is clear phlem when I do produce a fluid cough and it comes and goes..usually when I first wake up and at night before bed it gets bad..

I'm thinking of trying Zoloft for my gad/pd. No real depression, just anxiety. I've been on Effexor for about 1 month and it doesn't seem to be working. It also gives me tremors and night sweats. I was on Lexapro for many years then it pooped out. I did very well on Lexapro. My anxiety has been a daily battle for the past few months. I exercise, do yoga, go to therapy, on meds to no avail. Has anyone had success on Zoloft for severe anxiety? What about side effects?

This sounded like a great idea to me until I went online and read stories of women who stopped taking their birth control pills. I read about all the side effects they got...weight gain, break outs, spotting, excessive bleeding, headaches, etc... I am 22 years old, so I am still prone to break outs (and I really don't want to break out more than I already do), I already have a heavy flow as it is with the pills, and lets just say I don't want to gain extra weight.
