I am a 27 yr old female who has been bothered with muscle twitching or a feeling like something is jumping in my legs and arms. It recently started having all of these problems. I have been bothered with breathing problems for the last 4 months and having a hard time getting over it plus I have bad allergies. I have never had this twitching before though. My general doctor checked for potassium levels but they were fine.
I've had burning pain, weak right leg, pain at back of right knee for the past ten years or more (plus incredibly flat feet). Doctors attributed it to muscle pain from scoliosis. However, I've just been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Hypermobility type. It's a genetic condition where the joints are extremely flexible and the ligaments very lax. Only the joints my right side are affected, including my wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee, ankle, etc.
I was having burning and pierced sharp pains in my arms, legs, feet, ect.. but after I took lexapro, it seemed to help for a little... my pains were so bad at times..that I dont know if this is part of it, but one morning I woke up with my knee hurting and then by that night, I was on crutches because I couldnt walk.. then after that... my pannick and anxiety attacks were still pretty bad... so he went from 300 mg of welbutrin and lexapro together...
My Doctor thinks it may be nerve related from the Spinal Stenosis I had. I have tried every nerve pain meds, pain meds, anti-depressants, anti-anxiety meds, etc. Nothing works, and it has started to drive me crazy! I have seen a Neurologist with no success. I am going into a Pain Management Program, but I am not very positive about the possible results! That's because nothing has worked so far, and this has been going on since June 2004!

I am a 42 year old woman with frequent lower left quandrant pain. I've had this pain for the past 2 years, off and on. I've been checked by my obgyn as I have a history of complex and simple cysts of both ovaries as well as cervix; I had a partial hysterectomy 4 years ago. This most recent bout of pain has lasted 2 weeks; it is more pronounced in the morning and after exercise. My abdomen seems to be slightly swollen only on the left side and is tender to the touch.
However, for the last six months, I have still been dealing with intermittent ear and eye pressure and tingling and burning pains in my arms (around my elbow), legs (around my knee), jaw, and mouth. Most of the symptoms are isolated to the left side of my face and body. I have seen several internists, an infectious disease specialist, two ENTs, a neurologist, an allergist and immunologists, an oral surgeon with TMJ expertise, an eye doctor, and a dermatologists.
the doctor's did say that i ahve sciatica. it is a condition where you have pain around or through your buut down the leg. they gave me medicine which did not work. so, i ending up going to a chiropractor. the treatments he did felt good, but my pain is still there and now spreading to other areas, so he ordered an mri. well, i just thought i would tell the possiblity of it being the sciatic nerve and since you have already had tests done, then maybe you want to go and see a chiropractor.
At this time i also started to get pain in my legs (mostly at night when they were rested), which would feel like terrible growing pains, and made it very difficult to sleep. My legs were so uncomfortable and restless. this progressed to a fibromyaligia like state, where my whole body felt sore most of the time. both day and night, i felt like a truck had run over me, and i was exhausted. two years ago i was standing up working when i felt this pain settle in the soles of both feet.
Should I go to ER or wait for my neuro appt? The pain has been for about 15 days now. The pain is mainly behind my right eye and above my right eye - also some in my right temple. I also have right ear pain and tinnitus. Does it sound like TMJ cause I do grind my teeth? Thanks so much!!!!!

About two years ago, I was rear-ended in my car (minor accident with some whiplash), approximately one year later (could be completely unrelated from accident), I started having intense dizziness/vertigo and back of head pain/aches that migrates to frontal head pain, sometimes stabbing pains in ears, sometimes ringing too. I had an MRI and CAT Scan of both Head and Sinuses.
This infection goes away while on the antibiotic but then it returns again after being off the antibiotic for a few weeks. It is painful and I have headaches with sinus pain and pressure. I just feel sick when I have this infection. I have been told over and over again that it is staph and just take the meds and it will go away.
I took a 7 day course of 400mg Avelox about one month ago (April 5th). I have had a good amount of tendon pain mostly in left achilles and in tendons on top and bottom of arch of foot as well as some heel and knee pain. Again, like I said primarily left side. The achilles pain has subsided some, most of the pain and discomfort now is in the foot.

This new box warning via FDA is something i've been aware of for some time in patients using ciprofloxaxin, levaquin (levofloxacin), Moxifloxacin (Avelox), ofloxacin (floxin), gatifloxacin (tequin), and i'm glad it'll be highlighted on labeling, showing it's increasing incidence: risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture is further increased in those over age 60, in kidney, heart, and lung transplant recipients, and with use of concomitant steroid therapy.
I have had SEVERE joint pain from taking avelox. After 2 days of taking the antibiotic for a combined sinus and a mrsa staff infection, I had crippling joint & tendon pain in my knees, ankles, Achilles, shins and hips. After calling my dr. and speaking to my pharmacist, i stopped taking the medicine immediately. I made an appointment with the prescribing dr.
I took the antibiotic Cipro (which causes tendon pain and ruptures) and now have a bunch of problems with both ankles. I have achilles tendon pain, and I also have pain and swelling on the inside of my ankle and arch of foot. It hurts to move my toes back, and I can't stand on my toes at all (can't even get off the ground). I also have no balance and sway. If I walk one foot in front of the other (like a drunk driving test), I fall.

If it is fresh blood and only streaks along with hard stools and pain in the anal region while defeacating, it could be because of anal fissures (injury to the mucosal lining by hard stools which bleeds). I suggest you to get an immediate evaluation done from a physician and get it examined. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
cannot function without NSAIDs - Other symptoms include pain, tingling and numbness in my arms, legs, fingers and toes (transient) and severe fatigue; diarrhea which started a month or so before the bursitis and never resolved (ruled out Crohn's and parasitic/bacterial GI infections, ruled out C.
The pain never really got that bad and went away completly within a couple of months but within the past few weeks I started having pain in my legs and a week after the pain started I must have torn a ligament when I was cleaning the floor and couldn't walk for 4 days at all and not whithout pain for 2 weeks. I remembered I had used Transdermal Magnesium and started using it again and also I used Biosil from Natrol early on.
For my Bart, I have been through rifampin (gave me stomach pain, which just added to the existing Bart caused stomach pain), Avelox, which gave me an achilles heel cramp, Levaquin, which seemed to work well for me, but also caused achilles heel discomfort, and now I am starting Bactrim. I started Plaquenil last week. I believe the Bactrim/Plaq combo is also good against both Bart and Lyme when they go intracellular.
