Over the last 6 months to a year I have experienced intermittent diarrhea and rectal bleeding as well as occasional abdominal cramping. Rectal bleeding can occur without BM and will turn water red. Hgb dropped from 14.3 to 12.9 over 10 days. Most recent episode experienced diarrhea, bleeding, fever, severe cramping, weight loss, and anorexia. Initial stool cultures were negative. Colonoscopy revealed mild proctitis and grade I hemorrhoids.
The lower part of my arms swell and are very painful. It hurts just to move my arms. I have like a burning and stinging in my legs and my knees hurt very bad. My hips hurt when I lay on either side. Went to doctor and done blood work and was checked for rheumatoid arthritis. Everything come back o.k. My back hurts when I stand very long. Only relief I have is when I apply heat to the different areas. Not depressed, but I want to sleep a lot. What is going on here?
I cannot sleep longer than for 2 hours. I was given Tramadol and Arthrotec for the pain. I now take Arthrotec and paracetamol after suffering a vomiting fit. I am tired of waiting to receive an appointment to see the hospital neurosurgeon to whom I was referred. I was told to get an ambulance back to hospital immediately if I became incontinent or numb in that area. What does '...
I work for an Ortho Surgeon who specializes in knee and hip replacements and also sees a lot of patients with severe arthritis, he does use Mobic alot but also uses the Arthrotec. Find a good dr. and get some definitive answers then proceed from there as far as what medications will help you. Keep us posted and welcome to the forum.
i am on very high doses of morphine, oramorph, tramadol, dihydrocodeine, baclofen, arthrotec & some paracetamol for a bad back. I also have osteoporosis & take calcium tablets for this too. This has gone on for 5 years since i fell off the back of my old works truck. Oh & 2 lots of pills for high blood pressure.
Thank you so much. It's great to be able to talk to somebody about this who's been there. Plus I have no support from my family. They know nothing about this. I've always been known as the strong one. The great mother, sister, aunt,etc. But to me this is a great weakness that I'm so ashamed of.
I am a registered nurse who has been experiencing pain just below my rib cage right side through to my back for almost 12 weeks the pain was coming and going for a while then got more sever and constant worse with movement. No injury or strain brought this on it is worse at night and in the morning it is preventing me from sleeping and wakes me. If I get into a comfortable position I am ok for a bit but movement and sneezing can make it unbearable.
nothing helps this pain feel better,it is worse when I sit, it is constant, and burning in my left butt cheek, and down my thigh, and when walking it changes to the side of my left knee, and calf, and back of my thigh..the only time that I am pain free is lying down. I am so sick of this, and my DR i now thinking it could be my hip. Who knows, all I know is that I am so sick of being in pain. Oh, I also have a lot of spasms in my feet, especially at the beach.
I was on Arthrotec and Mefenamic (at different times) and both really did a number on my stomach. Now I'm on iv morphine. From what I can remember also, when I took Codeine a long time ago, I would also get a lot of stomach pain or chest pain and get really hot in the face. Weird it don't happen with morphine.
I guess my post wasn't much help. Sorry. But just check about the aspirin.
Usually Miralax is used to make you go to the bathroom. If you have diarrhea, you should probably stop taking it for a while and see what happens. Your digestive system should get back to normal once you stop taking the laxatives.
This happened to my sister too, and we called the doctor for her after three days because the diarrhea didn't stop even though she wasn't on the medication anymore. I would suggest you do the same.
I'm 35 weeks 5 days and I've been having a lot more bowel movements lately along with some diarrhea and cramping that comes and goes for the past 3 days.. does this mean I'm going into labor soon?
In Dec of 2013 I first became ill, and the diarrhea has been constant since Jan 2014. I only felt my neck to be tender and swollen last month, and was tested hyper then.
The diarrhea pattern has waxed and waned over the last year+. Right now, it's pretty severe, to the point of waking me from sleep again, which had stopped for several months.
I see an Endo next week, and I just had a colonoscopy last week (my 2nd). Everything looks good in the colon. I follow up with GI in May.
