aripiprazole and liver

I might be pregnant and my psychiatrist told me not to worry about the embryo. He told me that even while I'm taking 15 mg of Aripiprazole and 50 mg of Sertraline daily, there is no danger. I'm really worried. if I'm pregnant,would these doses harm my embryo being taken daily?

Hi I'm on 50mg of methadone and 10mg of aripiprazole and I'm wondering if I should keep taking the 2 together as it makes me mega drowsy and also is this combination a thing to worry av about can someone let me know please?

I would try replacing the Aripiprazole (Abilify) and the Sertraline (Zoloft) by taking 25mg of 5-HTP 3x Daily for 1 week as anymore than this could induce Serotonin Syndrome. I would then recommend swapping the tablets out for a 5-HTP transdermal patch which will release a more even dose of 5-HTP throughout the day especially if you have BPD as otherwise the oral form could cause mania.

I have just started taking Aripiprazole(Abilify) and have found it to have some beneficial effects on my mood. However I am also finding myself to be extremely drowsy. I have heard that this side effect wears off with time. Has anyone else experienced this? It's the first antipsychotic I've taken that's had any effect so I don't want to stop it but the fact I can literally go to sleep while standing up is making my life difficult.

My mother (she is 78) fell yesterday in the early evening and she will be all right but she busted her nose and knee and we had to get her to the hospital by ambulance. I have been off my meds because i ran out of refills for 21 days now (i used to take 10mg aripiprazole, 80mg duloxotine, and bupropion HCL XL 300mg.) i dont know if that would effect my period but it’s worth a shot putting it out there. if you bp then your more than ,.Ikey high and low is what bp is..the ablifi can make you mania even when its working..but you also need to be on something for deppreshion such as lamictail.....talk this over with ur pdoc..but yes most bi polars are on ore than 1 med...some takes yrs to get there =combo..i took ablifi it threw me into mania in 4 days...

I'm a little confused. Your suffering a major clinical depression and your worried about gaining weight? When I was suffering from this disease at it's worst, even if taking an AD medication ment that my hair would fall out and would cause me to gain 400Lbs, I would have still taken it. That's how bad I wanted the pain to stop. They all have side effects without exception.

Hi I have recently been diagnoised with bipolar disorder and given the medication ariprprisole and beta blockers. I cant tell you how edgy i feel. My doctor took me off prozac too. I cant relax or sit still and im still not sleeping. Can anyone give me any advice. Thanks.

If you are on Opana ER 30mg, why are you still taking Dilaudid? Is the Dilaudid dose taken into consideration in the conversion? 3. Opana ER is recommended to dose every 12 hours. However, for myself (not something you have of course) in having schizoaffective disorder I needed an antipsychotic and all of them except for Clozaril (which causes blood dyscreias and needs constant bloodwork and can be dangerous and something I couldn't tolerate) can cause it. It all means you have damaged your liver! Alcohol and many drugs including those OTC are damaging to the liver. If you drink alcohol, quit for a month or so and your enzymes should return to normal. But be warned - increased enzymes means your lifestyle is damaging you and if you revert back to that lifestyle, more damage will occur.
