Avatar f tn Since being on Tamoxefen almost 3 and a half years I have noticed alot of water retention and gas lately. Can this happen now after taking it for this long? I cannot stand the pressure of the gas and the water weight makes it impossible to wear any of my clothing in comfort. I understood that the gain would be initially and not now. Also, I have alot of gastrointestenal problems on this drug, night sweats are terrible, discharge and so much more.
Avatar n tn If he finds himself thristy a lot of the time, he could suck on crushed ice. It seems to work better than plain water for quenching thirst. and it takes a lot less to get the job done. If he drinks alcohol, he needs to quit. If he smokes, again he needs to quit. If he has excess weight, he needs to lose it. If he is sedentary, he needs to get up and move as much as he possibly can, but never to the point of not being able to catch his breath, or carry on a conversation.
Avatar f tn Is it normal to retain water while on Synthroid? I never experienced water retention before I began my Synthroid. Now that I am on Synthroid, I am retaining water pretty badly. I often wake up with swollen fingers and I tend to weigh 5 or 6 pounds more in the morning than I do in the evening. This is very out of character for me. Anything I can do to help alleviate this issue?

Avatar f tn 30am, at 12:30p I went to bed for a few hours. Long story, short....I've been feeling horrible since last Tuesday. No energy, very tired and shaky, MENTAL FOG, very emotional, I've cried at least one time everyday since. Even when I was diagnosed with BC i believe I cried only once. I feel I can't do this for 5 years. I tried 1/2 pill yesterday to see if there is any difference, I think there is.
Avatar f tn celery onion parsley garlic peppermint eggplant cabbage cranberries asparagus corn cucumber grapes watermelon Some sources say to reduce intake of parsley and celery to avoid water retention. Avatar m tn I've got a 11 month old Pitbull called Bella. About 2 months ago me and my wife noticed her belly grew quite a bit, we left as we thought she just gained some wait, but it started to grow bigger and bigger. A month ago we took her in to the vet, he said she's got a infection but also may be liver problems. 3 days later her stomach gained about 4 inches (11cm) more water, we took her to another vet, he withdrew clean water out of her belly and said she might have a underdeveloped liver.

Is this normal to still be so bloated even once I'm restored and even past my initial weight? I'm not sure if the distension in my stomach is weight gain or bloating. Anyone experience something similar or know what could be going on? I have attached a picture of what my stomach looks like naturally (no pushing out). https://ibb.

10948614 tn?1414173719 I have no symptoms except for extreme fatigue and water retention and some slight swelling on my outer ankle bone. I found out I am gluten intolerant so that means damage and inflammation for the last 45 years but I am gluten-free and almost grain free now. I drink a lot and pee a lot so it is almost like my body is somehow intolerant to water or leaking it through my intestines? Diuretics have never worked and I have no signs of kidney disease.

Avatar n tn I have only had Arimidex. I only took it for about 2 months during my remission. I didn't really understand that it could have actually prevented my recurrence. It did cause a similiar bone pain to the carbo/taxol I had done. For that reason I quit taking it. There are doctors also using one now called Femara. Maybe one of those would work for you.
