Avatar m tn My 13 year old son has been sick since Feb 21. Steady pain in the lower right abdomen plus sharp pains every 1-3 minutes. He's been tested for Celiac disease, colitis, ulcers, food allergies, IBS, chrone's, and has had 2 ct scans, xrays, endoscopy, and a colonoscopy. Every test has come back negative or normal. Low white blood count on every blood draw. One of the ct scans suggested mesenteric lymphadenitis, but we were told that should clear up in a couple of weeks.

Avatar m tn 0-38.5) for 28 hours, 2 hrs after the fever, I had exanthema starting from my mouth, hands and feets together with sore throat, then some of the exanthema turned to bladder after 24 hours and everything was gone after 2 weeks, the doctor told me that it was hand foot mouth disease. But at 4th week after the sex, I had very little lymphadenitis under the lower jaw, body temperature around 37.0, feels dry in my throat and rhinorrhea some time.
Avatar m tn Mesenteric lymphadenitis is a rare condition and I don't know anything about it. Is it considered an auto-immune condition? if so, there could be a connection between the 2 problems since episcleritis is also an autoimmune problem. The pain in episcleritis can radiate to areas around the eye. It is important for you to understand whether you have episcleritis or scleritis, which sound almost the same but have very different treatments and prognosis.

Avatar m tn I have been undergoing ATT for last 1 year and still the node at neck of Tuburculor Lymphadenitis is visible. I have been taking PYZINAMIDE, ISONAIZIAD, RIFAMPICIN, ETHAMBUTOL.... why is that despite 1 year of continuous treatment TB is not healing completely? Has the TB turned into drug resistant TB? What should I do? what side effects it might have on my body? I have also been taking B- Complex regularly...
Avatar m tn I undergo an excision biopsy last december in the supraclavicular because I noticed a small lump. The result was TB lymphadenitis. 2 weeks after the operation, a painful large scrofulous lump is growing in my suprasternal notch. Then I undergo an operation again to drain that and to have a biopsy of the liquid. The result was "giant-multinucleated-cells" and no mention of TB at all. Then after just 1 month, it began growing again under the last scrofulous lump.
Avatar m tn Don't be scared...I've had enlarged lymph nodes for several months. I was diagnosed with lymphadenitis. This is probably because I've had so many lymph nodes removed because the cancer I had. I am told I am in remission now...but I still experiance swollen lymph nodes just as you described. Even now I deal with pain from them. Please don't let what I say alarm you. I just think it's wise to have a doctor check it out.
Avatar m tn These can be hard to get rid of so you may need to be on antibiotics for 3-4 uninterrupted weeks. If you take them for a week, stop, feel bad, and then get a new prescription and start a new course after a 3 day break, it won't do you any good.
Avatar n tn Hi, this could be sebaceous cyst, lipoma, mastoiditis, lymhadenitis etc. Please consult surgeon for investigation, biopsy, to find out the cellular make up of the swelling. Only once the diagnosis is confirmed, one might think of treatment.
