. A lot of people would be surprised to find out that the gas stations make very little, if any profit on the fuel...it's the soda, cigarettes, etc where their profits come from. HOWEVER, the fuel stations stay competitive by raising or lowering their fuel prices by 1/10 of a cent. They have very little wiggle room on their pricing anyway, since that's regulated.
