I am also taking Aromasin for bc. Stopped alendronate (I am osteopenic due to 30 yrs of prednisolone and Arimidex) in case this caused the oesophagitis. Would appreciate your advice.
I took my first dose of Alendronate and then experience significant muscle pain for the next 4 days. Does anyone know if I should expect this to happen each time I take it or is it something to happen for the first few times until my body adjusts to the medicine?
Do you mean Fosamax (alendronate)? If you do, its for treating bone problems like Osteoperosis by adding bone mass and slows bone loss. I use it for Osteopenia.

The authors examined the effects of high-dose oral alendronate (40 mg daily) for 6 months on 3 adult patients with intractable headache due to fibrous dysplasia of the skull. Each patient had disease processes not amenable to surgery. The patients underwent clinical follow-up at 1, 3, and 6 months. Their pain levels were documented at each visit by using a visual analog scale. All 3 patients demonstrated a significant decrease in pain levels and became independent of scheduled analgesics.
Part of the problems we are having in this country, I believe, stems from the formal education we have, or don't have. Basically the public education system we have has not changed over the last century, so what changes would you make if you could and if added cost is involved how would you pay for it.

can somebody explain special education? My grandson has ADHD, mild depressive disorder, SID and emotional problems. He was removed at age 3 from his parents due to neglect by the parents who were heroin addicts. At 15 months he tested positive for being exposed to opium, benzo.... basically everything except marijuana through a hair folicle test. The mother was using drugs and breast feeding.
thankyou,i am with contact of my doctor ,he said there is no solution for damaged vertibras,but calcium and vitiman d and alendronate sodium/cholecaiciferol tablets will help spine and bones from further damages but what to do with prednisones i cant stop them because of asthma and taking of them will damage other bones isnt there any other solution instead of prednisones, i know there is nothing accept these because my doctor told me:(

Osteoporosis medications like Raloxifene (Evista), alendronate (Fosomax), risendronate (Actonel) and ibandronate (Boniva) all can cause flu like symptoms in individuals that are taking them. I am not sure what medications you are on, but this could be your problem.
I really hope at least we can teach people over here not to get freaked out and stop their education....or at least medical health care.....I've seen it for real and I was so ashamed to ask for that test ( healthy people wanting to check their stomach and liver trouble were there and my voice was low.....I also wanted to leave and come back when the nurse if free to take me...).

t just infiltrated hospitals and clinics -- it has taken over the medical education process too. You see, each year, doctors must take refresher courses to stay abreast of the latest "advances" in medicine. And these courses are funded almost solely by Big Pharma. Even worse, in most cases, drug companies get to pick and choose which courses they want to pay for -- and they usually opt for ones that promote their products.

I would like your advice and input on what I should do. I'm 18 a Senior (12th Grade) in high school, I reside with my grandmother and sister. My family is far less than wealthy you could say, and lately we have been having finance issues, clearly noticeable as my grandmother always fusses about it. Well recently I applied for employment at Wal Mart and was hired, I was so happy I was. Until they told me my hours of work would be 4PM - 1AM. Even on weekdays.
Also, would it perhaps be possible to add some alendronate, or something else to help her bone density and still be able to benefit from the thyroid medication? Thank you so much!
