14183940 tn?1433536902 Hey Cj!! I didn't realize you were so close, I'm from Amarillo, Texas. I know here in Tx, many rehab centers offer payment plans for people without ins, you would need to locate one near you and see if maybe that is an option for you. Take care!!
Avatar f tn hi im a week sober im in abit of pain on my leftside under my ribs and the other side is sore l have dirorrea its colour is yellow and as been for three weeks im on strong pain killers to ease the pain ive been drinking a year and a half one bottle of wine and two to three cans a day if you could help me it would be gratefull thankyou
Avatar n tn I would seriously SERIOUSLY consider having him detox in a hospital or rehab center. Not only will they treat his physical state so he can detox safely, they'll help treat his alcoholism. If he's been this addicted to alcohol it's almost absolutely 100% that he'll continue drinking without going into rehab, inpatient detox, and a 12 step program.
Avatar f tn You have to be ready and willing to put in the work or else no rehab in the world is gonna be able to help you. Im all for it and yes they do work if your willing and ready to open your mind and heart to sobriety. You have to be ready. Are you ready?
317822 tn?1223241475 I must have been in a decent rehab, because when I was in 20 years ago (for alcohol and drugs) I liked it so much that I didn't want to leave....truth. When I walked through the doors I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders. They will keep you comfortable while you detox then they will get you up and your days will be quite full.....group therapy, individual therapy, classes, journaling and meetings (AA and/or NA). You'll also have some free time.

Avatar f tn Prime rib with the dip. I had that and it was sooooo yummy. And a baked potato and a strawberry margarita w/out alcohol of course.
Avatar f tn Just got out of rehab I have 28 days clean of of Xanax stayed in the rehab for 21 days , the dr sent me home on inderal , nuroten , and visteral
Avatar f tn I just returned from a womans' detox and it was the best thing I ever did. I was able to withdraw from both alcohol and opiates in a safe place. I couldn't do it at home, not while I still had to go to work, and also worry my family. I was in a nice room with 5 others, then went to me own room, and I could stay as long as I wanted before I had an aftercare program set up. I arranged for all of that while in rehab, so I was prepared when I got out.
Avatar m tn I know lithium intensifies with alcohol but know after not drinking for two weeks my hands are still shaking. Is it the combination of lithium and alcohol and the alcohol that is causing this? I plan to stop drinking and feel I have no problem doing that but how do I stop my hands from shaking?
Avatar n tn i need help, im very scared for him, we live in texas and texas is very hard on the law. i want to know whats gonna happen to him when he goes to see the judge, he was caught at walmart for forging a prescrition and they arrested him and he made bail, we are not wealthy or anything so i dont think we can even afford a good attorny, hes probably gonna get a court appointed one, is he going to be on probation? or is he looking at jail time?
Avatar f tn I will have to have them find me a rehab in Texas since Im leaving soon after detox. Bless my Mother for staying here at the house to watch my kids while Im gone for that week. =) Thanks to all of you...I will be posting updates and checking in on all of you! You are all a blessing!
Avatar m tn I do not believe that taking him to a rehab facility would mean he would get in trouble at all. I am currently in an outpatient rehab, and I have told them some terrible things that I did to get my DOC (drug of choice), but they did not tell on me to anyone. I don't think any rehabs do that. It is my understanding that outpatient rehabs are more affordable than inpatient rehabs. I have just recently been told about and am researching rehab scholarships.
Avatar f tn Thanks. I'm now on day3 And the tremors hav stopped. Still have the runs tho bt slept better last nite-took double my dose of mirtazapine and am drinking plenty of water and taking a multi vitamin. If I was to seek medical help it would take weeks in my area and I'm ready now. If I waited weeks for medical help my head may be in a different place so I thought best to seize the momment and go ct.
Avatar f tn Alcohol and ANY medications is bad. Alcohol puts stress on all your organs and primarily your liver and kidneys...most medications are cleared through either your liver or your kidneys. Bad mix. You probably need to go to a Detox facility where you can be monitored and given the appropriate meds to help you get off the alcohol.
Avatar n tn My 18 yr old granddaughter has been arrested for calling her boyfriend who had a restraining order against her. She also has pending, stealing cigarettes, verbal abuse to a nurse, breaking a car window in an argument with someone & we did not post bail & would like to get power of attorney & see if we can have her put in a rehab. She has been on a downward spiral for at least 4 years. We know she drinks & are pretty sure that she takes various drugs. What can we do?
Avatar f tn Ur being really strong and for not going to ur dads for a couple is great.I dont do NA myself either.I cant afford expensive therapy etc but I found a place that goes on a sliding scale(Im a stay at home mom so we have1income).I c an addiction specialist&a therapist every week. Its actually a mental health facility&a very well knlwn rehab center(didnt go to rehab there but Im lucky to get to use some the the services and can afford it).Check around for something like that in ur area.
Avatar m tn Hello Mustang. Call your doctor who first detoxed you. You didn't mention if you're alcoholic, but alcoholism is a disease, not a social problem. Relapse is common with the disease and I'm sure your doctor will understand. Don't worry, they just want to help us. It's what they got in the business for. As far as my story goes; l stay sober by going to AA. I surround myself in the atmosphere of recovery with other alcoholics. I could never do it alone.
Avatar f tn I was in rehab with Eric Clapton in 1987. He went in for his alcohol addiction. He has been clean since and opened up his own facility which I believe is in the Bahamas. He also sent his manager to the same treatment center for pain pill addiction. He is a strong advocate.
Avatar n tn Thanks for the reply. Actually at this time, he's not spending that much on drugs since he hasn't been able to find them. Most money goes to alcohol, probably about $400/month at the very most. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a big chunk of our income right now. When I was in the hospital in a coma, he spend about $5000 in one month on pills and alcohol. That's when I had some savings.
Avatar f tn t good....EVER! Mixing alcohol with pills, pot and uppers is dangerous too. He is a ticking time bomb, in my opinion. I hope he will get some help before it kills him. Best of luck! Keep us posted, ok?
