Adderall kidney problems

Common Questions and Answers about Adderall kidney problems

adderall

I have taken adderall on and off for 5 years. Honestly, it has been more on than off. I started buying it from a girl in class my junior year of highschool and am now a junior in college. I have smoked weed on and off since I was a freshman in highschool, again more on than off. I am trying to stop taking adderall currently because it is slowly ruining my life. My freshman year I took 60 mg a day and drank two redbulls (caffene interacts with adderall, intensifies it) I had a 3.
I crushed and snorted 6 - 30mg Adderall XR's in about an hour. I had no effects at all then suddenly they hit when I was walking to my bedroom and I got really light-headed and dizzy and my heart was beating really fast. I had to run to the couch cause I felt like I was gonna black-out. It went away as soon as I sat down. Its been over 12 hours since I've taken them but I still get the same effects when I stand up and my BP a few minutes ago was 75/51, im scared, what should I do?
Other causes are diabetes, hypothyroidism, low serum protein, kidney problems and severe anemia can all cause a weight gain. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
I am 23 years old and i have been taking adderall 30 mg xr once a day for years. First off, Adderall is the absolute worst drug you can take if you have anxiety. I myself have severe anxiety and OCD, and Adderall definitely makes my symptoms worse. I am surprised your doctors haven't tried to take you off of some of your medications.
I do appreciate any input, but I feel that if I am charged to speak with a physician, they should take the time to look at my questions and try to answer them if at all possible. I was curious about the effects of taking adderall had on motor neuron and glutamate function. I am currently in medical school and have been taking adderall for some time now and notice that when I am taking in caffeine along with adderall I experience muscle twitching within my arms, legs, and fingers.
However, it does not rule out the possibility of the blood in urine having originated in the upper urinary tract, such as the kidney or ureter. Adderall has not been reported to cause any significant renal complications or prostate-related abnormalities, so the causative factors may be alcohol abuse and/or masturbation, if too frequent. Hematuria, even if microscopic, needs medical evaluation if the number of cells are in excess of the normal number acceptable in urine.
The other is, have you ever been checked for diabetes or kidney problems?
I have a mild case of narcolepsy and a mild case of sleep apnea. I'm taking about 40-60mg of Adderall per day. I'm also taking Remeron 30mg and Klonopin 1mg for depression/anxiety issues related to my sleep problems. Also taking 40mg of Nexium right now for acid reflux problems. My last physical was in July 2007. I had blood and urine tests done, but everything came back normal. Although I didn't realize it, my erectile/urinary problems had already begun at this point.
I have complicating health issues along with the MS such as lupus and kidney desease so I'm my dr's challenge. My dr. is absolutely wonderful and I bless God for finding him for me.
I do have a history of back problems and I had severe Mononucleosis as a teenaeger, at which time my LFT's were extremely elevated. They returned to WNL not long after the bout with Mononucleosis and my most recent blood work came back very good. The only medication I am currently taking is Adderall for ADHD. Any info/insight you might have would be greatly appreciated.
I got the same thing when I was teaching, plus I got hungry and that made it worse. Did your PCP check heart, lung and kidney function? My kidney was obstructed for years and I didn't know, and it made me progressively more tired and weak bec I was losing kidney function. You MIGHT have a problem outside of stress, but it really sounds like stress. I have a hard time believing that in the middle of your teens you had no stress.
Dogs, cats, birds and other small mammals (ferrets, gerbils and hamsters) may develop serious stomach and intestinal ulcers as well as kidney failure. 2) Acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol) When it comes to pain medications, acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol) is certainly popular. Even though this drug is very safe, even for children, this is not true for pets—especially cats. One regular strength tablet of acetaminophen may cause damage to a cat’s red blood cells, limiting their ability to carry oxygen.

Collagen vascular diseases are not so likely (like lupus, sjogren's, etc) in the absence of other symptoms such as unexplained prolonged fevers, rashes, and kidney problems. I really think that you should not postpone the neurologist consult this time so that you can be assessed and be managed early. For now, be sure that you also get adequate rest and avoid too much stress (though I know that won't be easy).
5 years ago, I started having cycles of fatigue (every 4 to 5 months, I would experience 5-7 weeks of extreme, mono-like exhaustion - though I have never had mono) I have no family history, nor did I have any medical problems prior to this first symptom. This cycle continued, with the only other irregularity being a slightly low platelet count, fluctuating anywhere between 90 to 140.
I was put through cardio tests because of chest pains and papatations, barium enemas, GI series, , IVP for kidney problems, dentists for sores inside my mouth, neurologists for my headaches, orthopedists for my joint pains etc. My throat, neck, hips and groin area were constantly in pain. I was diagnosed with colitis even though my tests came back negative. (diagnosis based on symptoms) I ultimately suffered with panic attacks. This list goes on.
To make a very long story short, I am wondering if you have any idea if this sounds like POF or another disorder (Pituitary or Hypothalamus problems?) AND if you have any advice with regards to any next steps. Just to make things confusing, I've listed some other (possibly related) symptoms below.

I just can't handle it anymore. Dr. has me on Adderall for it, but that doesn't help either. I've tried various meds, none of which help me. I'm only 43 and a recent widow with a 14-year-old son; he is the only thing keeping me going at this point. I'm DESPERATE; can anyone shed some light? Thank you!
I do have a cyst on one of my kidney, also ruled as something to watch for now. I've noticed that I have begun to catch my right foot on the floor while walking, clench my hands unconsciously, run my tongue over my teeth repeatedly and even notice a lack of swing in my right arm when I walk from time to time. Short term memory loss seems to follow me as well. They have me on Zonisamide, Pravachol, Lisinopril, Ambien prn, Naproxen, and Soma for muscle spasms.
Also, what kind of general anesthesia would I be getting as I have a seizure disorder and take Tegretol XR twice a day at four hundred milligrams per pill? I also take Citalopram and Adderall at ten milligrams once a day for depression and attention deficit disorder. Thanks, I would appreciate a quick response to this question.
I was previously on SSRIs in college but hated them and won't take them. Depression and ADHD are both helped by my adderall (Been taking for 3 years 20mg in am and 15mg in afternoon daily PRN). I REALIZE that adderall is a stimulant and can cause tachycardia and high BP.. but I had never had hypertension or palpitations before now, and took my medication responsibly. Decided to hold of on wellbutrin until I talked to my psychiatrist.. she is more familiar with me and I trust her expertise.
I think he has learning disabilities because of all the problems at home, the trouble with his dad, his new brother, the problems with my daughters boyfriend and his struggling at school. What do you think and do you think I am over reacting. I want what is best for him, but I am worried about his future. Oh recently he stayed here for the day when he was suspended.
I took her to the doctor but I was told to only look for help if she started to have problems at school. Alicia was a brilliant child and never had low grades, only some kind of inability for making friends, but I guess it´s her shy personality. When she was 13/14, she started saying that many times a day she felt as if she was dreaming, as if her body was light and she felt creeps in her arms and legs.
I had tingling, bladder problems, terrible fine motor skills (FMS) especially in my hands, etc... It took about 6 months to regain most of my strength back.
You must really have a hard time getting around with these problems. My gait problems resolved after about 3-4 months. I can not imagine having it all the time. And, you are dx'd with fibro only at this point?
and my doctor said Xenical and Meridia cause really horrible bowel problems..... so Topamax was a good choice ... and as far as the aniexty is concerned and depression...I feel like a new person... I have more energy and I just can't explain it... everyone at work says...oh, did you color your hair... or did you get a makeover or something ?... have you lost weight... what's different .... Achieving an erection is pretty much impossible, and if I do, orgasm never happens. Anyone else out there with similar problems? I have been clean now for 2 months, and I want to limit what I take.
