actonel

This is such a weird thing for my brain to wrap itself around. Shelley - how come it take so much for this to be diagnosed and seems like it so ambiguous.. I mean how obvious to these symptoms have to be.. I think the only way for me to tell if I have symptoms is to take the medicine and see if I feel better.
How long should it take for Nexium to start giving pain relief? I have been on it about 5 days & still have bad heartburn. This is after trying Prevacid for three weeks with no relief. I am tired of hurting. Background: I am a 47 year old female. In April 2005, a number of non cancerous tumors were found in my abdomen and something was seen on my pancreas; I also threw a piulmonary embolism in that time.
One may develop some kind of intestinal problems with Actonel and the alternative to that is to not to take drug empty stomach, that is to take it after a meal. Please let us know if you may have nay other queries and what your doctor says. Good luck.
for how long should my mom take residornate sodium? how to decrease ALP to normal range? What are the precautions to be taken and is there any specific food ? She is not a known IHD/BA/ DM.
Good data on your Mg use -- I'm always interested in hearing what approaches others use. Depending on how far apart your Mg and other meds need to be, can you take meds 3x a day instead of 2x a day, so that you can spread out the Mg intake a bit more? -- such as 1/2 the Mg at 10pm, thyroid meds at 6am, then other half of Mg at 2pm -- or some other configuration that suits? Just a thought. A good pharmacist might have some ideas, or a naturopath, or your doc.
hi Lori, I take Fosomax.......How long have you been taking your meds?....Do you have any symptoms from osteo?.....I am 51, just found out I have it......Thank you so much for answering.
Before that I was put on Zoloft to control my anxiety and dizziness... I have been taking a lower dose of thyroid hormone to hopefully get my levels in normal range. But I have been taking Zoloft with everything... Is this common for me to expereince anxiety and this weird lightheadedness all the time!!!
I've ordered a Himalayan salt pipe for this and I PRAY TO GOD that I don't have any adverse reactions to it. I PRAY TO GOD that it works. With all this being said: Can anyone tell me if this condition has a name? What could I be suffering from? Is it simply an after effect from being on Salmeterol for 3 years (Advair)? Will it disappear after a time or will I have to learn to live with this for the rest of my life?
Hi again, yes they did go away - and almost immediately! It was a situation where my bone scan was debatable I think - one doc said bone loss, my new GP said Im simply smaller framed than the templates they use to measure..now I only take calcium D and workout a little harder...and my ENT tended to agree with that route, at least until my next scan. Also, ENT recommended that I sleep a bit upright on the pillow with head tilted - guess that helps too with reflux overnight.
I have severe osteoporosis and am trying to take Forteo. I started out with half dose and have worked up to a full dose. The full dose 2 days in a row was disabling. My doctor suggested every other day. So I let the previous trial work its way out of my system for 5 days and tried another full dose. This is three days after the dose and I am weaker each day. I move in slow motion. My doctor is puzzled. Anyone had a similar experience?
I feel like it has been a long time coming off the drugs. I have osteoporosis and have to take Actonel once a week. The drugs did a lot of damage to my bones but maybe this drug will help reverse it. I feel like I've aged a lot since taking the Hep c drugs for a year. But atleast I'm clear... I still have depression a lot and I'm still on Wellbruten xl -- Effexor works better but bad with the sex drive... Hubby was not happy with me.
You might want to ask your pharmacist for more specific directions as far as the timing of your meds. I take Actonel once a month and my pharmacist said it was fine to take it at the same time as my levothyroxine since Actonel is also supposed to be taking first thing in the morning. Don't mix meds unless you get an all clear from a pharmacist.
Only, my gerd doesn't cause me any problems as long as I take my meds. I feel like this is never going to get better! I get so tired of having to take Levbid. It does help with the pain but it makes me feel so bad and makes my vision so blurry I can't see anything! I feel like I had my gb removed for nothing you know? But, what do you do? It seems that abdominal problems can be very hard to dx. and also hard to live with. Thanks again. How often do you have these "attacks"?
Hello, Oophorectomy has long term consequences mostly from the hormonal effects of the surgery. You can take short term hormone replacement therapy with estrogen. Non-hormonal biphosphonates (such as Fosamax and Actonel) increase bone strength and are available as once-a-week pills. These can also be taken. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
At the time, I was weaning myself off of Zoloft and now am completely off. I only take Premarin, Actonel-have osteopenia, my bp pill and vitamins. Since I have been taking the Levothyroxin and off the Zoloft, I can't stand myself.
Because I've been turned down for closure because my MVP is measured to be mild, I am thinking of going to India to have it done. Is there a way to look into hospitals and doctors there?
I don't want to have my joints deterioriate and not be able to do the things I love. I don't want my diseases to affect my internal organs and take my life away. Plaquenil can save and extend your life. Please consider taking your doctor's advice. I'd rather be alive, in less pain, and happy.
I was put into clinicial menopause when I was approx 41 yrs old. I can't remember what it was, it was just a monthly shot in the butt and I had to take progestreon every other month to induce my period, which I hemoraged terribly. This lasted a year and I can't seem to remember anything good about the whole process. I always remembered that my PMS peaked every 3 mths which was deadly for me and anyone around me, I could kill!.
If so, is it possible to take medication or use other treatments to get my hormones back to normal without having to take a pill that will mess with my body every day for the rest of my life?
Hi, How are you? Exposure to asbestos may lead to conditions that may last for a long period of time. People may be exposed to asbestos in their workplace, their communities, or their homes. Asbestos fibers are trapped in the lungs and remain there for a long time. They can accumulate, cause scarring and inflammation which can also affect breathing and other conditions.
I take Caltrate but you must take it with food so that it will be absorbed properly. If you take Citracal you can take without food ofcourse but you have to take more of them to equal what Caltrate would be. That is what the pharmacist told me. I have done well on Caltrate. Also be sure that you space your Caltrate or Citracal out at different intervals during the day because your body won't absorb it all at once.
My pcp tells me that its related to my osteopisis (probably speeled way wrong). I take actonel and celebrex. Thats all they can do to help. Neurontin doesn't touch it. Aspirin, ibuprophen, tylenol, excederine, aleve none of em help I have tried splitting my sleep into 2 shifts. Kinda helps but it screws up any awake time. Also sleeping on a heating pad helps a little when it gets worse. I figured I had arthritis. Maybe I do. 34 feels too young to feel this old.
I am lost and confused, what is going on? I have 2 kids to take care of and a husband with cancer I need to take care of things and I need to be able to work. Can someone.... anyone... please help me?!?!?!? I don't have ins. so I can not go back to my doctor. I just don't know what to do.
At age 26 I didn't know any better but to listen to my doctor and take it. It wasn't until a few years ago that I tried to get off of it and I had bad side effects so I stayed on it. This time my new gyno that I really like put me on a patch and Remar it is Vivelle Dot and it's working very well. I am so upset because 2 1/2 years ago I became ill. I have lupus. I am having a very hard time with it as it has attacked my heart and then my lungs in the short 2 1/2 years I have had it.
By the way - if you are having bone loss, it always seems like a good idea to take Calcium. Make sure you don't have a malfunctioning parathyroid - because excess calcium from pills etc. can give you a heart attack or stroke along with organ damage and kidney stones. Be very careful. Checking calcium is easy and fairly cheap. And if you have a parathyroid problem, do NOT take vitamin D.
Not sure if I can inject myself if I had too. With the Methotrexate tablets how long did it take before you started to feel the effects and the injects is that something you will be taking for rest of your life. My biggest hurdle seems to be at the present time trying to find a way that I can control Crohn's wether that be through diet or medication.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
So, everyone is different on what they can take. Try a low dose of Prednisone for a while, just to get it to stop any activity of the autoimmune problems. Low doses won't hurt you that much at all. Advil is not good for your stomach either. But....celebrex isn't so bad, not as bad as aleve and advil for your stomach. But if it works for you, just eat yogurt before you take the advil. If it works, I say take it. Yogurt or whole milk to coat your tummy! Awesome stuff! Good luck.
I think I have tried 3 other forums but thought I would try here as I am at my wits end. Whatever I " don't" have continues to get worse. This all started 4 years ago and is too long a story to tell here. I have seen a number of specialists and still no answers. Now I am miserable 24/7. I have chronic dry mouth and throat ( tests for GERD and Sjorgens are negative). I keep saying the tissue in my mouth, palate and tongue don't feel right.
give you Budesonide when your having a flare up or do you take it like Asacol on a regular basis to control Crohn's? I'm so afraid to take prednisone again, I didn't like how I had so many side effect with it. I have been hearing a lot about Methotextrate (thats what you meant by mtx, right?) All the things I have heard are good. Q: Do you take mtx on a reg. basis? From what it sounds like you do but just checking. Q: Do you have any side effects from mtx? If yes, what kind of side effects?
