Common Questions and Answers about Acne cream epiduo

acne

Avatar n tn He started me with acanya and then gave epiduo a try (acne became bad on my forehead). Went back to him and he prescribed me epiduo with solodyn. After a few weeks i had tiny red spots on my face and huge pimples. I tried proactive as well and that didnt work. After that i told him the situation over the phone and he said to continue the solodyn with epiduo. i did for another month and nothing happened. He now switced me to cephalaxin and i have been on it for about three days.
Avatar m tn Hey! It has been a week, and I have not applied the epiduo at all, so I think this must be allergies or something. Could someone have allergies that cause swelling for 1-2 constant months (In this situation, the eye bags)? What else could be causing the eye bags?
Avatar m tn ve read various reviews on using hydrocortisone cream for the face with people stating it thins out your skin and worsens acne symptoms. I feel the Clindamycin is acceptable, but I am wondering if it is safe to use the hydrocortisone cream or if I should substitute it with desonide OR just skip those two ointments altogether? I don't mind using Differin by itself if it comes down to it.
Avatar f tn I had gone to the dermatologist for acne issues and she gave me epiduo and a skin bleaching cream for dark spots that the pimples can cause afterwards. I had gotten pimples on my upper lip and instead of putting skin cream on the spot I put it on my whole lip and I think that made it worse cuz I did it almost everyday.
Avatar n tn PLeas some one help me I went to the dermatologist for back acne, I really didnt have acne on my face but the a Dr said I might benefit from epiduo gel. she told me to use 5% benzel peroxide in the morning and epiduo gel, at night.
Avatar n tn I'm a junior in high school and I have severe acne scars on my nose. It's been awhile since I've had them, since before freshman year. I've been able to withstand walking around with such a face so far but recently I'm getting more self conscious. I'm about to go to college in just a few more years - I don't want to still have these hideous marks on my nose. My whole face is scarred but my nose is the most severe and disgusting.
Avatar f tn Within the last couple of months, I have developed this facial rash on my forehead, checks, and along my jawline. It is similar to a breakout, however, the bumps are small and never develop into a whitehead or black head. Basically, these small bumps form under the skin and just stay there. They are the most severe along my jawline. They are not red, irritated, or itchy, however, they make the texture of my skin very rough. If you squeeze them, white junk oozes out.
Avatar n tn Three and a half years ago i used Epiduo on my forehead, temples and nose. I did expose to 45 mins of morning sun without spf. My skin turned red, then brown. The inflamation/irritation still persists. I can feel the skin thicker (like inflamed skin feels like) when i raise my eyebrows. The area looks brown. It becomes more red when i touch it. Texture on those areas is different and the skin is a little raised.
Avatar f tn I had a cortisone injection for a cyst near my eye 2 weeks ago and it seems to be coming back today! Theres a small bump on where it was injected and i hv been putting epiduo on it. Will the epiduo help to make it flat?
Avatar m tn I applied cetaphil oil control foam wash to it and only the first night, epiduo forte to it. Since then the what seems like an acne breakout is slowly going away and the bumps and swelling on the left side of my scrotum is what to me seems like it is gone. Before this weekend, I had been using Gold Bond Men's Essentials Body Powder Spray on my scrotum and the base of my penis because I'm very active and sweat a lot.
Avatar n tn I am a 28 year old male who has been struggling with infected facial hairs and hairs that grow under the surface of the skin for over 5 years. Many times there will be this waxy buildup around the follicle and then the skin is red around it. They will only heal once the follicle and waxy buildup are removed as I have left them in for over a month and they do not heal on their own but rather get worse if not removed.
Avatar f tn I went to a dermatologist back in Feb pre-prego and she gave me epiduo which worked better than anything however I had to stop once I found out I was pregnant...I just went back to her and she told me to use CeraVe foaming cleanser and she also gave me a safe prescription called Finacea...I have yet to use it because the CeraVe is working so well. I always had problems with zits and my Doctor is the only one that cured me.
Avatar f tn My dermatologist has given me a prescription for Doxycycline as well as Epiduo Gel, which was not covered by my insurance and so i was not able to get that. It seems to me that there are some similarities between this antibiotic and Accutane. Maybe not as severe side effects but the overall impression I am getting is that Accutane is more effective and if closely monitored, safer. Is this true? My doctor didnt give me the impression that there was much I needed to be worried about.
Avatar n tn Apply OTC benzoyl peroxide to the face to reduce the oiliness. Apply an antibiotic cream such as erythromycin (erytop) and vitamin A based cream on pimples. Avoid eating oily stuff and Drink 3-4 liters of water a day. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Avatar f tn Anyone having issues with acne during pregnancy? I already had acne but now it has tripled. I get pimples out of no where. I ready benzoyl peroxide isn't good to use but that's what I'm using. What products are ladies using?
Avatar f tn all over my face cheeks and chest...Is there anything can I do to remove it or reduce it other than medications or acne cream because my doctor did not advise me to apply any acne cream during this trimister..but it bothers me alot..
Avatar f tn I have never had acne my whole Life! Now that im pregnant iv had horrible acne. It started from the very beginning, and im 17 weeks!! What do can I do?
1670004 tn?1333864841 is it a cream?? If so i used a cream through my 1st trimester when my acne was bad.
Avatar n tn azelaic acid 20% cream; salicylic acid 1–2% cream or gel; alpha hydroxy acid preparation; trichloroacetic acid 10–20% peel. You can visit a Dermatologist as to which treatment is suitable for you. Keep me informed if you have any queries. Bye.
Avatar f tn No cortisone cream is for like itchy irritated skin. It helps sooth and heal it. My I do use apricot scrub for my acne it helps. And put a good lotion on after. If you have acne all over your body you could buy a bar soap that has benzoyl peroxide in it. And wash you body with it. It kind of dries your skin out so you want to make sure you have some good lotion.
Avatar n tn If you used an anti-acne cream regularly for some period of time and if this is occurring soon after you stopped using the cream, then it may be that the cream has made your skin very very dry, probably made worse by the cold climate. I was prescribed acne cream (can't remember what it was exactly) from my doctor and I found that if I used it every day, after a week my skin would be extremely dry and sore.
1155893 tn?1263018015 Hello, Tretinoin or Retin A is the acidic form of vitamin A. it is used for acne as well as post inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by acne scars after acne. You can use it as advised by your dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I am now 9 weeks and my acne is awful. Cyst like, hard, painful ones that take weeks to go away! Now I can't use my retinA cream. Anyone else have tips to relieve this?
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis (in December 2007) and have recently be suffering with acne on my face (chin/ mouth area). I have been given Acuatim cream to use twice a day, and have been told that I should take oral antibiotics if the cream doesn`t work. Every acne antibiotic I review on the neet suggests that they can cause coltis (pseudomembranous?), so I am concernd as to what oral medication I can take? Any other colitis sufferers out there taking oral acne treatment?
