My 23 year old daughter was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis several years ago. One of the symptoms she developed was cystic acne, which we were told can be caused by the colitis. She's presently on Liadyl and her ulcerative colitis is under control but the cystic acne will not go away. She goes to the dermatologist constantly for injections, but the cysts just go down for a day and come right back up again. The dermatologist has given her a few prescriptions but nothing helps at all.

Wow! I can't believe I stumbled on this information. I have been going crazy for the past 6 months trying to figure out why my breasts have had a rash, they are constantly itchy and blotchy. I just figureed it was dry skin, new detergent, cream...trying everything, but nothing worked. How horrifying to find out there may be formaldehyde in the bras. I'm not a doctor but I have heard that the nerves can be desensitized from trama, leaving you unable to feel when you have to go. I think Ulcerative colitis probably can be very tramatic. My cousin's son had a blockage from constipation and he experienced the same thing when his colon streched to allow the bowel movement to go around the blockage. I have a NEW G.I. doc who keeps referring me to a colonoscopy and an MRCP before she decides to do anything but I've had a flare-up of UC for a month and need some relief. Today I saw a whole Asacol HD tablet excreted and the G.I.doc said "that's ok--it's still absorbed." Ok--so now I must be reasonable and ask a question as how is it absorbed when NONE OF IT--repeat, NONE OF IT---is degraded at all? This woman doesn't get it. Anyway, what should I do now?

But literally I am not eating any spicy food or fibre food. I want to know the diet plan.I really lost weight. I have a new problem past 2 weeks. Every morning around 6.30 am or so i have a contracting pain in my lower left ribs. It's very stabbing and also I have lower back pain.
