I'm not sure if it's the Abilify or not... I'd been taking it for over a month, and all of a sudden stuff starts popping up. I should also mention I have flares of some sort of 'immune dysfunction' (doc's non-specific, non-helpful diagnosis), so it may be that? I'm also running an odd low-grade fever. Nice.
I am dry. Dry dry dry. My eyes BURN. My mouth is sticky. Every part of my body is DRY. I'm drinking all the time. Almost to the point of ridiculousness.
Have you had these symptoms checked out by your GP? Abilify does cause shaking and tremors, and just because your psychiatrist hasn't seen these side effects doesn't mean they aren't being caused by the Abilify. I doubt the Abilify is doing much to help you, it's rare to get this many years out of one medication as our bodies build up a tolerance to these types of medications.
my doctor has given to me abilify and wellbutrin, is it good for quit smoke and go school well?
i cant go school well. i cant stay in classroom. even i cant go to school. i always want to stay at home. i am out of my home, i quickly want to go back my house. also i smoke 3 packet cigarette in a day. also i have serious sleep disorder.
i explained my problems to my doctor. then he gave me wellbutrin and abilify combination. what do you think about it?
I started lamectal about 2 months ago and take abilify and trazadone as well. I have lost my hair significantly in the past 2 months. I take Lamectal twise a day 150 mg. Abilify 15 mg & 50 mg of trazadone. I also take 1mg of klonipin as needed. Could any of these be causing it - a combination? Any suggestions? Depression will never go away if I am bald. Please help. I would like to discontinue the one that is causing this.
I was taking this medication last August and still have the memory and concentration problems as of now. The problems have not gone away much, I would say only 50% better and it is still bad.
I went to an Emory psychiatrist but they have just put me on Seroquel as of yesterday. I have stopped taking that today and while I was on it I felt very numb and could not feel emotions and I was very drowsy.
I took Abilify and Effexor (seperately) as well, Abilify was the last drug aimed at controling my largely depressive BP. It made me feel blah, less deeply depressed, but it gave me the rare side effect of blurred vision! It was taking a dosage of Effexor which gave me my first flamingly manic episode and caused me to be rediagnosed from severe depression to BP.
I've been taking zyprexa for almost 6 months and am still suffering side effects. I get blurred vision and fogginess which makes it hard to concentrate. I'm sleepy all of the time and could fall asleep at my desk if I could. I've had bipolar disorder for 10 years and have never been sleepy all of the time. In the past, prior to this medicine, I've always had troubles sleeping. Does anyone else have the same problems as me?
If you're taking a med that doesn't work and makes you feel worse, tell you psychiatrist and move on. Abilify has only been approved for cases of depression where nothing else has worked because of its side effect profile, so if it isn't helping you, have your psychiatrist properly take you off it. Meds affect people differently, and this one apparently doesn't agree with you.
Abilify worked for stress, but it still had mental side effects, such as stuttering, and not thinking or understanding clearly, social anxiety, weight gain, and I cried all the time and I only liked sad things. And Abilify made me have limited interests. What kept me on abilify, was the increased interest for the limited interests that Abilify made me had. I've always loved animation, but Abilify increased that, and I was obsessed with animation.
I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
t make any sense is that I am no longer taking Abilify and Im still having these problems and here all along we thought that Abilify was the one causing these allergic reactions

As far as having mood swing, depression and etc well everything is great and I have had no problem with that the only problem Im having is abnormal facial movements, trouble swallowing, dry mouth, a little trouble breathing and
I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come
I am also diagnosed with both ADHD and BP. I have been on Abilify which did nothing for my ADHD and only moderately affected my BP. Abilify isn't prescribed for ADHD. It's whole purpose (as far as I am aware) is to treat BP. I had a very rare side effect of blurred vision as well with it which is why I eventually went off of it.
At one point I was on both Effexor and Abilify, then my doctor took me off the Effexor. I have done fine on Abilify alone - but that is me. Did your doctor put you on all 3 of these meds at once - or at different times, in response to symptoms you were having? I would speak with your M.D. at your next visit and tell him or her that you don't want to be on so much medication. See what he or she says. I always prefer to side with the doctor when it comes to this sort of thing.
