Avatar f tn Try taking home remidies like plain water steam, twice a day, it gives awesome results for cold, cough and watery eyes. This is free from any side effects. I do this all the time.
Avatar n tn Both are mainly used in treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Headache and drowsiness are side effects seen with loratidine. Whereas headache and vomiting with fexofenadine. Both are quiet safe and any one can be used for which consult your local health care provider. Take care and regards.

Avatar m tn From that point forward the meds will proceed to work their way out of her system. Side effects from these meds seem to vary from person to person. Water and lemon is a great cleanser for the system. If your sisters mucus concerns continue to develop, it is prudent to check in with her doctor about this. Glad to hear your sister is otherwise been doing well.
Avatar n tn I switched from Claritin to Zyrtec this allergy season and was wondering is Zyrtec was too much for me thus giving me these side effects, I just googled zyrtec side effects and they are dizziness, tiredness, lightheaded, headaches, etc....so I think I might try going back to Claritin to see if this helps, i am so sick of feeling off!!
Avatar m tn Both Allegra and Zyrtec are 24 hour medications in my area. I have known several people who took 3 Zyrtec in one day, and my allergist says that you can't really OD on antihistimines. You should be sure to drink PLENTY of water and watch for signs of constipation and dehydration. You should make sure that your dr is well aware of how much of these meds you are taking to make sure that they are ok with any other medications you maybe taking.
Avatar n tn Hi, You could consult a skin specialist and try some local application steroid creams and moisturizers if anti-histamine medications cause side effects in your case. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema.
Avatar f tn “Tell your doctor if you regularly use other medicines that make you sleepy (such as other cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression, or anxiety). They can add to sleepiness caused by Zyrtec. This medication can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol.
Avatar n tn Head tremors could be also a side-effect, as it is consistent with the possible side effects presented with the use of Singulaire, however, not directly listed itself as one, but rather linked to one ( seizures, dizziness, headaches, etc). It should be reported to your prescribing Doctor immediately. Please offer more details such as reasons for taking it and other symptoms. There may be better options available. Take care.

Avatar m tn Cyclosporin has fewer side effects than steroids, but because it is still an immunosuppressive drug, regular physical examinations with labwork should be performed in pets on long term treatment. Potential side effects include vomiting and diarrhea, and more rarely skin or internal infections and benign growths on the skin or gums. Allergy Testing and Desensitization: Allergy testing is performed in atopic pets to indicate which allergens are to be included in a hyposensitization vaccine.
Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
454221 tn?1259445739 m not sure of all the side effects. I do know that Zyrtec makes my children raving lunatics and that side effect was not on the bottle.
Avatar n tn Hi, Simvastatin is generally well-tolerated and side effects are rare. Minor side effects include constipation, diarrhea, fatigue, gas, heartburn, and headache. Major side effects include abdominal pain or cramps, blurred vision, dizziness, easy bruising or bleeding, itching, muscle pain or cramps, rash, and yellowing of the skin or eyes. ref:http://www.medicinenet.com/simvastatin/article.htm This could be an allergic reaction to the drug. It will stop if the drug is withdrawn.
1517808 tn?1290813790 My doctor also told me about Plaquenil, which was a medication for lupus patients but also works well with my condition. However, the Plaquenil is known for some side effects that could lead to retinal spotting, so regular eye exams are required and he recommends not taking it for extensive periods of time. I hope this helps!

Avatar f tn Guess what - they work better than Advair, are cheaper (even though not covered by insurance) and have no side effects. I also take Zyrtec (an over-the-counter antihistamine) or Benadryl. Advair has a good PR program, with side effects given short shrift.
