Yikes, you wanna counteract the coke by giving her another drug? Take the advice above, don't be messing around with this. Your hanging around her all coked out like this? Have you used cocaine? What was the medical treatment for, an overdose? Sorry for questions, i just don't understand this post. She won't quit till she's ready and you don't wanna be around someone coming off coke.

My sister was diagnosed with mood disorder a few weeks ago and was recommended to take Zyprexa (2 pills/day) for 6 weeks to treat it. She took the medicine for 2 weeks and left it without the doctor's recommendation as she used to feel too exhausted and she thought that her emotions were under her control now. After a week of leaving the medicine, she slowly became hyper and even sucidal.

After many years of tackling treatment-resistant depression, I gave into my doctor's advice and tried Zyprexa, an antipsychotic. Three days later, I felt normal again...a feeling so wonderful I can't put it into words. Give them a try and you may be surprised. Personally, I am not a fan of EITHER of those meds for the treatment of anxiety. Zyprexa is an anti-psychotic and can be used as an adjunct treatment (along with an antidepressant) in treatment of depression and anxiety that hasn't responded well to just an antidepressant. Again, just in my humble opinion, I think there are better options out there, especially to START with. Have you tried any other medication? Therapy? How long have you had anxiety issues?

hi, im a 23yr old woman who experienced her first episode in october last year, i was at first on 20mg of zyprexa and 1000 mg of epilim when i was in the hospital, and have slowly come down to 1.25 mg of zyprexa and 200mg epilim, been on the 1.25 mg of zyprexa for around a week now and want to reduce further, any advice on how to get down to nothing without going mental! went cold turkey off the meds in nov last year and it didnt go too well.

I understand all that, suffered from psychosis for years. I know all about the treatments. If you read my post you'll see that I merely wanted psychosis in general added to the symptom list. Since I'm using Zyprexa as a treatment I wanted that added to the list of treatments.

I am not anxious, paranoid or depressed now but I cannot sleep without taking gabapentin (I am never tired or sleepy, there are other people describing a situation similar to mine after stop taking Zyprexa). I am worry, because the same way Zyprexa can make people have diabetes, it can permanently disrupt other psychological process in the brain an produce this chronic insomnia. Simple question can you take two anti-pyschotic medications at once? And if you can is it better than an a anti-depressant for a mixed mood? - this is because i am on seroquel for anxiety and sleep and i don't want to come off it but i have the choice of going on venlfaxine or zyprexa so if i chose zyprexa would i have to come off the seroquel. My psychiatrist has just added Zyprexa to take with Prozac as the Prozac is not working like it used to work.I'm worried about the weight gain with Zyprexa, is there something else that could be used with the Prozac instead? Also until now I've also been taking 1 mg. Ativan in the morning and 1 mg Ativan before bed. Is it safe to use Ativan with the Zyprexa?

My son is stopping zyprexa because he said it has never helped his depression. He is on 2.5 mg a day. He went off each pill one week at a time because he gets dangerous withdrawl symptomsms. He is off a pill on friday, saturday and monday. He is still on the 2.5 mg of zyprexa on tuesday, wednesday, thursday and sunday. Which would be the next pill to get off of? I started with Depakote 500mg. I was also on an IV treatment called DHE IV for the past 4 days, every 8 hours. I went into the Infusion department at the hospital at 8am Friday morning. Had the lovely IV put in me and then the meds started. I was given Raglan to stop nausea, then the DHE was injected into Sodium "something" (sp?) drip and then was on a 20min drip. By Sat evening, there was no change, had my constant headache.
