zyprexa nausea

It has been about a month since I have totally stopped zyprexa and I still have nausea (but it is manageable) and tons of itching. The doc suggested I try it again - that itching/nausea are a sign of stress. I.will.never.take.this.drug.again.

Hi, I am experiencing burning feet,skin sensitivity and pains in my hands and feet during Zyprexa withdrawal,I`ve been on Zyprexa for 6 years and off it for about 5 months now.Please let me know if the burning feet and all other symptoms will go away with time? I have had four months of nausea and dizziness because my dr. took me off Zyprexa and put me on another med. I thought my symptoms were from withdrawal but he said that I shouldn't experience withdrawal from Zyprexa, especially since the new drug, Seroquel, was in the same class. So I was told I had an inner ear problem for the last four months and have been suffering through these symptoms.

Hi I would like to know if after three years of taking low doses of sertraline 25 mg and 2.5 mg of Zyprexa the nausea and dizziness I feel can be due to the discontinuation of the meds. I was prescribed due to a depresion an chronic anxiety conduct. I also experience a bbit of tingling in my hands and feet that goes on and off switching around.

i am taking citalopram and zyprexa for depression. i am on vicodin for shoulder pain. since i have been on the pills i have not needed my pain pillls. i am wondering if anyone has experienced this. did the depression cause my pain? i have not had any bad side affects on the zyprexa. in fact i have so much energy now. i tend to get into deep depression so bad i can hardly get out of bed. i have been taking the zyprexa for about 4 weeks now. the doctor put me on since my citalopram needed a boost.

In January of this year I began using Zyprexa for bipolar and psychosis. After 5 months of using the medication (20mg daily) I began experiencing some sexual side effects such as a dry orgasm, low sperm count, etc. - all of which were unexplainable. My psychiatrist asked that i stop the zyprexa immediately as it was causing an increase in prolactin levels, he asked that i stop the drug COLD TURKEY! (no weaning off) - When I stopped the medication, i did not sleep for 4 days.

My son is experiencing 7.5 mg zyprexa withdrawel I believe. He has been in bed on and off for 4 days with headache and very sick to stomach. How long with this go on????? What can help the stomach???? He has only been on this med for 3 months. I would hate to see what someone on this for years would go through!

Hi there... Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you are in for one hell of a ride. I was on Zyprexa which is in the same class of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. You should have never been prescribed this for sleep. It is primarily used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorders and are commonly called mood stabilizers. I was prescribed Zyprexa for GAD or general anxiety disorder and told it was a good non addictive choice since I wanted of benzo's like xanax.

My psychiatrist has just added Zyprexa to take with Prozac as the Prozac is not working like it used to work.I'm worried about the weight gain with Zyprexa, is there something else that could be used with the Prozac instead? Also until now I've also been taking 1 mg. Ativan in the morning and 1 mg Ativan before bed. Is it safe to use Ativan with the Zyprexa?

I would ask to see the studies and protocols for the efficacy of this particular drug coming off of benzos. I also find it a red flag that your Dr. prescribed Ambien when you expressed a wish to wean off Benzos and Benzo-type drugs.

I have been on BP meds for several years. About a year ago I was diagnosed as diabetic. I've heard that the zyprexa and others like it can cause high blood sugar. Diabetes also runs on both sides of my family. Are there any mood stabilizers out there that don't cause Diabetes? I like the Zyprexa because it works really well for me. I guess I am just wondering if there is anyone else out there like me?

placed me on Abilify and my heart palpitation was so severe that I had to go back on Zyprexa. I am taking 1.5 mg of kolonopin for anxiety and 2.5 mg of zyprexa now.Tried to cut out the medication completely but my simptoms returned so I can't do without any medication. Are there any other medication in the market that is similar to Zyprexa that would not effect my liver enzyme? Used Efexor but had heart palpitation.

I'm withdrawing from Zyprexa, Abilify, Ativan and sertraline. It's been three weeks and I've had terrible nausea, stomach pain, fatigue, and generally not feeling good. How long will this last? And, any ideas on how to deal with mania since I can't just "knock myself out" like usual? I need to get enough sleep to stay out of the hospital!

I'm bp, been on Zyprexa for 5 yrs off and on, gained weight of course, and know that it has tons of other side effects. But I know Depakote is not without side effects either -- like constipation, liver damager etc. What's worse? Plus, I know it causes weight gain also. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Now, I'm on zyprexa 5mg then increase to 10 mg. Zyprexa instead of Syroquil. Also, monitoring my WBCs to avoid it's down again. The goal is to prevent high mood first then manage and control low mood. My mood include high, low, and mixed moods. Thank you for your time, answer, and help.

I was wondering if anyone on this website is taking zyprexa for racing thoughts and irritability. I started taking it in December for these symptoms but I have put on weight taking this drug. I am not sure if it is the drug itself or if my appetite has increased. In anycase, I am really depressed about this and am thinking of switching medications or just getting off the zyprexa itself. I am also taking 20 mg. of lexapro and this has not caused a past weight gain. Please help!

I took Zyprexa 5mg for 3 nights only to help with sleep, but have not taken it for 2 nights. Had really difficulty getting to sleep and my sleep was really broken up. Is this normal for this med.

hi, im a 23yr old woman who experienced her first episode in october last year, i was at first on 20mg of zyprexa and 1000 mg of epilim when i was in the hospital, and have slowly come down to 1.25 mg of zyprexa and 200mg epilim, been on the 1.25 mg of zyprexa for around a week now and want to reduce further, any advice on how to get down to nothing without going mental! went cold turkey off the meds in nov last year and it didnt go too well.

It was not getting any better, really it was very severe and I became like a skeleton and very irrational. I changed to a top pshychiatrist she gave me anti psychotic zyprexa 5 mg +anti depressant + wham within 4 days I was completely normal! Now for maintenance (3years down the line) I just take 1.25 mg zyprexa with low dose antidepressant, it keeps me completely stable.

I went a few months without any medication, before receiving a prescription for Geodon. GEODON IS A TERRIBLE DRUG.

My doctor has put me on Lamictal 25mg in the morning with my usual morning dose of Efexor 150mg.
