Zyprexa and liver function

Common Questions and Answers about Zyprexa and liver function

zyprexa

Avatar m tn What you have is probably brain fog and it can be due to several causes like liver dysfunction (get liver enzymes done—liver function test), kidney dysfunction (get kidney function test done), and anemia. Poor sleep pattern and sleep problems like sleep apnea too can cause brain fog. You may sleep your customary 8-10 hours, feel fresh and yet have a sleep problem. Sleep studies by sleep specialists can help diagnose this. Low Vit D or Vit B12 too could be the cause.

1032715 tn?1315984234 Keep drinking and using and it will eventually give up. I had high readings and was hospitalised for liver damage but it eventually recovered after I stopped drinking. Worrying about it is a futile act, stick to your recovery plan, don’t drink or use and when the time comes have the necessary tests then deal with things as your doctor recommends.

Avatar f tn I had an aunt who died from liver cancer and her liver function tests were normal until the end stages. However, it is common to have cysts in the liver and fatty areas that aren't a problem. When I was dx they found a hemangioma in my liver and another cyst and there were two cysts in my kidneys. Before my surgery, I thought this must indicate cancer had spread there only to find out that most of us do have some sort of cyst congenitally or as we age. My dr.

I couldnt believe it when my Dr said it. I could definitely get used to hearing that! Add to all that the fact that my side effects are minimal. Avatar f tn We successfully got him off of the Zoloft, and have gotten him down to 3.75mg of Zyprexa, 50mg Vistiril, and have not started taking him off of the Clonidine (he takes this at night to help him sleep). He is having a very hard time with withdrawls from the Zyprexa, and I am concerned that he could have severe reactions if we take him off to fast. He started off taking 7.5 mg 4 times a day. We got him down to 7.5 once a day fairly easy, but when we tried to go down to the 3.
Avatar m tn Hello everyone. So a little backstory first. I was diagnosed with Graves disease back in 2013-2014. I was put on the methimazole + beta blocker treatment. I went into remission around 2016, when all my labs were normal. So I stopped the meds. Then, March of 2018, Graves was back with a vengeance. All the telltale signs were back, the excessive heat and heart palpitations, I went back to the doctor and back on drug treatment. This time, however, the meds doesn't work whatsoever.

1326572 tn?1275500911 I have early RA, just got the latest blood work back. My liver and blood count look great but my doc said my kidney function is slightly off. The creatinine is high at 1.09 and the GFR is low at 54. I was occasionally taking ibuprofen but have stopped completely now. I'm also on mtx, folic acid, norco for pain and also xanax. The doc said she wasn't too worried but she wants to watch it. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same sort of thing.
Avatar f tn It works well but weight gain can sometimes be an issue so keep your diet to a normal amount and see what happens. Do ask your doctors to look this up and give you full information. They can give you the facts.

My friend is pretty much self-medicating himself using a therapists help for prescriptions, and I'm worried about the interactions/addictiveness. Just so you know, he's 42 and was diagnosed with schizophrenia 11 years ago; hence, the zyprexa.

It's been incredibly difficult because I've grown so incredibly attached to my bear and Jack.

Avatar m tn well stopping like that might be very very dangerous. the first mistake is the use of telbivudine, it is not a first line therapy since genetic barrier is too weak and resistance can arise, if you have resistance or develop it now that youstopped drug all other dugs will respond less and develop resistance soon your feelings are about myopathy which is a side common to telbivudine but has nothing to do with the liver, it is a nervous system problem.
Avatar m tn do not indicate the amount of liver damage or how well the liver can function. ALT and AST measure enzymes that liver cells release in response to damage or disease. Since you have a low level of inflammation of the liver (2) it is possible for these levels to be within norm as your disease progresses.. Many persons with extensive liver damage (cirrhosis) can have normal LFTs until the liver is unable to function properly. (decompensated cirrhosis).
