Zyprexa and hepatitis

Common Questions and Answers about Zyprexa and hepatitis

Avatar n tn Personally I have kind of dropped off of it because I feel it makes me MORE groggy and withdrawn than helping. But then I am disgusted with feeling so tired and down and in pain BUT I'm not depressed about it at all. It's a nuisance but expected and I try to look at it that way. I hope you find the answers that you need. when I was new I posted questions so fast and furiously it was beyond words. You've come to the right place. Nobody ever seems to mind and they are just SO helpful!
Avatar n tn Yes, that does help me understand somewhat. Thank you. My gastroenterologist recently entertained the idea that my severe neurological "spells" (epidsodes of increasing talkativeness, which progresses to uncharacteristic rage, inability to read/write, not knowing where I am, ending with fatigue and drowsiness) may be caused by hepatic encephalopathy.
Avatar f tn I also had test come back clear for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and hepatitis. After talking to my psychiatrist they put me on Gabapentin, for my bipolar, anxiety and pain. It has helped fairly well so far, but I still have a little anxiety, and pain sometimes. It hasn't been a super wonder drug, or a cure by any means, but so far it has alleviated my symptoms by 50-75%. I have only been on it three days now. I am very sorry about your pain, and I hope you get it figured out soon.

And if you did have such extreme feelings of depression and still do I would suggest working on getting help for it even if you don't feel you should be hospitalized because that would indicate that things are wrong. You have to understand its not a matter of trust. There are regulations. It happenned to me once before recovery. But I can't say they did the wrong thing.
700212 tn?1240764420 Olanzapine (Zyprexa),Quetiapine (Seroquel),Risperidone (Risperdal),Clozapine (Clozaril) and aripiprazole (Abilify), Though Seroquel, Abilify and Zyprexa from other studies I have seen, are more affective then Clozaril. Third Anti-Depressants, AD's for short. These are generally used 3rd if the MS and AP drugs don't work. There is hesitancy in the literature in using these drugs because they can be activating (causes mania and worsened anxiety).
Avatar n tn Seems like most docs interven at around 500. My was a little more aggressive and steped in at 1000. Goofy said in the last few days that he was down around 250 or so. The stuff works pretty quick and gets the ANCs back up in a day or two. It great that someone left some unused stuff. The retail price, before ins, is about $600. There is also a pegylated version, called Neulasta, which lasts longer but is more expensive and gave me bone/muscle pain.

Avatar n tn Hi Fatboy (sorry about that, but that's how i got to know you many moons ago!)_ I am very, very well, enjoying life just as I did before the "Hepatitis-dominated" period of my life. I eat healthily and drink more water than I used to, but I can enjoy my glass or two of wine with dinner again and i generally feel I have rejoined the world of the living!
Avatar n tn He is one of the heads with Rocky Mountain Gastro and works with CU Medical Center for treatment of chronic hepatitis C. Keep strong ral. You are doing and have done well with your treatment. Give yourself a lot of credit for being very strong. Talk to your doctor about extended treatment if you can take a few extra weeks on the medication.
598237 tn?1225647072 I know of a child who got a hepatitis A vaccine and ended up paralyzed for a short period of time. It will take upto 2 years to go through rehab and fully recover. And margypops, I am not sure anyone is telling it as they see it because no one knows of every case. Just as I should not judge anyone for not using every available avenue for their child neither should someone tell me I am doping up my child when that is not the case.
Avatar n tn At first I thought it was my liver because it got worse when I drank, so I got a PET scan of my liver and spleen and got blood tests and everything was normal. I also got a endoscopy and colonoscopy because I was constipated for 2 weeks and that was all normal except for chronic gastritis. My uncle is a nurse and said that the pain sounds like it could be my gallbladder, so I had a ultrasound on my gallbladder, pancreas and right kidney 2 days ago and they said everything is normal there too.
