I've been taking Zyprexa at bedtime for the past few nights, per Endo #3, and I feel a lot better, folks. As a matter of fact, I felt better almost immediately after taking the first dose. It seems to act quick, like Xanax, but stays in the bloodstream longer or something. Dr. Pretorius was concerned that I was getting a little too used to Xanax, so he wants me to try to gradually come off of that and he'll increase the Zyprexa dosage.

I personally often stop the xalatan for a few months after surgery and use another glaucoma drop instead but many doctors don't do that. Basically, if your surgeon is experienced and excellent, the chances of success are very, very high.

Hi I would like to know if after three years of taking low doses of sertraline 25 mg and 2.5 mg of Zyprexa the nausea and dizziness I feel can be due to the discontinuation of the meds. Sounds like that Celexa was pooping out on you and you needed the Zyprexa to jump start it. Same thing has happened to me on more than a few antidepressants. Lithium also makes for a good booster drug, but most people don't try it as an add on because they think it's only for Bi-polar.

My next appt to follow up on my suspicious glaucoma status is 7/16. My husband and I are trying to conceive right now. I wonder if it is safe to use glaucoma eye drops when conceiving or pregnant? I"m pretty sure he's gonna put me on glaucoma eye drops.

There is a form of glaucoma (normal tension glaucoma) that sometimes fools doctors into thinking the glaucoma is under control or not present as the eye pressure seems OK but the vision might still deteriorate. If ever in doubt, you could always get a second opinion with another glaucoma specialist to make sure everything is being done correctly.

Remember thee were studies that showed that smoking was good for you, that opioids were not addicting, and that coffee caused ulcers.

However what you are describing is unusual and potentially of concern so it would be worthwhile to speak to your psychiatrist and they can see whether the Zyprexa is just not treating what it was prescribed for yet as it was just started or if it is worsening things and what the specific cause of the insomnia is as that can be treated as well. Also keep a mood tracker and sleep tracker and see how things are on a daily basis and how they change and print out the results for your psychiatrist.

It has been 4 weeks since I took my last pill and have not slept very much at all and feel alot of anxiety and feel like I have bugs under my skin and have no appetite. I find it very diffifuclt to make it through the day at work and my mind is mush. I was told to take 5-htp and would make a big difference. I don't know if it is related to withdrawals or the 5-htp but I really couldn't sleep when I took that, which makes no sense since people take it to help insomnia.

dear Doctor, my vision is blurry when I read small text and the opthamologist says I probably have early glaucoma- I did the spark field of vision test and couldn't see the peripheral sparks. I argued him into giving me steroidal eye drops. is my vision going to deteriorate and I should only read larger text? See an Eye MD ophthalmologist every year and going blind from glaucoma is very unlikely. Most glaucoma patients go blind because they don't use their medicine, stop going to the doctor or don't have the disease diagnosed until end stage.

In this case you probably do NOT have a condition called angle closure glaucoma. This is the type of glaucoma that can be affected by cold medications. If you have open angle glaucoma or any other type of glaucoma, cold medications are fine.

l visited my eye doctor today and asked him if l should go back on the eye drops because my pressure is backup , he took scans and said all the scans and tests were good and the nerve damage and glaucoma has not gotten worse since l stopped the eye drops so there no need to go back on them.
