zolpidem vs temazepam

I previously alternated between temazepam and zolpidem for sleep. I also take gabapentin. Three weeks ago I stopped temazepam and tramadol. I am taking zolpidem every night now and continue gabapentin 3x a day. I don't crave either of the meds I quit, but I have been experiencing inability to concentrate, ringing in my ears, vomiting, blurry vision, sweating, confusion, anxiety and mood swings. The symptoms wax and wane and I can't find a pattern.

These agents have been used successfully in treating nonhypercapnic central sleep apnea. Temazepam and zolpidem have been shown to be effective under these circumstances and are believed to work by consolidating the sleep pattern, thus minimizing the instability in ventilation induced by sleep-wake transitions. A case series showed zolpidem reduced central apneas, and the overall apnea-hypopnea index, without worsening obstructive events.

I took Zolpidem during the 1st part off treatment then Unisom. They both helped, but I never really slept well. The RBV kept me wired. Good luck.

Both,, zolpidem and temazepam.. zolpidem has a side affect of upper lower torso pain pain like E.R pain. Even if you report this pain to a doc. ? Get off it.

I am also taking Adderall 20mg, once when I wake up, and 10mg about 4 hours later, and another 10 mg later, if needed, but seldom take the last one. After talking with doc briefly, he decided to let me swap over to Temazepam from Trazodone. I know I shouldn't just stop trazodone, but I did, which of course is making it worse when I am trying to sleep. First, about 5 days ago, doc had me double my trazodone, took 100mg.

I took 10mg Temazepam and by midnight I was still not sleepy enough/knocked out so ended up taking 25mg Seroquel. This is not working for me! I want to sleep like a normal person and if I take the Seroquel, I feel terrible during the day! Anyone with advice?

Hey all...just wondering if any of you guys have had Temazepam while on a stimulant? (I'm on dexamphetamine 50mg over the day) I haven't been sleeping well for quite some time now (i was awake for over 40 hours a couple weeks back) so my doctor has given me a short course of Temazepam to try and get my sleeping patterns right again.

I was on day 3 when i went and i had anxiety like no other the dentist gave me a script for temazepam and extrastrenght vicodin witch is what i was quiting like to say now on day 6. But on next wednesday i might be put back thats the day i go. Im going to try and not fill the script unless i just cant tollerate the pain. Is temazepam addictive? He gave me 30 of those too! I dont want any kind of medication i thought last day one was it. Uhh so frustrated. Any advise is helpfull!

Look at the prescription bottle to see which company manufactured the zolpidem. For many years a pharmacy sent me 90 day supplies of zolpidem from Mylan (manufacturer) which worked well. Then one time I noticed the color of the pills had changed to white and the shape was a little different. Those pills were from Teva (manufacturer) and gave me headaches, dizziness and a general sense of unwellness.

I need to be awake and all systems firing for that day and after a long conversation about whether I could not go, or may be fly instead of coaching it, he gave a prescription for Zolpidem sleeping tablets 5mg. I have a tendency to wake up in the middle of the night and lie in bed with leg and arm pain a bit like flu but with out the fever for several hours. The idea of the sleeping tablet is to give me a full nights sleep, so I am brighter the next day.

Hello and hope you are doing well. Insomnia is a side effect of Amitriptyline. But you may develop tolerance to this effect. However if it persists, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I would like to know a bit about herbs which can help a person recover. My father is addicted to Ambien (zolpidem) 10 mg. He has been taking it from the past 5 years. He is down to 5 mg now but that took him 6 months. Now he is stuck at 5 mg and says if he tries taking a smaller dose, he is experiencing what I would describe as withdrawals. He is unable to sleep (insomnia), he feels something bad is going to happen (anxiety) etc So I thought I would ask him to try a herb.

Zolpidem Zolpidem should normally be taken for short periods of time. If you take zolpidem for 2 weeks or longer, zolpidem may not help you sleep as well as it did when you first began to take the medication. If you take zolpidem for a long time, you also may develop dependence ('addiction,' a need to continue taking the medication) on zolpidem. Any of you guys have an opinion on usgae low dose to zolpidem 5mg along with 25/50mg of diphenhydramine.....does one cancel out other or issing together worse on liver or not.....?

However temazepam produces far more sedation than alprazolam so even though 15 mg of temazepam is equal to 0.375 mg does not mean it is weak. 0.375 mg of alprazolam would rarely cause sleep but 15 mg of temazepam certainly can. Also alprazolam is a poor hypnotic due to the fact it is more effective at producing anxiolysis (reduced anxiety) than sleep. In addition alprazolam significantly disturbs sleep architecture (when taken for sleep) which can worsen insomnia.

Does anyone have any information or experience regarding using ambien versus temazepam? I've been taking ambien for 60 days, and my Dr. today gave me a prescription for temazepam 15mg as an alternative to ambien. He said it should give me a few more hours of sleep. Ambien right now is good for about 5 hours of dead-to-the-world sleep, followed by a few hours of in-and-out sleep. Not very satisfying. Besides, I've taken it longer than I really wanted to.

I was hearing people talking and laying awake all night and going to work all day. I called my doctor and he prescribed Temazepam 30mg capsules. I fell asleep in 20 minutes that night and have been taking one capsule every night for the last 12 years. How can I get off of Temazepam? d go straight into a panic so they started me on zolpidem 10 at night. I have been on it for 18 months now and zolpidem does not work, and I don't want to take more, so will try wean off that, but I know what will happen, back to adrenalin rushes...plus Xanax seems to have no effect, but if I don't take it, I know I have'nt, if that makes sense. m have a hard time to get to sleep now without the Melatonine, I found some Temazepam 10mg Tablets but I dont know if I can take them without any trouble cause of the Dexamphetamine. s generic form zolpidem. it has always work up until two months ago when apparently the pharmacy changed suppliers. i took the little round purle pill up until then and now i take a white oval one. This one does not seem to be working as well and the side effect just seem wierd Does anyone think that the new manufacturer product is inferior and has anyone experienced this?

The GP I saw today said I may have developed a tolerance to the lorazepam so instead prescribed temazepam for sleep (to be reviewed in one week). He also wrote a follow-up letter to my GP's one asking the psych services for more support. This doctor comes across as being more assertive so he may have more luck. This doctor also has very strict limits and appears (is) less empathetic than my GP. The district inspector never phoned so I'll need to follow that up next week.

At this time I was also taking zolpidem every night. I read some stuff on zolpidem side effects and it appeared that after my surgery some of the rare side effects started cropping up. I attributed my anxiety to that. So I quit the zolpidem ct (which I probably shouldn't have) and did have a miserable few weeks, but a lot of the pains I was feeling went away. Of course new pains showed up like a back ache, which I still have.
