Zoloft get high

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft get high

zoloft

Avatar n tn m going to probably get off zoloft completely and try something else. Maybe zoloft has just run its course with me. But i'm going to keep giving it a chance and not give up on the plan yet.
Avatar m tn Three days is pretty soon to know if it's going to work. Prozac is much easier to get off of than any other ssri or the snris. It also tends to have fewer side effects. But that doesn't mean it will work for you or you'll have that experience. A lot of these cause anxiety before they reduce it, but some just cause it. Depends on the person. Are you in therapy? All these meds have downsides.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the additional information. Did you feel anxious when you were taking your BP at Wal-Mart? As for the Zoloft, so if I understand correctly, you were restarted on 100mg after being completely off the Zoloft for 6 months? If so, I would clarify that dose with your doc tomorrow. You were off the Zoloft long enough where jumping right back on a dose like that could be very difficult to tolerate.
Avatar f tn I really dont know if i need that high of a dosage. He also told me when it was time to get off of them that i could just stop taking them and i would be fine? I have always herd that you need to gradually do it expecially since i am on 100 mg. Does anyone know anything about this?
20501556 tn?1499447492 76 yr old female taking Zoloft for a few months was admitted to hospital from ER for nausea, vomiting, dehydration and UTI. Hospitalist stopped the Zoloft for a few days due to renal failure.  Patient (my mom) has history of Crohns and currently has ileostomy and mucus fistula stoma from late April 2017 surgery. Suffering from high output (over 2 liters daily) pure liquid and wondering if this is possible side effect of not having Zoloft for those few days.
Avatar f tn My psychiatrist wants to keep me on medication for a whole year but I really don’t want to and I have found that through my theraphy, yoga, and meditation I have controlled my anxiety. Also I plan to get pregnant in a year and my doctor said that I can be pregnant and on Zoloft but that just didn’t sound right to me so my other question is can you be on Zoloft and be pregnant? Is it healthy for the baby?.
940642 tn?1336063511 I must take VERY high dosages of antidepressants and mood stabilizers just to get any effect from them because I am very medication resistant. If your depression is mild to moderate, then I think you can taper off Zoloft and go med free. In your case it can't hurt to try. If it fails to work then you can simply go back on Zoloft. From listening to what you said I get the feeling that your depression may not be severe or chronic. In that case getting off meds can be done.
Avatar f tn I used to be on zoloft for 12 years, it is a wonderful drug, I think you just need to give it time to adjust. I remember when I first started it, I never thought it would work then one day it was a light came on!! Stick with it, I wish it still worked for me!!
Avatar n tn My first dose of Zoloft was this morning. 100mg morning and 100mg at night. I wonder if this will get worse over the next few days. Has anyone ever experienced withdrawal from switching from one SSRI to another. Even after taking the Zoloft I feel no different and no better. I haven't had a full blown panic attack like before I got on the Paxil but an anxious and not sleeping as well as with Paxil. It's not horrific but it's uncomfortable.
Avatar f tn So for the past 6 months I have been taking Zoloft for my depression, and so far it's doing an okay job at keeping suicidal thoughts and strong urges to harm myself or start bursting into tears at bay. However, I also have anxiety and the Zoloft is doing nothing to help with that, not that I really expected it to. I freak out over the tiniest of things, I suspect things are bad or I'm convinced of the worst case scenarios.
Avatar m tn If any of you read another post of mine about someone asking about the antidepressant effect of tramadol, i stated that tramadols closest chemical relative was Effexor albeit the synthetic opiate component. So combining your Zoloft with high doses of tramadol is probably not a great idea and yes, would great increase your chances of serotonin syndrome. With that in mind you will feel much better starting your Zoloft or increasing it as your are tapering off the tramadol.
Avatar f tn So today is day eleven cold turkey. Do I start taking Zoloft again after this long? I just want to get off the stuff, but these side affects are almost worse than the reason I was on Zoloft to begin with.
Avatar f tn I take zoloft only with a benzo as needed, about 1 a month. They can't leave you on klonopin long term but may give you some for high anxiety times. Each time I have had the zoloft raised, I take 75mg now, it does seem to have some effect for a few days but seems to go away. At 100 mg it was just too much for me and the side effects wouldn't go away so it depends on the person what dosage you can take but it won't be the same as the klonopin. The klonopin relaxes you more.
Avatar m tn 0Mgs of Lorazepam and 300Mgs of Zoloft, that may be a problem. Your dosages on your Zoloft and Lorazepam are ultra low. No question in my mind that your safe. Nice thing about Benzos and SSRI's is that they play together nice and their is no bad interaction between the two. Just watch that Lorazepam my friend. It's a safe drug, but it has a way of making you want more and more the longer you take it. I am addicted to Benzos and I never thought it would happen to me.
Avatar f tn I wouldn't do it. First, no two drugs work the same, so no drug substitutes for another. There has to be some difference in how they work or both drugs couldn't get patents. Second, these two drugs don't work at all the same in any way. Zoloft targets certain serotonin receptors for impact and blocks the normal action of the enzyme that breaks down serotonin so it washes around in those targeted receptor sites longer than the body does it in normal action.
Avatar f tn Hi, this past Monday I went to my new doctor (just moved) due to high levels of anxiety I've been experiencing. She prescribed me Xanex and Zoloft. She ordered some blood tests and I just was told my white blood count was a 12.9 when it should be below 10. They want me to go get rechecked. I am terrified I have some horrible disease! I was tested for STDs/HIV last year at the health dept and was negative (married and no other partners in the past 2 years).
Avatar f tn I felt fine before that day, but now my anxiety is still very high everyday. I have taken 25mg of Zoloft for almost 3 weeks and take Xanax (.50mg) daily to control the anxiety. So far, I have felt no benefit from the Zoloft and may even be more anxious now. Each day is a struggle, but I still make it to work and do my thing aound the house. I see my Doc next week and wonder if he too will up the dose to 50mg.
1173196 tn?1292916490 maybe Zoloft is ok to take unless you get warning signs or are at high risk for hypertension! your midwives should know what they are talking about, but do more reasearch on it if you are not sure!
Avatar f tn I have a question. I have been on zoloft for about 3 weeks 25 mg and I have started to notice my right hand shacks...is this a common side effect??
2032582 tn?1344530876 If your BP is high you could get these symptoms, but it would be very high and if you're normal most of the time, it would be less likely to be BP. The ability to hear your BP in your ears is also pretty common, but could also be a symptom of very high BP. Are you on the Zoloft when this happens? In any case, you should mention this to your doctor to be safe.
Avatar n tn My bp has been running quite high.. one time it was 169/110 then 159/99 then 144/97.. I have alot of stress.. Dr put me on zoloft twice 100 mg twice a day klonopin 1mg twice a day.. then he sent me to the lab to get platelet count.. Iam really worried and scared and anxiety has been out of this world.. I have depression also.. i basically spilled my guts out in his ofc crying.. i just dont understand all this... Any help might help...
Avatar m tn They will work for you to find the best med. It does sound like the Zoloft is too high in dosage but try it at night to see what happens. I'm sure you want to take care of this before school starts. Make an appt with the doc please. We are here if you need us.
Avatar n tn I did another physical 3 wks ago, and it showed my TSH levels off and my Cholesterol as 276 with high LDL cholesterol also. My HDL level was high, which is great. I exercise and eat very healthy. My question is, if Sertraline caused the hypothyroidism, which I have found several articles that imply it could've, will stopping the medication automatically reverse my subclinical hypothyroidism without taking medicine to offset my thyroid levels?
