Zoloft and sweating

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft and sweating

zoloft

1379090 tn?1279032110 I take wellbutrin and recently stopped zoloft. My psych told me that wellbutrin increases sweating. I have horrible night sweats and start sweating at the drop of a hat during the day. And I'm only 25 so it has to be the medication. It's so bad that I've considered getting off the wellbutrin as well. I'd rather be deppresed than soaked with sweat all day!
410475 tn?1262942367 I did a quick check on medhelp on Zoloft and sweating, and found this post: "I've been on zoloft for 2yrs. just uped to 200mlg. and the night sweats have gottensooo bad. is there any chance they will go away?" by Hensley258 [This user is a Community Leader for this forum] Nashville - Apr 19, 2008 11:39PM To: jjaberwaky I'm right there with you. Many of these AD meds can cause excessive sweating.
Avatar f tn I have had excessive head sweating for the past 2 years,i am post menopause and very active.I do not feel comfortble enough anymore to enjoy life no one wants to hug a sweathog!!I take zoloft for panic attacks and vasotech 5mg daily for bp which has never been over 140/80 but Dr. said it was time to watch it.I may be 15lbs overweight but i could sweat that off tonight. I was a chronic prescribed diet pill user[tenuate] but stopped three years ago with no problem.
Avatar n tn I looked up Zoloft in my PDR and all of your symptoms except sweating are listed as possible side effects. You'll have to decide if Zoloft is good enough that you can put up with the sweating. If not, I would ask to be switched to another antidepressant. If the sweating is still there after the change then something else is causing it.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am on Zoloft and it has never caused me to sweat at all...... I hope this helps...
Avatar n tn First of all, do you take any other depression drugs, or mood disorder drugs such as SNRIs and SSRI ? If mixed with these, Zoloft can cause serotonin syndrome. This includes fever, sweating, muscle stiffness, trouble thinking clearly, a change in mental functioning, sleepiness, or change in your breathing, heartbeat and blood pressure disorder. If this is the case, you should stop taking Zoloft and speak to your Doctor.
Avatar f tn hi i am new in this group find out from a doctor i have anxiety and depression they called it situantional anxiety and depression.he precribed me Zoloft on Sept 14th was nervious before taking it did have some side effects but went away like itching then longer i took the itching got worse and felt like flu like systems had a low grade fever 99.0. found out from my primary doctor had sinus infection took meds for the infection finished medicine felt better.
Avatar m tn but i have heard about the brain fog before so it normal, the zoloft is great for those symptoms, try it and see how it works for you.
Avatar m tn I have been off of it now for 4 days, and I still am experiencing sweating, insomnia, as well as jittery-ness and restless legs. Can these symptoms be a by-product of withdrawal and still have trace amounts of the Zoloft in my system? Can I expect these to go away in another day or two?
Avatar m tn I just had a follow up with my psych doc and asked her about the hot feeling and sweating and she said it definitely can be from the Zoloft and also from excess underlying anxiety.
Avatar m tn You do need the Ativan and Zoloft, and know each day on the Zoloft you are closer to feeling better and it will help control your racing mind. I agree that therapy would be very beneficial for you. Getting to the root of your problem is always the best way to go. It is a vicious cycle created by worry which feeds our anxiety. Hopefully, your doctor can help you with this and ask to be referred to a therapist. Take care.
Avatar f tn I love my life and my friends and family but yes I take zoloft. At first, it was a lifesaver and i believe it is a GREAT medicine. However, I have been sweating verrrryyyyy badly lately. It is at the point where I am so embarressed to go out... My boyfriend has noticed.. So have my friends. I work hours on my hair but what is the point. it ends up turning into a pool of water. what sux is that I live now in Missouri...so yes it is hot.
Avatar m tn Ok First, How long were you taking just the 25Mgs of Zoloft before you started to slide back down? Was the Zoloft ever effective for you and for how long?
Avatar n tn if a person takes wellbutrin and zoloft and is doing well other than insomnia, can trazadone be added to the wellbutrin and zoloft to improve sleep?
Avatar m tn ve been taking Zoloft 100mg for OCD for the last 4 weeks, my dr increased me to 150mg. Is it normal to have nervousness and increased sweating and headache when increasing dosage? I was feeling good on 100 mg and side effects were subsiding. How long will it take to adjust to 150? I also was just put on 10mg of lisiniprol for high blood pressure. And I'm taking gabapentin for insomnia from the Zoloft. I really appreciated any advice!
10379139 tn?1409706165 My father killed himself when I was 2 so my thinking process from the wellbutrin is scaring me. I still have some Zoloft. Should I stop the wellbutrin and restart Zoloft immediately? This is such a terrible feeling. Anyone ever have this problem with wellbutrin?
Avatar f tn t very consistent with it though) and so I have been taking less of the Zoloft and more of the Prozac. Every four days, I take 25 less of the Zoloft and I am slowly going up to at least 10 mL of Prozac. Right now I'm at 5 mL of Prozac and 25 mg of Zoloft, and yesterday I started to gag horribly. Since then I haven't felt any better. I keep gagging and have a hard time eating or drinking because of it. What makes things worse is I have a fear of vomiting.
Avatar m tn i have the same problem as u. i think i have hyperhidrosis, and so it puts me in a cycle of sweating - fear of sweating- sweating more...etc... i sometimes try to say to myself that the hell with it i dun care, but its harder done than said. i need a solution too..
Avatar m tn It increases the concentration of zoloft and causes serotonin syndrome which can manifest as sweating, tremors etc. I would advice you to consult allergy specialist to discuss about this alternatives. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn According to this, it can be a 3 day effect. https://familydoctor.
Avatar m tn profuse sweating, hot and tingling hands and feet. I thought the Zoloft would control this. Has anyone experienced anxiety while on Zoloft? Should it happen? Thanks in advance.
1131131 tn?1275108488 Common side effect when starting are nausea and dizziness. High blood pressure, sweating, tremors, shaking are definitely a bad reactions and might also occur with a SNRI. You can try but i think this bad reaction can be avoided with Lyrica or Neurotin but who knows, you could have a bad reaction too but they mechanisms of action are totally different from the SNRIs and SSRIs. Please consider that I'm not a doctor nor a pharmacist and those issues must be discussed with you doctor.
Avatar n tn I had no choice but to go back on and tapering did not help. I had months withdrawal even taking Zoloft. My opioid withdrawal lasted 3 days and was not as severe.
