zoloft and excessive sweating

I have had excessive head sweating for the past 2 years,i am post menopause and very active.I do not feel comfortble enough anymore to enjoy life no one wants to hug a sweathog!!I take zoloft for panic attacks and vasotech 5mg daily for bp which has never been over 140/80 but Dr. said it was time to watch it.I may be 15lbs overweight but i could sweat that off tonight. I was a chronic prescribed diet pill user[tenuate] but stopped three years ago with no problem.

I just had a follow up with my psych doc and asked her about the hot feeling and sweating and she said it definitely can be from the Zoloft and also from excess underlying anxiety.

For the past two months I have been sweating a lot. Especially at night. On occasion, I wake up and the back of my neck (my hair line underneath my hair) will be soaking wet. This doesn't happen every night but it has happened on more than one occasion. But what I am mainly concerned about is during the night.....I never wake up too hot. But when I wake up nearly every morning my sleep pants are damp. They are not soaked by any means but it is very noticeable.

I love my life and my friends and family but yes I take zoloft. At first, it was a lifesaver and i believe it is a GREAT medicine. However, I have been sweating verrrryyyyy badly lately. Has anyone else taking Fluoxetine (similar to Prozac) experienced side effects? I have noticed some odd changes in the way my body responds to exercise; specifically, excessive sweating. I'm not sure if the medication is directly linked, but in the past year (I have been taking the drug for about 2.5 years) I break into an all over the body sweat very easily, and it has happened even when I'm not exercising.

i feel a sivier burning sensation on my skin (in between neck and navel area) followed by excessive sweating. all this time i feel like i want to run in to a near by ac or fan. i went many type of doctors and they where unable to find the problem. Please advise me.

I'm 6'2" and 235lbs (1.88m and 107kg) and my heart beat is 54 and my blood pressure is 125/75 - which I'm happy with. The trouble is it doesn't take much to make me perspire.. Is this an overweight issue or something else?

I have had CHF and there is no sweating involved, and I have researched the subject and answered the question several times in the past...its a matter of confusing HA and HF.. It can be explained and there has been a study done on the subject. The study was whether either sweating or skin/blood responses would be impaired in heart failure patients. It was found that for the same level of internal temperature, the heart failure patient does not dilate blood vessels of the skin as much.

Like others I was at Kroger and had spell was sweating furiously and everyone was avoiding me like they thought I had flu or something. I have Addisons , MS, and COPD all of witch cause me to be weak, shakes , light headed , when I got home my BP was 83/44 and temp was 99.6 and felt like blood sugar had droped ? As most of you know, I had my surgery on 3/6 and am doing ok..but, my question is about my son. I know that in some cases CM can be passed on to your children. My 18 yr old has an interview for a job that requires him to wear a suit and he is so scared to go because he sweats so much. He has always been that way but I never thought a whole lot about it. Just thought he was a teenage boy.

I am 35 years old and for the past year any little thing I do I start sweating to the point where the hair on my head and face are litlerally dripping with sweat. It looks like I just got out of the shower. I am wondering if I have hormone issues. I go to my GYN in 2 weeks for my yearly exam and I am going to request he do some hormone panels on me. Playing for 3 hours non-stop is a little excessive and can cause excessive sweating caused by ketosis if you have a fast metabolism like me (not eating enough carbs) and that isn't a good thing. If you are healthy, there really shouldn't be a terrible smell to your sweat. The smells are toxins being released, which is good, but if you sweat regularily, keep well hydrated and eat properly, you shouldn't smell bad when you sweat at all.

for yrs I had the opposite issue...no sweating...but, I did have an increase...and it was usually if I was cold...I would sweat profusely under my arms.......I have no idea why this was going on, but this is changing since surgery..... Good luck in June, know we will keep u in our prayers.

I had been using old spice gel before. And ever since then I have been sweating much much more. Until now I had never had sweat drip down my arms (except for long periods of physical exercise). But know when I am sitting in my house with a tee-shirt on I have sweat dripping down my arms. I have stopped the deodorant, but the sweating is not going away. Other than changing deodorant nothing in my life had changed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You could have a blood test done to have your thyroid function checked.

Because I take my medicine only as prescribed-could it be adding to my problem of excessive sweating? I have been on this med for 19 months and just started with the sweating in May 2014. I welcome your feedback and thank you in advance.

Certain Dri sounds alot like that Dictorol that i have already tried, the itchyness drove me bonkers and was too much to handle. I was also gave a talc which is for excessive sweating but that did nothing at all. Thanks again for your help!

Can you please give us more information to better answer your question? Have you been diagnosed with anxiety, are you male or female? I'm asking that question because if you're a female there could be a hormonal imbalance or menopause. If you have anxiety that may be the cause of your sweating. Also, if you're on meds like and antidepressant sweating could be a possible side effect.

I take wellbutrin and recently stopped zoloft. My psych told me that wellbutrin increases sweating. I have horrible night sweats and start sweating at the drop of a hat during the day. And I'm only 25 so it has to be the medication. It's so bad that I've considered getting off the wellbutrin as well. I'd rather be deppresed than soaked with sweat all day!
